Ifrit was never seen before so he's not passed down any line at all as far as we know. He awakened in Clive bc he is Ultima's vessel, not because of pure bloodlines. He also awakened at 15 as a teenager, not a full blown adult. The phoenix is, before Ifrit it awakened, the ONLY eikon of fire and only awakens in the Rosfield line. I also find it strange you called Joshua Sanbreqois nobility....like straight up most of the things you say in this video make no sense.

I was thinking the same thing while watching. Not all of this info is correct. Also, my personal theory, is that Clive only awakened Ifrit because of Joshua priming into the Phoenix. Whenever clive is around an Eikon that just primed, his head starts ringing and Ifrit comes out. Ehich also explains why in the 5 year skip Clive mentions he couldn't use Ifrit. Cuz it only comes out against other Eikons, as is its purpose

Remember when Hugo, in his Titan form, eats a piece of the mother crystal he drinks in its raw aether and transforms into a brainless monstrosity at a scale that dwarfs the very mountain he spawned out of. The name of this Boss fight changes from that of Titan, to a new name Titan Lost. This could be very much what happened to Leviathan as well. AKA the dominant and the eikon existed at one point but due to some unknown circumstances, the eikon or its dominant attempted to absorb a portion of this mother crystal and became a raging mindless calamity of the seas that needed to end up being put down as a result. Such a tale as to the fate of Leviathan seems completely voided from all historical teachings on Valesthia so it could be that it was Ultima itself that had to intercede and wiped away the rouge Eikon, that would explain not only its erasure from the world of Valesthia but also any mention of it from the realms historical texts.

To add on to this theory, Every Crystal is said to match a dominant and one crystal. All the crystals are supposedly attached to an element. It was said that the harvested aether that held each element is what caused certain bearers to awaken with an eikon and so we only have 5 crystals in the game when we start. Fire, light, dark, earth, and one more that we don’t know the element of (could be wind or lighting). We are told the blight erases the northern territories crystals but Jill being the princess of that region awakened as ice so that’s 6. And considering ash has been nearly eviscerated by the blight with it all claiming the southern half, most likely wind or lighting Crystal was there (I believe they say that crystal disappeared but I can’t fully recall) since both cid and beneditka served under barnabas. All that to say there’s only 7 Crystals for 7 elements but we know there’s an 8. But actually we know the 8th, Dzemeykias. It was a crystal and it was smites by Ultima when the fallen rose up against him and were too “greedy” so what I believe to have happened is leviathan was the first dominant to awaken and the fallen and leviathan drank the crystal and tried to fight against Ultima who smiled them leaving the fall of dzemeykias and basically eliminated the fallen. It would explain why no one knows leviathan, why the full tapestry is only found in ash where a lot of the circle of Malius church people escaped, why the clan was wiped out, and why Joshua is the only one who mentions leviathan because he has heavily researched history to find answers for Ultima.
Of course this all could just be 100 percent wrong but that’s what I think and DLC can be the fallen and that instance

      @MarcelloGarini Год назад +27

That's me thought too, each major Eikon (except Ifrit that is the container that need to absorb them all) is linked to a mothercrystal. They took time to manifest because the crystal first need to absorb a certain amount of ether. With the Dzemekys crystal gone there is no longer a "battery" for Leviathan, and that's why is "lost". I believe that every time we destroy a crystal we also destroy the possibility for the linked Eikon to "reincarnate" in a new dominant after the current one dies.

In a DLC we may explore a new area or it is possible leviathan lays slumber in the dark crater of the battle where the "Gods" once fought near the Dominion. The Iron Kingdom actively sought and slayed their Dominant. Jill still had access to Shiva despite the crystal in the Northern Territories having been destroyed for at least over a decade. Eikons may be tied to the crystals in general but not specifically. The Dominant of Leviathan could have awakened around Twinside or the Iron Islands. As an addition, the reason the city on the water was called Twinside isn't because its central location but because there used to be two Mothercrystals situated close to each other, the towering one looming over Twinside, and the former crystal located at Dzemekys.

  • @FenriX1989

You didn't spend much time talking with NPCs, did you?
When you reach Northreach there's a group of NPCs talking about a sea monster pointing at a frozen giant structure north-west of Sanbreque, looking at the world map it points at the north region, leviathan probably lies over there, it may be entrapped in ice by an old shiva dominant. If it's still frozen this may explain why it's not awakened in a new dominant, cause it's still alive buried in ice.
There are 3 missing crystals in the game, one was destroyed by waloed and Odin, one in dzemekys by ultima against the fallens, there's no mention about the reason why the north crystal is missing, a fight between shiva and leviathan may explain both the missing crystals, the reason why we didn't get a chance to explore that region, the disappearance of leviathan.

    My theory:
Levianthan DLC will be on the past. If you read the lore about Dzemekys falls, its say that once, was a mothercrystal there, and makind challenge god. The battle was devasted, and in the end, god wins.
In the age of the Fallen, man, hoping to claim the power of the gods, laid siege to the crystal in an attempt to gain entry to its aether-rich heart. Rather than attempt to fend off the assault, he instead responded by destroying the Mothercrystal and its heart-the great crater left behind standing as a reminder of man’s hubris.
Leviathan Eikon rebel againts Ultima and got defeated. Ultima then banished him for all eternity for his "sin". He say to Clive in the final battle that he will make Clive suffer for all eternity because of his sin.
Thats why Ultima dont use Levianthan's power, why "God" is gonna use a power from a sinner/traitor?
If he is call the lost, its because no one saw him in a long time...
The Levianthan and Ultima is similiar to God and Lucifer.

I for one actually like the absence of Leviathan. It adds mystery to the history Valisthea and allows for speculation as to what happened to them. While it would have been cool to see Leviathan, I do not mind them not being in the game as that would have overly bloated the story as to why a Dominant of Leviathan is doing what they are doing, who's side they are on, and etc.
I do however the blight was used more like fighting in blighted areas where you had to use your innate skill rather than rely on the Eikons, and while it's stated that nothing can really live in the blight, I feel like there could be bandits or new blighted monsters like the Akashic. I genuinely love the world of Valisthea and the Theories that it can provide for its in world mysteries that not even Moss the Chronicler would know.

Iirc it's not specified whether what they did worked similar to the dominants or if they did actual classic ff summoner job stuff, which would make the eikons themselves way different in nature.

If you think about it there is 9 eikon in total. Rosfield family has always been Phoenix throughout the generations. UNTIL the "anomaly" Ifrit came to be. Ifrit seems to not be the eikon of fire in this FF, it seems like a "joker card" that can house all the eikons elements. More like an eikon of vessel. Because all the ultimas that were slumbering all have Ifrit/infernal eikon models, so ONE anomaly human was choson to be special, Mythos. So it could be just Leviathan not explained for future content, Might be the water tribe extinct.

Even if it's stated that there are 8 Eikons in total, DLC opens up the possibility of others that perhaps even Ultima himself was not aware of (or he was otherwise unable to take advantage of them), as the FF franchise as plenty of other options to choose from, such as Alexander, Anima, Diabolos, Eden, Siren, etc. So it's possible one DLC could primarily revolve around Leviathan, and then another could take place on another continent rather than remaining in The Twins (and the Leviathan DLC could consist of the events that lead to Clive and the others leaving the Twins for that other continent and thus coming into contact with those other Eikons). DLC leaves things open for plenty of possibilities.

The fact that Leviathan is missing may also explain why Clive wasn't actually a perfect vessel like Ultima thought. He was missing an eikon and as such he was incomplete.

Well if there will be a DLC hope that it will be a prequel about why Leviathan is Lost. A little bit of lore. Or we could get Adventures of Cid DLC. The end of the story is fine as it is. Clive was never supposed to wield Ultima power fully since it was probably only a one time use and then lights out. The Ending was obvious to end the age of magic meaning no crystals, no magic, no Dominants end of story.
I would prefer if it would be a prequel but if they do an overhaul of the story an put it somewhere in between without creating plot holes than OK. If not hard pass. Besides the true ending will be told in Dissidia Opera Omnia if Clive will be featured there. There you will find if he survived or turned in to dirt when the curse was taking its price for using a power that was not meant to be used by him.

It is told in the game "Being a dominant means it comes natural to controll your Eikon". When cid talked to Clive about Ifrit being an abnormality and Clive not being able to controll how to summon Ifrit. Or maybe it was Joshua i do not remember who it was but i remember this exact wording.
So the possibility of "leviathan" not being awoken or laying dormant is not possible. Since Joshua had controll over Phoenix at the age of 6 or 7 while Clive at 15 did not.
Also, they are known by religion that 8 Eikon's exist. Meaning one point of time Leviathan did exist as a Eikon. Ifrit however did not, Ifrit is an abnormality and never before seen Eikon. Phoenix is the "fire" tribe's Eikon and not Ifrit.
My hypothesis is that the bloodline of Leviathan died out. Maybe the blight took the people of Leviathan's bloodline. Or maybe Ultima never wanted to give Leviathan to any human for some reason after it first appeared. Since Leviathan is Ultima's power.
So you cannot make similair patterns to Clive's Eikon Ifrit to other Eikon's since Ifrit is an abnormality and did not appear since the birth of mankind.

Is the reason why twinside is called twinside. Is because it has 2 mother crystals?
