The fact that I’ve read from multiple systems that this show has done a much better job of portraying DID (despite various theatrical and fantastical elements) makes me so happy. I’m autistic and I know all too well how poorly media can portray ND people and how much damage such depictions can do. I’m really glad this show is a more positive portrayal than other media have before.

i was so obsessed with this show i stayed up till 3 am to watch it every release…this episode genuinely broke me. i personally have a very similar trauma and it’s so heartbreaking to watch it happen to someone else. I applaud marvel for showing what abuse and neglect can do to an already traumatized child. It takes your entire childhood away from you… you forget everything about yourself and in most cases you develop several disorders.. It’s horrible cause this is a time i wish i didnt relate to a marvel hero.. anyone going through trauma because of horrible parents jus know that it’s not your fault and you are who you make yourself to be.. don’t let others try to fit you into a box.

People like to talk shit about Phase 4 but from it's conception, it allowed creators to stray away from the usual Marvel storytelling and get emotional and real about the world. P4 gave us WandaVision's story about depression and denial but also 'What is grief, if not love persevering'; one of the most important moments about racial injustice in a Marvel movie/show in TFATWS when Isaiah tells his story to Sam. Miss Marvel retelling of Partition of India and Pakistan and Moonknight's showing how neither gods nor superpowers can help you with mental struggle from childhood abuse, but self acceptance and family/friends can. I would love to see more of Moon Knight in the MCU.
You can also add Peter Parker's sacrifice on No Way Home for the greater good. Sht still fckng hurts knowing that everybody he loves doesnt know him anymore. His guardians are dead and he is all alone but he needs to be positive and be the friendly neighborhood Spider-Man. If I was Peter, I think Im just gonna lose my shit.

My mother abused me my whole life. Its been 5 years since i left and shes made no attempt to apologize or reach out. this episode meant a lot to me, both because it showed my story, and because it showed a problem that is disgustingly common but is swept under the rug. every person deserves a childhood. every person deserves a loving family.
