    Before I switched to a custom loop I had Arctic eSports 34 Duo on a 12700k and while the BioniX P12 fans are great, the heatsink itself wasn't very good. I transferred to the Arctic 34 Duo heatsink to an older build and decide to take a chance on the PA120 (SE edition though, which has even slightly smaller heatsink than non-SE), and the temps were sooo much better, I could finally overclock the 12700k a bit. I did however keep the Bionix P12 on the Thermalright cooler because they're better but the heatsink itself is very good for such a budget cooler! I'm assembling my custom water loop now but if I ever would need to go air I'd probably go straight to one of the cheap costing Thermalright coolers.

      Hello Ben, welcome to my channel, thank you for the feedback. this is also the reason why I am revisiting some budget range Air Cooler. You are absolutely right. It's mind blowing how well the heatsink are for Thermalright. I am impress with this air cooler, it looks super sleek and the temperature is extremely good when I replace these default fans to the Gentle Typhoon. once again thank you for visiting and to leave your valuable feedback, greatly appreciated it.

    • @Ben-ld1qi
      @Ben-ld1qi 2 года назад +1

      @@KleoYan I got the PA120 SE on discount for $37.5, it's almost all fully black, and the heatsink itself is just a tiny bit smaller, so in theory the PA120 (not SE) should be theoretically better and subjectively slightly better looking since it's fully black. The stock fans though are alright but nothing exceptional, I had better temps when replacing them with the regular Arctic P12s, and then replaced the Arctic P12s with the Arctic BioniX P12s which improved the temps even a bit more. If those Thermalright 120mm CPU coolers came with excellent budget fans like the Arctic P12s it would be such a killer combo, insane value! P.S. thanks for the welcome but I already subscribed like almost a year ago lul :P

    I was annoyed to hear GamersNexus announce in the US and having checked, here in AU too, that the Assassin Spirit has disappeared from the market, which is super disappointing seeing it was one of the best performing budget coolers in that price tier and Thermalright replaced the actual Amazon page with its updated model Assassin King which its more expensive replacement. I previously have had such good things to say about Thermalright, its LGA1700 bracket and many of its previous line and thermal pastes being excellent products but I don't like when businesses/sellers use deceptive conduct to sell newer products masquerading as previously well reviewed Amazon products by reusing Amazon links, it just doesn't sit well with me and i'd rather see them show end of line/out of stock.

      Hi Tyson, wellcome back. I guess if there is a demand on an item but with low supply, prices will increase, this includes companies will want to make the most profit out of it. I mean in general, even for some people, they buy cheap and sell expensive. So ya I get what you mean..

    4:20 Just out of curiosity, should I place some washers to protect the motherboard from the spacers? Arctic has a similar mount with their Sports 34 Duo cooler and they provide some sort washer stickers to place before you screw the spacers on top of the motherboard.
    Although my spacers are 1mm plastic sl I'm not sure if that would throw off the entire mounting system off balance lol.

    • @KleoYan
      @KleoYan  Год назад +1

      Hello Logan, welcome back, I do not advise you to do so if it's not provided. the plastic standoff will not scratch your motherboard and if you place a washer. the retention pressure will be more as you screw down the heatsink block to the standoffs. It's better not to do that.
