My father taught me the value of $1 by teaching me how, as a 7-8yo kid, if I wanted penny candies from the corner store, I could collect worms that came up after rain & emptying my kiddie pool, & I could sell them to the bait shop down the block, which he would walk me to & stand w/me while they counted my worms & paid me $0.01ea, so if I had 20 worms, I got 20 pieces of candy I'd be allowed to have after eating my dinner. Oh, fond childhood memories are few & far between for so many of us, but I remember feeling like I'd won the lottery digging out each worm. 😂❤
Jenna, when RUclips notifies me every new video you upload … i Have to leave anything I am doing 😂😂 your videos are a Warm Light to me , t h a n k s ! ❤❤❤❤❤
I always think of Aarons..Everyone got a single cookie once a week
Jenna, you can’t follow the story and were bored by it because LRH is a really bad SciFi author. My brother is a sci fi aficionado and even when he was young he read one of LRHs sci fi books and he said, when LRH wrote about a guy walking out in space breathing the atmosphere with no space suit on and walking around on the ship in regular shoes, with no thought of science at all, he never read another book, and my bros. Had an interesting conversation with some Scientologists later in life who tried to recruit him. I think they had no chance with someone who had such disregard for LRH. The irony is the name of the religion has the word science in it, and LRH seemed to know nothing about Science. So you knew even then how bad the story telling was. Lol 😂👍🏻
LRH’s pulp novels were absolutely terrible. Back then they got paid by the word, so the story didn’t have to be good. These were cheap dime store novels.
Replay crew: love the conversation. Both of you are such fighters and offer great inspiration
Per Wikipedia:
"There is something in Amish community called Rumspringa. Beginning at about age 16, Amish youth are no longer under the total control of their parents on weekends and, because they are not baptized, they are not yet under the authority of the church.
Some Amish youth choose to separate themselves from the community, even going to live among the "English," or non-Amish Americans, and experiencing modern technology. Their behavior during this time does not necessarily prevent them from returning for adult baptism into the Amish church."
This was great, Jenna & Natalie! 💚💫💜
It sounds like her friend was a Jehovah's witness, especially when she said door to door! I'm so proud of Jenna for being brave to not only break the meter, and to escape the cult. Sounds like she's much happier now than when she was in the cult.
She was a JW completely and entirely. That is why she had to go church 4 times a week and go door to door.
The chick that interviewed her has some balls 😂😂😂 she knew what she was doing
stomped on the cans!!? L.E.G.E.N.D.
@@danielmustardshomelesssong950 iconic!
Yes!!! 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
Y’all deserve to hangout ❤❤❤
@Jenna. Was that Silka Peens? I know the Peens family from South Africa, Pretoria Org. Heide, the mom was my auditor for a long time. It was horrifying
Yep! Sure was!
Oh god!! I have a Rebecca minkoff bag!! Didn’t know who she was… (bought on second hand sight.) must get rid of it now!
Hey Jen. Silke? Silke Peens (maiden name)? I know her mom. Super generous sweet lady her mom is.
I bought a Minkoff bag. It is awesome. I had no idea shenwasnansecond gen!
Love you Both! Amazing humans sharing the love and strength xox
Even in the Amish Community, there is Rumspringa. Scientology never gave that Grace.
I left a comment on that interview that Rebecca Minkoff did with her friend. It’s the only comment and it is still up. I encourage all of you to do the same. If you want, lol. Her RUclips is called Rebecca Minkoff.
Awesome episode love both of you ❤
Let’s not forget that it takes money to make money (usually). I’m sure her scientologist daddy helped her A LOT. Can’t deny she has talent for fashion but so many people do but can’t catch a break into the industry. It’s so sad she is in the cult. For that reason alone I would never purchase her “name” brand stuff. It is just stuff.
Her father should be in jail.
I think Silke is still in. I think her mom Heide recently talked about her being still in the U.S. lot's of Peens relatives in the USA.
Partying or experimenting during the teens and 20s is pretty much a normal thing. I wouldn't call it rebelling (raised liberal catholic, minimal restrictions, all girls high school) because I did my schoolwork.
Hi 👋 from NY
The friend could be flds? The guy from Growing Up in Polygamy (that's a yt channel) was disconnected or shunned, when he left.
I've heard many current and ex "church" members talk about how they had to fabricate OWs, whether they had any or not, while getting interrogated. Does everyone in this "church" do this?
Where have you heard many conversations from current members? I'd love to hear some of those since they don't ever seem to speak to anyone who isn't in their cult.
@@Julia-uh4li That is for me to know and uncle dave to find out.
I can't speak for anyone else but as a young child did in Catholic confession then again in scientology as a child and as adult. There is only so much "and what else" you have before you make it up to make the other side happy 🤦♀️Both were pointless in my honest opinion
Answer: no. 🎉😂❤
@@SPCrusader It seems that not only do these religious practices induce their members to lie but also perpetuate the illusion of false reality.
Partying in high school / college - that's normal, isn't it?
I wouldn't say I rebelled (born and raised liberal catholic, minimal restrictions) as I had nothing to rebel against. I did the usual experimentation but did schoolwork also.
Each time I see this building I was the lrh artists ic cmoi top floor of that building
Do you miss it?😂 Just kidding. I’d love to hear more about what the LRH Artist’s I/C does. I didn’t realize that was a CMO post.
Wel we made that vulCano on dianetis designed letterforms al artwork for lrh
Glad I m not a part anymore
46:00 Finally I agree with Scientology on something. Gluten IS bad for you.
There is only a small percentage of humans in the world that are gluten intolerant. So it might be bad for you specifically but wheat has fueled empire after empire for the last 12,000 years.
Repay:jenna lir 26:25 😊ally tell my story. but I got to grab my kids. I ran down a 8ft snow mountain till I found a road. He was scared but accepted help. down to my truvk & u drove away with difficult to explain but I just ran.
Hllo from the recap after work lol
🤩👋
Wo ho ho it’s magic 💜 you two 😘😆
Anyone that thinks they might be blocked or not seen in chat just try to delete a comment and if you can you’re visible if not 😩😂
I think they should put in the dictionary what a destructive cult is.
Cuz I'm just thinking if someone who's in a cult, looks up the word cult. The definition really doesn't make the red flags stand out enough.
It could be used as a bunch of people who like the same football team. For example.
If they have the definition of destructive cult, & what are the signs that it is destructive of the cult. That will show the red flags even more. At least what plant does seed.
Because if you're in a destructive cult. You know that you either see a protester saying " it's a cult" or a concerned family member telling you what you belong to is a "cult". Even if you dismiss them. I think they would be curious and look up the definition of it.
Just a thought, a theory.
Or maybe wishful thinking 🤔
Side note - just be careful, there are a lot of online scams. Where you would have to pay for courses. When in reality you can get the same information for free on RUclips. Nutrition, exercising, any kind of fitness. You just have to look for it. See what fits you the best.
The only reason I say this I may be wrong. There has been a major spike, in this kind of sales.
Where they pay the amount and then when they receive it, people look at it and say this is nothing new you can get this for free. Again do your own research this woman may be amazing. She might be worth the price.
What would a months pay in the sea org get you from one of her shops . A keyring?
OMG! Not even!!!
Have you or anyone you've talked to stepped back from all this and thought about how ridiculous the idea is of all this slang ect? it's all some stuff a guy made up. You have a conversation using all these terms that some random guy thought was cool. That's it. Some nutcase with bad teeth just made some stuff up and it becomes a culture for people. I don't mean to be flippant or rude. I don't mean it that way at all. I hope what I'm saying is coming across how I mean it. It's just so weird. All these terms mean nothing. They have a meaning inside the cult but in reality it;s just garbaldy guk.
