PS1 can work on internal hdd only if it has convert to ps2 format . But if on external hdd/usb storage you can play ps1 iso format using ps2psxe. Actually, PS2 has various game formats. Namely winhiip, usbextreme, PS2ESDL, and also the iso game. Winhiip for the internal hard drive. usbextreme + PS2ESDL + iso for usb game. ISO games can also for ethernet game (LAN). Especially Iso game must be placed in a folder CD (if the game 700 MB) with name format IDGAME.Game Name.iso for example SLUS_210.60.SMACK DOWN VS RAW.iso . You can use iso2opl for simple way

The claim was that 5.0 wasn't better than 4.0, that 4.0 might have been a clone of the matrix, but that 5.0 was some generic chip with added unnecessary code, I already have a 5.0 coming so I wanted to get a second opinion, before went and spent MORE money on a matrix chip and more time waiting for it to come. I'm glad to hear you have seen succeess on the slim revisions with the 5.0
I installed 2 of these and worked perfect however. On the 3rd the ps2 did not showed any pic or video it does turn on but it doesnt show anything could this be a faulty modchip?

My ps2 with modbo 5.0 work same as 1:26 min.... But after that it open some setting..... I don't know how I can get my game file list
You have to configure it first and save to mass .
I was just told that modbo 5 isn't good to use on a PS2 slim (75001) do you find this to be true in your experience?
