I have lived in Orlando for the past 36 years. I have only ever been to the west coast a few times. Did a weekend getaway to Anna Maria Island back in 2001. Absolutely loved it there. I want so badly to move over there and live on a beach. I guess for now, these videos are as close as I can get. So glad I found you on here.
All I'm hearing is you went on vacation and caught crabs 😂 love the video! Manatees are the ONE florida critter I have yet to see. Apparently "hang out with you two" is the remedy!
YES - that is actually what we should have titled this episode 😆 It does seem like the manatees are following us this year, probably to snack on Jamie's long hair...
Our week in Long Boat was fantastic. We loved how few people were on the beaches. Also Bike riding in Long Boat is great! We biked over the entire Island over 8 days. We went to Whitney's to sample the pie you recommended but they no longer have it. :-( Great restaurants up and down Long Boat Key as well.
Thanks so much for sharing about your Longboat trip, it makes us happy to know that you enjoyed it. Each year we say we are going to ride our bikes, but end up being beach bums 😆 next year we will have to get out on the bikes. It does make us sad to know that Whitney's no longer has that pie, not only did it look incredible but it was absolutely delicious!
