  • How to keep engine clean? Is flushing the engine safe? After how many km should engine flushing be done? Disadvantages of engine flushing? How to flush an engine? Engine flush quantity?Which is the best engine flush? and a lot more questions which we try to answer in this video.
This video is a basic tutorial on how to flush an engine. Here we have used the Dominar 400 and the same process is applicable to the most of the motorcycle engines from TVS, BAJAJ, HONDA, SUZUKI, HERO etc for flushing.
This time we have changed the engine oil on the Dominar 400 and have switched to Liqui Moly street race 10w50 grade fully synthetic engine oil.

I'd say treat the flushing with care as it might clog your oil galleries with deposits. In that case more harm done than good. Basis of a good engine life consists of frequent oil change interval, authentic oil and oil filter plus fuel treatment as it also acts as a solvent inside the combustion chamber.

Great video, your DIYs are on point and very helpful. I own a fzs v2 and ride it very less approx 1200-1500kms a year. The oil change interval recommended by manufacturer is around 2500-3000km so I change my engine oil at an interval of 1.5-2 years but I always keep an eye that it does not get low. Does engine oil degrade over time or is it ok to just change at manufacturer recommended kms irrespective of time.

The oil base is different on both these oils so a detailed comparison will be interesting, what say?
After using the 300V 10W-40 on the RTR 200 (I hope you have seen the Rajasthan ride series) we were tempted to try the 300V 15W-50 on the Dominar but we were concerned about changing the winter grade. My experience with Liqui Moly on my car was great so thought of giving it a try and the most important it was available in 10W50 fully synthetic grade so went for it (expensive than the 300V). For now the experience is good if not better then at least it's on par with the 7100 10W50, let's see how it performs on long term 😊

Not really, even if you use good quality oil the engine oil does break down and does form sludge, the issues do happen even with best oil.
Anti slude does indeed work, but yes this is no substitute for changing oil on time and using good filters.
This is just an add on maintenance thing for best results, it's not a thing you have to do during every oil change but you can do it once in 10 or 20 k kms

@@hiteshadhikari all good oils have anti sludge additives. They are called detergents they dissolve any sludge and suspend them in the oil.

No its not for new vehicles. For old vehicles might hurt because all the sludge and gunk which is preventing the oil to leak might break down with the engine flush. And your old vehicle will come out a white smoke from oil leak. And also depends on the engine flush you use. If you use cheap product of course it will hurt your engine.

A new subscriber!!! :) Loved this video... Did you refill exact 1.5L oil after draining to the Dominar or more ? If so, how much extra ? Please let me know since I am planning to switch to LiquiMoly or Motul on my Domi.

Hi, need some guidance please. I have a Dominar 400, my height is 5.6 feet. My lower back and wrists hurt when I drive for too long and the seating also feels uncomfortable and hence difficult to enjoy the ride. Can you give me some tips to make this better for longer rides? Your advice will be very helpful.

@The Sportztourer , thanks for all the videos. Is cloudtail delivering original lubes ordered from amazon? can you please make a video on " how is your experience on buying engine oils, flush, additives etc. from amazon or any other website you use regularly?"

    • @thesportztourer
      @thesportztourer  5 лет назад +1

      Hi Himalay,
Most of the products you see on this channel are purchased from Amazon. My experience with Cloudtail has been good and I try to leave the purchase links in the description. I have confirmed with Motul on Instagram that Amazon is their authorized reseller for 7100 and 300V (I believe for other oils as well).
Happy to know that you liked the videos, means a lot to me 😊

  • @vejekumar

    I have Thunderbird 350 bs3 model 2017.
I am changing oil for every 3000 km. Using liquid gun mineral oil (those days they have only mineral oil), now switched to semi synthetic oil liquid gun as company prescribed.
Please let me know which is the best oil synthetic or semi synthetic or mineral oil for Thunderbird 350 bs3. Also which brand is good. What about draining intervals? May i go with flush when I change the oil everytime?
