Liquid molecules are further apart therefore a liter of water is technically more than a liter of lettuce whose molecules are more densely packed making it way more. Liquid measuring cups indicate that 1 cup = 8 ounces. But what they really mean is 1 cup of liquid = 8 fluid ounces. For dry measurements, the rules change. Because dry ingredients vary greatly in weight, you can’t rely on the same conversion. For example, 1 cup of all-purpose flour weighs 4.5 ounces, not 8 ounces. On the other hand, 1 cup of chocolate chips weighs a little over 6 ounces.
I prefer running lettuce. Its less upkeep because it doesn't fill up the storage every year and less pallets to haul but earns the same income as strawberries or tomatoes.
Looks like the production rate for greenhouses was updated, they don't produce nearly that much any more. Any comments on the updated production rates?
Question - did you get the supplemental water tanks to work? I installed them near my Large Greenhouse buildings, but the capacity was still maxed at 20 000L capacity. The additional watertanks didn't seem to have any effect at all on max capacity.
What's the best way for a started farm to get these to the market, throw them in the back of the pickup! Or use a tractor with some sort of trailer (sorry, total noob just starting out here).
I added water tanks near my houses but it did not add to their capacity, I did some testing, I used big one then added like 10 containers, didn't work with 1-10, never added anything.
I wonder if we might get "The Big Bag Lifter" from FS19 makes it easier for me to lift pallets, I was a Fork Truck driver instructor many years back, yet can't manage the ones in FS, lol

It means you have to many pallets on the map. Im assumimg you play on console which has a specific limit to the pallets you can have at one time spawned on a map, the message will go away when you get rid of or sell some of your pallets off

There’s a great plot of land along the creek (free close water) that’ll fit about 12 greenhouses just south of field 11 that’s about 140k. Fantastic income even with the 40% fee!

At first I was loading my pickup and small reefer trailer to the max with tomato pallets, then driving to sell point just across the street and selling. I was cashing out some good revenue like that. Another advantage to using storing output, you can wait and sell at high prices. But...if you are busy or overloaded and no where to store, then output needs to go to sell. Last, if i understand correctly, distributing don't make pallets or sell, it just kind of stores them?
Since this video came out it is now too heavy to lift by hand. Install the liftable pallets pack by Jos and all pallets produced after that is installed will be liftable
Can you have an AI truck pick up the produce and deliver it? Or do you have to load your own vehicle? If you have to load your own what is a good trailer for moving these pallets?
I don't think my ears hear at the same speed as you talk, so if you said this, please forgive. If you store lettuce and tomatoes until February, when their price is highest, does it go bad setting outside the greenhouse? (Asking because lettuce goes bad in 45 seconds setting in my kitchen😂)

The extension tank is not working for me. In normal each greenhouse will hold 20000litres of water the water tank extention is of 5000litres,so in total it should hold 25000litres but it is not that.it is only holding 20000litres as before. Can anyone tell me what am i doing wrong?

Just one question, if you want to keep your, lets say, tomatoes because the price is not good enought yet, maybe you first want to sell them after lets say 5 months because of the price - how do you then store them? Maybe its not an option to store them and you always have to sell them immidiately (I have no idea if they will go bad over time anyway)...........
You can simply take the merchandise with your hands, and place it in another location, outside of the merchandise outcome zone, until you want to sell it. That's what I did and I sold everything in February, made good money
I've recently started doing greenhouses. Can anyone tell me why my pallets only fill half way before they go onto starting a new pallet. I have an entire pickup area of half filled pallets.
Looking at it now there is something wrong with my grenhouse. currently says I do about 1500 cycles per hour for 0 water and provides 2 strawberries. no idea what happened.
Looking forward to mods that have more options than this base-game stuff. Just water? No seeds or manure/fertilizer? Not sure what they were thinking about this one...seems like not much thought went into these greenhouses. Glad I still have FS19 until this game matures...or should I say until modders finish it for us. The maps are great to look at...but only 3...I guess that is customary for FS? But these base-game maps are just too small and buildings seem to be an afterthought...or just eye candy. Don't get me wrong...I see the potential...there are some great things added in the base-game...but 'base' is the key word here...
I have three large greenhouses each take 20,000L of water, I've also placed down 18 water supplement tanks Next to them that should add 90,000L of water l but it's not showing, Note I started playin' the game before the day 1 patch (Basic PS4).

If using the 5,000L supplement tanks, can you use more than one per greenhouse? Like putting 2 next to a greenhouse giving it a 10,000L "reserve"?

Those are both viable easy ways to transport these items :)

The water tanks are buy points for water, not storage. It charges you money when you load from them.

Its supposed to add more water capacity but it seems to potentially not be working as of right now

Try forcing them out with a front loader but it may not work

Yep distributing just stores them IF they have no other production building to go to

No, you bave it set to selling, if its set to selling it sells the products, on storing you will have pallets spawn

Purchase a low loader trailer and haul them with a truck to haul more at a time.

You have to load pallets manually

You dont have to but it is a good idea, and they can be placed on a field, it will destroy that portion of the field though

You should be able to do that but it would only cut down the drive time, you would still need a trailer to move it

Distributing sends them to other productions if available. Selling is what sells the automatically for a 40% fee

Try selling them and replacing them, and i know you mentioned it but make sure they are on storing

You have reached theimit of pallets you can have on a map on console so you will need to sell some

It does not require seed and fertilizer UNLESS you have a mod installed or are using a modded greenhouse
