I have the same frame, but it's sitting on the desk for now because it's missing one of its front metal standoffs from crashing on the last flight 😂 and I'm still waiting for the replacement to arrive. I'm using an OVX 306 VTX for that build, and I had issues with some voltage sag. The video feed sometimes became so noisy with random lines when punchy throttle was applied. I don't know why.

How does something like this handle a good 10-15mph wind? I have a mobula 6 that gets trashed by a gust of wind and I'm looking for the next step up for practicing freestyle fpv. I was thinking a 4" or 5" would probably be good to just jump to.
I’m running the dji o3 air unit with the v2 goggles on a 5 inch frame, t-motor F7 55 amp stack. Crossfire for radio link, 4S build. And flight time on the build in this video is 4 minutes on the 300mah and 5-7 minutes on the 450mah battery.
Pretty easy. It’s mostly stock beta flight settings. I didn’t change the PIDs. Just configured, setup motors, VTX, receiver, and changed the rates to my liking.

Phantom is a great frame I have a 2.5 inch Phantom build myself and I LOVE it more then 5 inch drones.
Yeah I have definitely flown this drone more than my 5" just because of ease of use and space.
@@andrewmedia3568 you can fly those anywhere very quiet too. I run 3S mostly but I got some 4S for it and its crazy fast

Yeah I would just go right for the 5 inch. They handle soo well and can still fly in some pretty harsh wind.

How was the process of using beta flight?

No mine are the VR02 the VR03 have DVR.

@@dadaisdown yeah I had the Cetus pro until I burned up the board using turtle mode. Goggle and radio still work great though 👍.

You shouldn't just break off the motor plugs, you can easily desolder them, I have done so in my own first build
