Lightning Rod, Twisted Colossus and Iron Gwazi are all very different experiences. And that's not even to mention how different the Raptors are.
If I was a horse and the entire earth got hit by a meteor and everybody was dead, WHAT COASTER WOULD GO TO SIX FLAGS
@@tavi3850B&M floorless
I’ve ridden 5 RMCs (Lightning Rod, Steel Vengeance, Twisted Timbers, Goliath, and Twisted Colossus), and they aren’t getting stale by the slightest! I want to keep riding more! It’s crazy how RMC’s worst coaster is STILL considered a top-tier ride in the world. No other manufacturer can say that.
ive been on
Lightning Rod
Storm Chaser
Iron Rattler
WWGLC (front row tho)
New Texas Giant
Outlaw Run
I would not say any of these feel the same. None of the drops feel the same. Lightning Rods quad down is not even my favorite element. Its those two twist and shouts and the step up into the quad down. New texas giant has my favorite first drop on a coaster besides time traveler but that doesnt count.
Lucky my country doesn’t have any rmcs😢
same
These rides are not stale at all. I’m glad that someone finally said something.
It feels like a lot of enthusiasts miss that while it may be stale to them (as they have probably ridden many of them). Most people have probably only ridden one if a park close to them has one. It makes sense to the park because these coasters look and ride unique to other rides and will draw in GP who just want to try something new. At the end of day at least they are different and not just the exact same ride like all the batman clones.
This lol. Haven’t ridden a single one. There’s only 3 in the whole of Europe. Can’t imagine having ridden so many, so many times that they become stale! xD they def draw in crowds to the parks that’s for sure.
Hey like the Batman clones are still good. It’s just worthless to go to another park to ride another one.
I've ridden 14 RMC's. 2 of them being Raptor's. While I do see that *some* elements appear on multiple RMC's, overall their rides are vastly different form each other. Compared to something like the 18 B&M Inverts I've ridden that are for the most part the same elements in a different order.
Well something to keep in mind is that most enthusiasts who are saying this have been all over the world riding RMCs. The rmcs are similar enough that you dont get that excited when a new one comes out since its really nothing new or special. For the GP or the average coaster enjoyer (who doesnt travel around too much) all they want is an RMC near to them.
As someone from the UK thats only ridden 3 RMCs, i wish there were way more haha
Rmc is arguably one of the best coaster companies ever, they’re constantly innovating, producing high quality, and world class rides with insane elements, and honestly really cool track, train, and over all designs, although people may say rmc is repetitive or “stale” they continue to offer great thrills, and a different experience between each coaster( it’s my favorite company i might be biased)
As you mention in the video I would argue its the opposite. Compered to other models its the most diverse. The early models like iron rattler feel very different from the modern models like iron gwazi and arie force. I also expect them to continue feeling different with Alan Schilke retiring and Joe Draves picking up the design. I can already feel the slight differences through arie force one.
I feel like even among the modern RMCs there is definitely enough variation. those examples that you named alone seem totally different and that's going for most RMCs.
I don’t get why people say that joker is an inversion-based RMC when it has 3 inversions, which is pretty standard for an RMC.
It's also pretty short, and there aren't really a lot of stand out elements otherwise so the inversions kind of draw the attention. Anyway, it's the best coaster in the park, whatever it is.
probably because it's smaller
after riding arieforce one I can confirm that RMC's are in fact NOT getting stale, Arieforce is the single most intense Ibox coaster imo
**Zadra exists**
Zadra, iron gwazi, and wicked cyclone when warmed up are more intense
@@WCfanboy Iron Gwazi is my number one, i'm not saying it's not intense, I'm just saying ArieForce is more so. It is HARD to marathon ArieForce because it's just so draining. Zadra maybe, I'm from the U.S. and haven't ridden so I don't know. Zadra seems more pacing based than intensity based(i've actually heard that the airtime is weaker on Zadra than other RMC's.) I'm not gonna count your opinion on WC because your name is literally WC fanboy. Have you ridden ArieForce?
@@-Tim- I mean yes it does. I haven't ridden it but I am almost certain that ArieForce would still be more intense. I've heard testimonials from people who have ridden both and they also agree that ArieForce is more intense than every other RMC. I got 11 rides on it but it very draining. Arieforce pulls the highest positive force of any RMC and the 3 highest negative force on an RMC 5 TIMES IN A ROW. have you ridden both ArieForce and Zadra?
@@Fluffy_Coasters haven’t ridden arieforce but iron gwazi, and especially zadra have stronger Gs, and wicked cyclone and iron gwazi especially have stronger air when warmed up via rideforces
I’ve ridden Iron Rattler about a hundred times now and honestly it’s amazing every time, I can understand the sentiment but I will always look forward to riding a RMC.
I would like to see a vertical loop or inline twist on an RMC, would be interesting
RMC's are an incredible feat of engineering. I'm enjoying the coaster war that is trending since their advent. I just hope Great Adventure installs a RMC hybrid sometime in my lifetime.
Coastoons: “the blitz is the most versatile coaster model”
Gerstlauer infinity’s: allow us to introduce ourselves
Not to mention, it doesn’t even matter if RMCs across the bird are similar, mainly because the GP and many enthusiasts aren’t able to travel out to ride these different roller coasters, and many people have never even seen an RMC before, I know this for a fact because when Wildcat’s Revenge was announced for Hersheypark, people in the state were mind boggled about the fact that they could turn Wildcat into a gigantic rollercoaster. No matter what, the enthusiasts take up a very slim part of the average guests at amusement parks, so a couple thinking the rides are “stale” means absolutely nothing to the park
I'm sure most international coaster enthusiasts would almost want the same "issue" we're having with having so many RMCs in the USA, because i've seen comments from people saying they'd love an RMC in their country. Similar, i was excited to hear that there's two RMCs near my internship and of course the other rides at SFOG, because otherwise i wouldn't have money to try out those coaster
They're flipping good rides, just wish we had one in the UK
Same it sucks. I think we have some really good coasters but I would love to see/ride one of these. I just dunno how feasible it is for most parks here, especially space wise.
@@duskh4ze I agree, space is an issue, personally I think the most likely park to get one is Flamingo Land
@@Stubwood_on_YT I kinda feel like a single rail would fit in with their vibe. A ground up hybrid would be soo expensive for a smaller park. But then again, Kolmården did it with Wildfire didn’t they, they also happen to be a zoo park. I guess they had more space. But it’s possibly doable at FL. Can’t see Alton Towers doing it cause of the height restrictions, Thorpe possibly but it would be years away with them doing Exodus rn. I’m sure we will get one eventually!
As someone who lives in the UK, I'm not bored of RMCs because THERE AREN'T ANY IN ENGLAND :|
Great Video. I really have respect for the way you script & edit. Ur one of my fave coaster youtubers!
2:13 notice the ones that were not mentioned. The big ones not mentioned are wildcats revenge, wicked cyclone, etc. these make me understand the argument that they all feel the same. While I still don’t agree, some of them do feel remarkably similar.
Absolutely not stale. 100% agree.
Rode Arie Force One last week. They are absolutely not getting stale. They have only gotten better and better.
tbh I don't even really care about roller coasters, you're just really fun to watch
I love having 2 rmc’s at fiesta Texas. They’re both so different from each other but they’re both amazing. I used to work at fiesta Texas and would test ride Wonder Woman everyday; upwards of 150 times, maybe more and it’s still amazing. I’ve never thought it was stale
Not a fan of Wonder Woman at Fiesta. Too jerky and feels like headbanging on metal. Raptor model just doesn't do it for me.
Iron Rattler on the other hand... amazing first drop and last drop through the tunnel, especially the further back you are on the train.
The very question is something that could only be asked within an obsessive fan subculture.
I have a question where do you get your video clips from?
I have ridden several and they remain, hands down, some of my absolute favorite rides
RMC is pretty diverse if you ask me… especially when compared to companies like B&M.
Fantastic video. Way to go man.
Thoosies will literally marathon a ride then be like, “that was repetitive after a while”
Yet again another banger from coastoons
Rmc changed the way coasters are designed, I will forevor be grateful for them bringing the death of the vertical loop.
There are 5 RMC's outside of the USA, not 4: Medusa Steel Coaster, Untamed, Zadra, Wildfire, Hakugei. Also Walibi Holland is building a dueling raptor in 2025 so that's 6.
I love the vid keep it up!!!
even IF they were getting stale, they are still just so good it doesnt matter
Stale wth how that’s crazy there’s people out there saying that keep up the good work
I don't think they are stale at all, wish we had them in Japan..I will say it is nice that they give life to new Woodies that otherwise would have been torn down. The one type of coaster that is getting stale despite being a new model are Pantheon and it's clones.
I've ridden three different RMCs, and each three were very different. Iron Gwazi, ArieForce One, and Twisted Cyclone. All are fantastic rides
"There are only four international and they're all in different countries."
Ah yes, the ground here is made of ground
There's only 1 RMC I felt a little repetitiveness on, and that's Steel Vengeance. The ending with all those bunny hills is my biggest gripe on that ride. To me it felt like a cheap way to throw as much airtime as possible into the ride, except I didn't feel any airtime. Just pain from being violently flung forward and backwards against that restraint over and over in rapid succession. Otherwise, it does have some unique elements in the first half, but that's about the only positive I can give to SteVe given my experience with it.
You'd feel the same about ArieForce One's ending, cuz it's 6 airtime hills consecutively before you slam into the brakes
I’ve ridden only 1 rmc and that’s untamed it’s a fantastic ride especially in the evening! I’m glad that they open 2 raptors in 2025!
+minor argument but Untamed is an RMC that doesnt really even have big airtime hills, though its still airtime hills. Really, it only goes high up for inversions and banks, the airtime hills are quite low but still pack a punch. Its pretty unique actually
If you're one of these guys who's ridden everything in the country I'm sure at some point everything gets stale. But for most folks, even people who really like coasters, they're only going to realistically make it out to so many parks and ride so many rides. That's why B&M can make so many clones and most people don't even really realize that's what's happening. Anyway I'm at six and I gotta say every coaster that has swung a decision to visit park X instead of park Y has been made by RMC or Intamin. With kind of an honorable mention to Vekoma for Tron and Guardians Rewind because I really liked those but the kids picked those two parks as the two Disney parks we went to in April but for totally different reasons.
I do not care if they feel the same. (Which they really don’t)
They all feel freaking awesome.
Twisted colossus gotta start dueling or ima cry
I think MM has basically given up on that.
Twisted timbers also has that inversion based drop which is cool i guess
Trying to argue that RMC is getting stale is redundant especially considering how many other models were built by B&M which were literally clones. What clones have we seen of a RMC that isnt a Raptor?
I can see what they're saying because I feel the same about all B&Ms I've ridden outside of early inverts and variants. I don't even know how enthusiasts rank them, they all feel the same to me across all models. (Yes I don't see a difference between a wing, dive, hyper, etc etc. All the same to me) I like RMCs and personally don't feel they're stale but I think it could have to do with the order someone rides them. If someone rides Iron Gwazi or SteVe first then rides Texas Giant they'll probably not be that impressed. Nonetheless I love them and hope they keep building them!
They essentially don't make you work as hard to get the goods. Getting to a park with 1 RMC and couple other good coasters is satisfying and complete.
At the same time, it seemed that Schilke did hold back from putting every signature element on any one ride. For example SV doesn't have a large wave turn. But a lot of that is limited momentum, you've got to choose a priority.
Wildcat's R looks to avoid the bucking bronco effect, perhaps in answer to criticisms, while Arie doubles down on it.
Short answer? No. Long answer? Nooooooooooo.
Definately not getting stale. I was thinking the opposite; they might be getting to be too much. I've only been on a handful of RMCs , Outlaw Run, Twisted Timbers, Twisted Cyclone, Iron Gwazi , and ArieForce One. As a regular coaster fan, I'd say, Iron Gwazi is on the cusp of being too intense. And I'd say ArieForce One might be too intense for the regular person who is a coaster fan, but not a Coaster Enthusiast. I could ride Outlaw Run three or four times in a row (and I did!) But I had the option to ride ArieForce One a second time for free, and I felt It would not be a good idea. I think it might be running too fast, at the moment, and it might be toned down in the future, so ride it now !
That said, while I think Outlaw Run , Twisted Timbers, and Twisted Cyclone have it dialed in just about perfect in terms of elements and pacing, if all RMCs were like those, then, yeah, they would be "stale", but most people aren't going to a dozen different parks a year, and will usually only go to the one or two that's closest to them, so aren't going to care if a similar ride exists 500 miles away
The other day i did a night ride on AF1, and oh my did that end feel like a car crash or something like that 🤣I was also in the last row, so at least i was able to brace for the brake run
They need to release the t-Rex model already so they can compete with B&M and intamin and they need to make a stand out ride that’s over 300ft, it’s getting pretty repetitive with the 200 ft RMCs even tho all of them are world class rides it’s time for them to meet a new height threshold.
I ride lighting rod for the first time today and I’m now an rmc fanatic
Is there gonna be a ultimate review of KD
Fun fact Wildfire in sweden is the tallest wooden coaster
Couldn’t agree more
Meanwhile I'm just jamming to space cadet 😂
Finally glad to have found a coaster channel that is rightfully critical of B&M. I swear they innovated once like 30 years ago and have been copying and pasting elements ever since.
While I doubt it will happen, I’d still like to see an I-Box break the inversion record. I feel like RMC inversions make you less dizzy/nauseous than other coasters, so it would be much more rideable than Smiler.
Yes
You also have to keep in mind, all RMCs are designed by Alan Schilke, so of course there will be some notable similarities.
The two most recent ones weren't designed by Alan, as i think he retired
I really wish Blackpool pleasure beach in the UK would rmc the grand national or the big dipper but since both are now classed as grade 2 listed buildings it will never happen.
I don't think RMC will get stale for a while but we should stop expecting record breaking mega coasters as they slowly become more like B&M still make great rides that are unique but no longer the greatest in the world.
i think just for something like RMC the ibox is mostly what they do. But for something like B&M the dive coasters are stale but we dont really care because B&M has other models but for RMC they are mostly hybrids.
what they have is excellent and versatile, but that single flagship can only take them so far. they need something else to go alongside the i-box and topper track. gonna just throw out some ideas.
t-rex: it’s probably a dead concept, but in the case that it’s just been postponed, it might be time to bring it back to the drawing board.
hybrid invert: bit of a wacky one, and probably wouldn’t be feasible, but imagine the foot choppers and g-forces. it would be insane. if it were possible, which i still doubt it is, it could be absolutely amazing.
family coasters: the high intensity of all rmcs could turn off potential buyers, so having a small-scale i-box could give both a new experience and a new market share. it’s probably the smartest move business-wise. and before you lose your shit, i’m not saying build a kiddie coaster. i’m saying a gravity group style small but action-packed woodie. for a meme coaster, oscar’s wacky taxi is actually a good coaster, but imagine that same coaster with rmc’s glossy smooth track. it would be extremely enjoyable for young enthusiasts to get their first ride on.
I went to BGT last month andCheetah hunt was fire and I saw how it was your number 1
You always have to remember, the average park guest wont see more than 1 or maybe 2 RMCs in their whole life and they are what Parks make their money from. So even if they were all clones each and every single one would still be justified.
We are the
The day RMC gets stale is the day all roller coasters get stale
I think you don't really have a foundation to make the claim "rmc's are getting stale" if you haven't ridden almost all of them. Then if you have i would see your point but if you've only seen them many of the rmc's look like beasts
I've ridden 2 RMC rollercoasters Storm Chaser and Steel Vengeance and both are in my top 10. RMC coasters are amongst the best.
Ultimate review of magic mountain pls.
"im not doing an intro" while doing an intro
lmao clicked on this with "No Views" and "57 seconds ago"
I opened with “”no views”” and “”*58* seconds ago””
Sounds like some thoosies are getting spoiled. Even RMC's craziness isn't enough, and they can't be content with what they have.
they're always complaining. and i know they'd complain about Arieforce one, because of the ending of the ride is like almost too forceful. it's very fun but doesn't make the ride easily marathon-able
Facts
If you have a major RMC at your home park you are way more likely to say this IMO. Even Steel Vengeance gets stale after awhile.
I sometimes get the feeling that untamed (Walibi Holland) is forgotten. Like it’s not big and not in the states. And that’s a shame because it’s so great.
That is so true
The only thing I'm getting over are the little wacky humps they put everywhere I prefer big power elements
How are these stale!
well, we still only have 3 of them in europe, and only 1 in asia so yeah maybe in the american market but the rest of the world has barely seen these rides
I have never ridden an rmc 😢
YOU ARE THE BEST RUclipsR EVER
“There are two parks with two RMCs”
Great adventure 👀
What two? SFGA only has jersey devil. The joker is built by S&S, yes RMC track. But not the same.
@@theruleoffire no I’m talking about B&M
RMC is at the top of the coaster game. Even compared to huge coasters a small RMC like a raptor is more thrilling and I wound rate one way higher in his much I would want to ride it again.
RMC... (I've only been on one lol)...
Well I've been on none so that's better than me.
What's the last ride Alan Schilke worked on before he retired? Does RMC have a new superstar desiner to replace him?
I think it was Iron Gwazi. Their current guy is Joe Draves, the designer of Lightning Run, Steel Curtain and Maxx Force--I think Arie Force One is his first RMC, so he seems to be hitting the ground running.
Joe Dravis, and yeah as the other guy said he designed ArieForce and Wildcat's revenge
They are too s mooth and awesome for me to get bored l.
Wr do see a lot of the same elements but how they utilities them makes it even more interesting
I'm dying to find a raptor btw
I think every park could benefit from having at least 2. Most already have 2 or more intamin or b n m
I've ridden 4 RMCs (Twisted Colossus, Wonder Woman SFMM, Steel Vengeance, and Stunt Pilot), and they are anything BUT stale
I think I'm one of the only thoosies that literally doesn't give a crap if a ride is a clone or not, like if it's a fun ride, it's a fun ride. nuf said.
I've never been on one so they're not stale to me. Even though Gwazi is in my home state.
Stale is a strong word used by negative folks looking for things to criticize. A lot of us enthusiasts can be nitpicking prima donnas.
A good model is one that consistently provides a solid ride experience. A great model is one that consistently provides a solid ride experience, designed by folks clearly trying to give each installation its own identity through just its layout.
Elements do feel similar that's just a fact for I box. Small raptors are super aggressive in the back row but have terrible restraints. I box restraints are not good either. B&M and the newer intamins have way better restraints
Just rode ArieForce One and Twisted Cyclone in the same day, they both feel different.
Agreed, just wished six flags was opened later so i could get a true night ride on TC. night rides on AF1 go insane
Why are you so good?
Yeah I’m not ready… I live in Singapore and Cylon isn’t intense at all compared to anything I’m the world
On the face of it RMCs aren't stale, at least no more stale than any other coaster model with so many installations. However one thing that really is getting stale, at least for me, are the restraints. The raptor restraints I think are actually pretty good but the hybrid restraints REALLY need some changes. Intamin has RMC completely beat in the restraint department, they saw that their blitz restraints weren't that popular (and tbh the ones with the soft straps aren't even that bad imo) but nonetheless they innovated and have this near flawless restraints with their new launch coasters like VelociCoaster and Pantheon. RMC hasn't changed their hybrid restraints since 2013, almost 10 years. The restraints are ridiculously heavy thus hard to raise, a complete nightmare for parks when you have seat belts, and those shin guards absolutely punish tall people. It sucks because everything else about the hybrid coasters are great, just those restraints stick out like a sore thumb.
I do find their older hybrid restraints are tighter than their newer ones, but yeah they still suck. Kinda makes me wonder how the rest of their rides would be like with Gerstlauder trains, like on New Texas Giant and Iron Rattler
Please make a video on ariforce 1 and fun spot as a business!!!!
When you constantly produce something great people get used to it and expect it
After while people get comfortable with it and this causes boredom even if it's exceptional
they better come to the european west lol
These rides cannot possibly be stale. A roller coaster cannot get boring, because it still exerts the same forces on your body, whether you have rode it 1000 time or 1 time. You may expect the layout, but it doesn't get *boring* .
