recommend placing a hose clamp (#40) on washer tub to hold the tub seal in place. Go to all that work and if you don't install a hose clamp - the seal can come loose and water runs all over tranny and bearing and you end up with complete re-do of all your work.
Sir, you saved me so much F’n headache!! Thank you!!! I had to order a 1&11/16 impact deep socket to get the nut loose. Very corroded. I could turn the transmission with an long ratchet but the actual motor won’t turn it. Not quite a seized transmission, is there something wrong with the brake?
You have the best simple videos that gets to the point on fixing washers and I thank you for that . But have a question my washer messed up and I have a GE WASHER that I put a lot of clothes inside and now it won’t spin at all i don’t know could be wrong or what I messed up

La verdad es que no trabajo con esas lavadoras ya que son electronicas y no se nada de ellas. Balla a you tube y ponga el modelo de su lavadora a ver si encuentra algo que lo ayude angel
If you have to get a new transmission for this machine, in my opinion is better to get another washer. I never replace a transmission for my customers because the expense is more than what the washer is worth. I made the video to show how it is done in case someone has 2 GE washers and want to use the transmission one washer to fix the other washer. Thanks for watching my videos
The washers and dryer that they make now are design to last just a few years. and you need to be an electronic expert to be able to diagnose the problems.
