Hi Linda, I have a Secura Electric Pressure cooker. My Rice setting is programmed for 12 min. minimum and I knew that would be too long for boiled eggs so I put it on the regular Pressure Cooker setting for 5 min. I used 12 eggs & It worked perfectly!! No gray rings and the yolk was soft & delicious. Better than any boiled egg I've ever tried. I think it's even better because I got my eggs fresh from the farmers market. Thank you so much for being the first to try new things.... and then passing what you have learned on to your fans....like ME!! I am sure everyone like me REALLY appreciates you doing the hard work & the worry out of it so we can feel confident enough to try it to...especially when it comes to pressure cooking!! Thanks Again!!
Pressure cookers absolutely rock! They save time, energy and they don't heat up your house. So much heat/energy is lost when you boil water on your oven surface, and this also goes for heat/energy in an oven..as well.
Thank you Miss Linda! I did it for the first time today and they were PERFECT! I can't believe how easy fresh eggs were to peel...GAME CHANGER! =) I hope y'all had a safe trip & that Buddy fits right in. I bet he's going to be JD's new best friend! ♡♡♡ Praying for y'all. =)
Bless you! This was the first thing I cooked in my new PPCXL today after I bought it yesterday at Costco. I LOVE boiled eggs but had been reduced to buying the pre-boiled/pre-peeled ones because I am so terrible at both boiling and peeling! But after following your instructions today, I just peeled and ate the perfect egg!! I can't believe how easy it peeled and how perfectly cooked it was. Thank you!!!!!!!
I LOVE my pressure cooker! Got it last year and have made ribs, hard boiled eggs, steamed butternut squash and made soup to name a few, THANK YOU for the video!! :D
OH MY GOSH,,,,,The eggs turned out so perfect, I followed your instructions, and they are Amazing ! so tender, and the yolk isn't grey., and they peeled soooo easily,,,,JUST WOW !! Now I've got a cottage ham in the cooker,,,this thing is just way to fun lmao
I purchased this because of your video. I'm about to try doing my hard boiled eggs like this. What an awesome kitchen tool. Can you please do more videos with this?
Wow...I have a Wolfgang Puck Pressure Cooker that I use all the time. I never thought about doing hard boiled eggs..I will give it a try. Thanks Linda!!
I'm excited to know about this! We eat hard boiled eggs all the time and my main gripe is the peeling! I'm hoping to see more recipes using the power pressure cooker XL! I just found you on RUclips today and have watched several videos and I love the way you do it. I'm going to try the canning feature, too. Just more Power Pressure Cooker XL videos please! And thank you!
Cracked me up no pun intended. My first attempt to cook eggs in my cooker....processing is done opened the lid and peeked in. One of those eggs kicked off its shell, all it had was the top 1/8 of its point on. It must happened during the pressure release. How funny! So excited the eggs were perfectly cooked!!!
I believe that your instructional videos should rank very high. They are excellent. Regarding your six-minute eggs recipe: Is there a difference between using room-temperature eggs and refrigerated eggs?
Hope you do more canning in that pro cooker, mine is on the way, I like to do small batches of canning as it is just me, I think it would be great for short term storage or jams
I love this video Linda! Got my PPC XL Pro earlier this week, but haven't used it yet. Even though I ordered the accessory pack, I did not receive the wire rack; I've emailed PPC Customer Care. Question though; how do you store your peeled HB eggs in the fridge? Ziplock bag, sealed container, or an open bowl? Just love your vids, and can't wait for the next one! MJ
Have you tried seasoning the water to see if it will infuse them with flavor? I'm about to go cook a dozen now, I hate peeling boiled eggs! I'm gonna throw in a bunch of cardamom pods...
+Josef Roesler Ok, is this witchcraft? I just peeled a dozen fresh eggs in about 5 minutes without destroying a single one. I usually get maybe 3 intact eggs by boiling. The cardamom didn't even flavor the one that peeled itself in the pot, so that part didn't work, but the 6 minute egg is the bomb!
Thanks for showing how to use this thing. I was given one by a friend, so sweet of them. I just did not get a book to go with it, and can not find one on the Internet. Please keep doing more. Thanks
Do you know what the difference of the regular cooker and the pro one is besides the price? I been thinking of buying one since I do a little canning and love the roasts done in them. I have a huge old school one but to big for just myself.
I wonder how you would do just a small amount of rice (1 to 1.5 C ) with this cooker? and you put rice and water a pot in with no lid and do it that way and then put water in the bottom of the pressure cooker?
for near POACHED quality, try cooking eggs with 2 large eggs (like a trial) , "1/2" cup water, start timer when bobber starts floating, @ one minute and 38 seconds quick release steam, quickly remove eggs from cooker, slightly crack eggs with rolling motion @ both ends then around the body,. quickly drop into about 2 cups of cool water for 30 to 60 seconds Eggs will shell cleanly, actual pressure cooker water use is about 1/4 cup with about 1/4 cup remaining in cooker, the small amount of water will keep total time to a minimum,. This will produce a almost totally liquid yolk only slightly warm. The pressure time may be reduced but the risk of losing the liquid yolk and a partial liquid white also becomes much greater because little strength of harder white to support the whole egg. regards,
Speaking of Eggs..is everybody aware of the Egg issue in the USA right now? H E B Grocery..one of the largest grocers, just posted a Egg Limit notice at it's grocery stores. Limit is 3 cartons per customer. Prices are at $3.79/1 dozen at some places. www.expressnews.com/business/local/article/H-E-B-rationing-eggs-6308013.phpTIP: I buy fresh whole eggs then crack them in to a plastic bag in groups of 4 or 6.Mark and date the bag. Those bags are placed in to a 2nd FREEZER style bag. and then into the freezer. They will keep for about 3 months. When I take them out, I use them for baking or scrambling, I don't try to make a sunny side up egg. The flavor is still very good. I'd also recommend having some powdered eggs on hand for baking.Even better would be to have your very own laying hens, but for most of us, that's not an option.
Wow! $100 to hard boil eggs? This might be a nice pressure cooker, but $100 is a pretty penny. Linda, I'm just guessing yours was a gift from the manufacturer
***** No. I'm sure the product was gifted. This video was simply an advertisement for an overpriced pressure cooker. This is RUclips. If you're doing an infomercial say so. Linda isn't the only channel that does this.
A "BIG" thumbs up Linda :) Speaking of eggs I did the Raw Egg Challenge because of Jim @ TosTinMan EasyCooking and Russ @ Smokes A Rollin', check it out as I did real good :) You can find it on my channel. Have a great Sunday :) ROCK ON!!!!!!
I also wanted to say that I followed this technique this morning and it is SPOT ON! The eggs were PERFECT! Thank you, Linda!

TY
Have you tried baking
Bravo thx
does the time start when the weight rocks?
How do you set the time on poer xl for eggs??
for how long do you cook the eggs
Is your cooker the 8 quart?
Make sure your eggs are at room temperature BEFORE placing them in the COLD tap water that you added to the pot. This keeps them from cracking
very cool - Ruthie

Rice & Risotto which is 6 minutes. She does it at 1:00

Tap them a couple times on the counter and the shell falls off 😁

You did not show what button you used
These are the easiest way to get hard boiled eggs.
And easiest to peel besides.
just watched this to make sure the name is not Lynda's Panty.😂😂😂
QUESTION: why would you not pierce the end of the egg??
