Rockin' content as always. I look forward to your videos. I like your philosophy of use for each of your items, and I keep getting new ideas of how to shape my kit.

Nice review. Thanks. One exception. I wouldn’t call the heavy recon an “upgrade”. I have both. They each serve a purpose and each have pros and cons depending on use case.

This video is 3 years old, but in a pinch you can shoot .40 s&w out of the glock 20/29. Heck, some people do it for cheaper range training. I wouldn't train with it but in a get home situation if that's all i could find so be it.

I am assuming that people watching your channel know about Hill People Gear. But if not go to their site. Great stuff. Good quality gear. And no, I am not getting paid to say this. :)

For bug out bag, should have gone with 9mm IMO. I'm looking at getting a 10mm pistol in the future for survival/hunting/hiking

What color names are both of these two bags shown in here in this video? Are they both the "foliage green" colorway?

Both are called Ranger Green on their website. But they offer many different colors aswell.

Check out the Zacchaeus from Dale Fricke Holster. I have one for my HK45C and one for my P365 Macro (each with a WML). It's the only minimalist solution I could find with support for a photon gun. While the lines aren't as sharp as I normally like to see on kydex, the function is flawless so far, and Dale is the only game in town with something like this.

Could you fit a holster with clips in the back compartment?

    • @PreparedAirman
      @PreparedAirman  4 года назад +1

Depending on the holster yes you can. i previously ran a gcode incog in that slot but realized its extra weight. If you want the trigger coverd get a trigger gaurd cover/holster. They work very well in this application.

PreparedAirman would you willing to measure the width of your holster and clips for me please. Just want to be sure that my holster can fit in there before I spend the money. It would help me out a lot.

    What are pace beads for?

    • @PreparedAirman
      @PreparedAirman  4 года назад +1

Pace beads are a way to count distance accurately while traveling by foot. Every 100m you will slide a bead down the cord. So if you have a destination that is 450m away you can accurately count the distance so incase you miss it you don't overshoot or pass by with out knowing.

Hey always liked your vids.made my own chest rig because of you,I’m sure it will evolve.live in England so the firearms thing doesn’t really apply.ref your holster problem with the suppressor could you maybe make a slot in the holster to allow for this or would it weaken the holster? Stay safe brother

Just had another thought, would a custom 3D printed holster be strong enough.plenty of guys on eBay could develop one for you.shouldnt be that expensive, maybe an option instead of potentially ruining a holster you’ve purchased

@@entltyq Long story, short version...I own a shop. I have one...I like it. I mean...its a fanny pack that goes on the chest.vanquest, Max and 5/11 have similar size ( or bigger) same quality bags ( materials/zippers and such) in a few cases you can get a fanny/front pack and EASY retrofit straps for front use(chest). TO be clear. I know you can get some garbage copies (chinesey) for 15-30 bucks...and a few really not so bad for 50.
Profit on these types of items Max /HPG mostly...is nearly criminal
Its like designer jeans..same as normal jeans but 3x the cost because of a silly name.
You can get decent LARGE backpacks for what this tiny thing costs.
As I have typed this much : I know a MFG that makes the highest quality bags and such (custom)
I asked them what this bag SHOULD cost.
Even making just 50 ( gets much less with bulk) with slightly better materials
They said "This could and would normally be sold to the public for 50-75$ max..depending how greedy the seller is
same quality stuff like this is all over
      www.511tactical.com/catalog/product/view/id/233229/s/lv6/?queryID=f91182a12cc3aca131403ecdeb497892&objectID=233229&indexName=magento2_productiondefault_products
easy to retrofit a front chest strap ( and low cost..a few bucks)
I asked Max and vanquest and 5/11 why they dont make a "chest rig like HPG"
All 3 said (literally) Not sure..we really should..2 said "easy enough to retrofit some straps to do so.
**Edit 5 mins later :I checked the net for 2-3 mins..found 7 bags of similar size and quality (no junk) for 28-just under 50 bucks...strap system for 3-9 bucks.....this is with no effort mind you.
Again, I LOVE my HPG bag..a lot
      Would I buy one again...no
I could get similar or better ( also a bit bigger) for well under 1/2 the cost
      Price on these are INSANE
      Semper Fi
      Gunny
**Also odd that 99% of the time....you cant even get in in black.
What Tac gear has NO black option...made by ANYONE ?
