Just introduced to you gents, and your gear a few months ago. Waiting for a piece to be back in stock. Much respect for your honest approach to life and work! I’m an avid outdoorsman as well, I hunt, fish, paddle, and back country hiker with my high school sweetheart/wife. All of this I do to the best of my abilities since a spinal injury in the service. Excited to use your products, cheers-southwest Michigan!

Makes sense that Evan was in Software Engineering - all the stuff HPG makes are like modules and the attachment system is basically their API haha!

You guys are awesome! I have a lot of high end gear, but nothing compares to Hill People Gear. Thank you for your contributions to the industry. Kevin rules too. Top shelf customer service with knowledge on the other end of the line. Something that is becoming very rare.

I use my V2 multiple ways. Cattle meds & gear, IV, syringes, dextrose, dog choker chain is laced thru molle along with 7 ft of mule tape for tying feet or pulling calf. Exam goves, etc. Also for camping or my fav, walking the knolls along the coastal marsh examining the result of the Laurentide and Cordileran rapid melt of 11600 ya when n America was wiped clean of its megafauna and most of her people. Y'all make useful quality gear but i'm interested in knowing from an anthropological perspective, looking at the erosion patterns especially in the northwest, have you more questions today then say, 20 years ago as to what those people faced in those last few hours and days. What I see is scattered remnants, a debris field of a past world strewn about, ground to gravel or wind rowed into heaps. I even wonder how many resets there's been.

TexMex I couldn't agree more. It is difficult to walk across mountains, deserts, plains and costal areas and not wonder how many resets there have been due to natural catastrophe. This is definitely frightening to consider but the evidence is everywhere. In recent years there has been many discoveries that overturn the traditional orthodox view point. Two non conforming researchers that I've been reading for years are Graham Hancock and Randall Carlson. Graham's latest book America Before is an eye opener. Mr Carlson has found much evidence of large scale flooding on the American landscape that is difficult to comprehend the size and volume of.
It seems to me that all signs point towards a comet or comet fragments hitting the earth directly on the glacial ice caps that covered much of North America 12000 years ago. This would leave no evidence of a large scale extinction event crater and would also cause nearly unimaginable instantaneous flooding.
Just wanted to say, yes, same page my friend. It is difficult to imagine but if one spends a lot of time outdoors and actually observes the landscapes its hard to ignore the evidence
Oh yeah, Hill People Gear! Great video, I appreciate your perspective of creating gear and it seems the kit bag is exactly what I've been looking for.

Good video and thanks for the introductions. I purchased two Original Kit's (one for a friend) and a Runner's Kit...all great stuff and very happy with the purchases. These are used while hiking and are part of our modular pack "systems". Now looking at the Tool Roll for organization. Keep the gear coming and good luck to you and your company.

Hello guys! It's really good finding out the back story of what, to me, seems to be a great product, I don't personally own your product, I have experienced GI issued Alice and molle packs, kifaru duplex packs, mystery ranch nice frame packs and Eberlestock packs. What's your honest opinion of the above mentioned packs in carrying ability and relative comfort, modularity and overall functionality vs your own HPG packs?

What’s the connection between Hill People Gear and First Spear? I’m really curious about it and that’s the kind of info I couldn’t find yet.. BTW, I’ve just purchased the Taharumara pack and I’m really looking forward to using it right away. Cheers!

*I just stumbled upon their gear this week. I would like to see some more outside pockets on that chest pack or straps on backpack for really quick access. After all in emergency you see a low flight you might want to grab a flare and fire it off or grab your fire starter to get that signal fire going. Perhaps you need to grab a tourniquet. The possibility is endless. The selling point for me is always does it have what I need and want. I can limit my own gear/weight. I don't need a manufacturer limiting my gear/weight.*
