- We have discussed about best engine oils on this channel be it mineral engine oil, semi synthetic engine oil, fully synthetic engine oil for bikes and cars amongst different engine oil brands like Castrol, Motul, Liquimoly, Shell, Mobil etc but what if the oil you got turns out to be fake engine oil? A counterfeit engine oil? An engine oil made from cheap duplicate base! There have been cases of fake engine oil manufacturering where fake engine oils of big brands like Castrol, Mobil, Shell, Servo, Total, Elf etc were caught in engine oil distribution business. Fake engine oil business is a scamming business done to big profit margins by fooling people. Every Lubricant and engine oil manufacturer is facing cloning issues with their engine oil packaging design and oil companies are trying hard to come up with smart ways to differentiate original engine oils from duplicate engine oils. How to identify fake engine oil is big question and the bigger but easier task is to get it from a trustworthy source like authorized engine oil dealer who deals with the engine oil manufacturer and supplies genuine engine oils and lubricants to customers. Purchasing lubricants and engine oil from online websites can bring questions if the oil is genuine or not, so doubts and experience with online engine oil purchase has been discussed in this video.

Bro I had faced this issue. I purchased motul 7100 1.5 L bottle and since the oil change my bike was running very very rough and as soon as I changed back to bajaj engine oil it was way smoother and better. I don't know how to check the genuinity of such products but thanks for addressing this issue. Love you content ♥️

Flipkart delivered the fake castrol engine oil to me. Thankfully I returned after checking it.😮
When you buy any castrol engine oil, always see the hologram scan with phone and then match with the number on the cap if it match it's the original. But after use destroy that hologram sticker before throwing or recycling the bottle. Otherwise.

Don’t use engine flush on any vehicle that has been regularly serviced. But if you must for any reason, use LiquiMoly or Motul. Either is fine.
The flush you use are actually acidic and won't damage the engine initially.
If you want to flush your engine,do it with some mineral oil for every 2 or 3 service intervals , then drain it and fill synthetic oil, it's the best way to flush it.
Just run the bike for 4-6 kms in the mineral oil and then drain it.
I bet you, this would be way more effective than existing flush fluids in longer run, trust me and thank you..

Sridhar and Karthik have made some good suggestions. Regarding flush performance I would suggest you to get a flush dedicated for motorcycle engines. 3M has one which is light and made for use with every oil change while Liqui Moly has a 10000km recommendation.
Maybe you can try the Maxima Break-In Oil to flush the engine before pouring in new engine oil.
Unfortunately cloudtail wasn't as trustworthy for me. I got a fake bottle of Shell AX5 20w50 from cloudtail and I verified it was fake as oil could be seen boiling even after riding 3-4 km in January winters on my Pulsar 150. Better to get the oil offline only.
hey man, i got some damage to my clutch bell bush due to most probably fake engine oil i got from cloudtail. motul 7100 10w40. I spent 7k in repairs for the same

To post an update to my last comment, I went to the service station for a periodic maintenance, and guess what they put in my bike. A brand of oil named MPV or something. They had already put it in when I immediately raised it to the mechanic, and the supervisor that it is always Castrol that is put in. He took out a piece of document saying that the company has moved to Gulf Oil, when I said what nonsense brand is whatever they put in, and they assured me that it is better than Gulf! I said fu** that shit and get me either Castrol or Gulf. They agreed, drained the crap oil, and got Castrol from outside.

Bro, it happened with me..... Shell 10w 40 fully synthetic from Amazon. And the performance from the very first day was bad in just 75kms my engine oil has started to darken.
Did you but direct from Amazon or a reseller. It's best to buy direct or of you do buy from a 3rd party check their information if they're a large reputable distributor. If it's from random unknown people I personally avoid them.

Castrol kinda ruined my experience.. cannot find a dealer in delhi online... called castrol and specifically asked for motorcycle engine oil dealers/retailers yet the contacts they gave either dis not deal in motorcycle oils or did not have the power 1 ultimate :)

The packet grease also fake coming in a market. I bought motul Grease from local shop and it's absolutely fake. The packing look like a original it have bach code, manufacture date, MRP, even detail about Grease to make sure I checked on website motul never launch a packet greàse.

Hi Sir , I bought SHELL ADVANCE 4T 15w50 2.5 Ltr engine oil from Flipkart.
The product package date is printed as 12/2021.. but in the bottom the indicator shows 10/2021. So can there be a difference of couple of months in the packaging date ?
Also , the seal is silver foil type and not the white cardboard type material seal. So can you please suggest if the product is genuine or not ? As lot of reviewers are creating confusion proper suggestion is required .

Difference in couple of months is absolutely normal. If I remember correctly then both Advance AX7 and Advance ultra come with a foil seal so you can be assured about that.

Answer to your problem is to disconnect the battery terminal during the time of non usage ..

You can take your friends battery and place the terminal directly on your car's battery terminal, remember this is only for emergency situation,

Yes, you will always find authorized distributors and retailers in your city. Even fuel stations like BPCL (MAK), HPCL (HP lubricants), Shell, IOCL (Servo) etc are authorized to sell genuine oils.

You should actually bleed the entire brake line while filling it with new oil,I think you would need one more of it..

Sir I have classic 350 bullet purchased in December 2019. I purchased shell advance semi synthetic oil in January 15w 50 grade engine oil. After 2000 km engine knocking. I check engine oil level approx half lit oil will evaporate.
After I again order same engine oil and I service my bullet. Again same problem I face. Sir online oil purchase is also fraud. Please tell me trusted oil supplier in online.

I would suggest you to get a 20-50 fully synthetic from motul, my friend owns 500 and he said his bike is comparatively smoother and it's good, maybe you can try that.. don't let engine knock for longer periods, it would cause the cam timing damage.

When it comes to fully synthetic engine oils the 7100 is a popular choice amongst amongst NS 200 riders. 20W-50 is the recommended grade but you will find comments on this channel where quite a few NS200 riders are using 10W-50 grade premium fully synthetic oils from Liqui Moly and Motul successfully: amzn.to/2TXL0mq
