I must say that yes, while that is NOT how armor crafting really works, it does make a lot of sense... The plates added around a base helm to represent the visor, for instance, is very intuitive! I chuckled a bit at the gothic armor being made FROM the knights armor with just a few extra nuggets! 😆 You can tell that quite a bit of thought was put into these!
I agree, the developer put thought into these recipes! It makes a lot of sense from the Minecraft crafting perspective where you are essentially creating the general shape of the item in the crafting grid. And you're right, this isn't how armor crafting really works. But I think overall it is adapted very well to Minecraft! :)

I'm using version 1.20.1 and am unable to craft the Decorated armet, for some reason using the crafting recipe will only give me a regular armet without the plume, it isn't even an item that can be searched up in creative mode or searched up using JEI. Do you know what the issue could be?

I am using version 1.19.1.
With the latest playable version of this mod, I cannot craft ceremonial knight armor or the Maximilian armo set at all. The recipes shown above do not work in practice, and while they do show up in creative mode or when using /give command, that is the ONLY way to find them.. Any solutions?
The Heavy Crossbow is a relatively new addition to Epic Knights and is probably only available on Minecraft 1.18 and 1.19. Otherwise double check if you have a Pole instead of a Hilt.
Great Mod but I have a problem with banners. instead of patterns on banners I have this purple-black texture that is always there when something is missing. I've already tried everything. Anyone had that too? The patterns themselves are ok, but when I apply them I have this problem
So I am using guard villager mod with this, but the only problem is the size of the villager heads and their nose. soı whenever I give them cool helmets their head and nose stick out from those cool helmets

if you want a plume you gotta craft the decoration then add the plume to the armet in a crafting table
