I love Create Mod and it's addons are some of the best parts of it but I was WRONG about Dreams and Desires because I wasn't playing on the newest update that adds a ton of new features and balancing changes so in this video you get my first impressions of the new features and how they work!

Tchaikovsky is long dead, he made pieces like 1812 overture as well (the cannon one). So his music is safe to play
the notes is safe to play by yourself but versions of overture in internet are made by orchestra studios and they keep copyright

the industrial fan can also be used as an easy and compact way to generate stress the same way you could in old create with the regular fan, its also faster than the fan use to be, and i think creates more SU as well.
@creeperwolf1001 that's by putting a heat source under it and powering it with redstone right? I never seemed to be able to get that working with the industrial fan
@@redstoneguy10ls it might be a mod version thing then, but yeah, putting it above lava with the blades facing down, and powering it with a lever does/did the trick for me, i used it to make a relatively compact bulk smelter.

Power Generation
Before version 0.5, an Encased Fan could generate Rotational Force at a speed of 16 RPM when placed above a Magma Block, Lava, Fire, or Campfire and powered via Redstone. After version 0.5, this feature was removed.
@@EmilioDS I can't tell the intent behind this reply; my best guess is that you're informing me that the feature was removed? If that is the case, I am aware. I am speaking in regards to the industrial fan from the Dreams and Desires mod, not the regular Create mod fan. Otherwise, please clarify.
the furnace engine being replaced sort of made sense to me but still made me sad ... i still don't know why they removed the magma fan feature. even if u combined a bunch of them they were super inefficient, but it was amazing for making little doors for huts or small drawbridges and other things u didnt need a ton of fast power for. they fit in like 3x1 profile and could be hidden super easily, now ur next best bet is to make a whole underground waterwheel or windmill - its just not worth the effort anymore. back in old create i would put a magma fan door on like every fishing hut, villager shed, and other small factory i made. now it just feels less interactive overall because u need so much more space and time to pull it off

The horizontal tanks and vertical vaults are better in Create: Connected, except in that they are called a fluid vessel and a storage silo
on god, even have the big hand crank in it as well
You can wrench the fluid vessels sides too, it has a few different variants
@@jamiemcd kinda baffles me that it seems they could be easily united together by becoming horizzontal/perpendicolarly placeable blocks like logs but somehow not the case
Also, Dejojo I discovered that if you hold a blaze rod, the Inert Blazelings follow you, and they’re also passive

The guilded rose quartz tools USED to be in create, they had a longer reach distance, so it may be the same in this.
The tools are able to take zero durability when using a filled back tank

they removed the rubber tree for one update, it will be in the next, I think that's how you got the sap.

A couple things you missed:
The excavation drill CAN mine multiple ores at once, but there's some sort of specific shape the ore cluster has to be(?), I remember I was playing around with it in survival, had it enchanted with Unbreaking 3, Efficiency 5, the whole all of it, and I mined a coal ore on a ridiculously large deposit, it broke instantly but there was xp everywhere...
Seething Ablaze Rods can be used as an alternative to Blaze Cakes, apparently Blazes really love cannibalism
I'm not sure if you can use the giant gear with a furnace engine, but that wasn't why you couldn't place it, there just wasn't enough room for it. Now I gotta test that later...
how do u get the seething blaze and seething blaze burner? i have tried lookign forever and cant find any info
I would guess that the Redstone divider divides the rotational speed by the Redstone signal.
I wonder if you could connect multiple of them in like a chain drive
maybe it uses rotational speed to divide redstone signals and you need a comparator... nah, thats dumb!
12:08 the redstone divider is similar to the comparator, it takes a redstone signal and divides the stress output by that signal.
The Kinetic motor could be used for powering belts
reminds me of some of the create addon electric motors. if you really don't want to bother with having a big ol system. can't even abuse them to juice the stress they produce cause they're semi-expensive
or any clock
The Kinetic Motor is technically a Creative Motor with less maximum output to not be overpowered.

I made a crazy furnace engine powered rotation generator in above and beyond, using automatic placers holding wrenches to constantly keep changing the direction of a funnel, so that some cheap iron armor would forever be going in and out of each furnace, allowing me to not have any byproducts. As a large scale answer to rotation needs before steam engines it worked surprisingly well!

You're right, that mod does look much better now. I'm glad you gave it a second chance.
typically in JEI you can click the arrow in the recipe between the input and result to bring up a list of all recipes for that machine
having to shift for the excavator kind of sucks since it forces you to slow down while speed mining... hopefully swift sneak will make that a bit more practical
When you tried to put the giant flywheel on the furnace engine, it just said "Clear blocks for placement, because it takes 3 blocks. You didn't clear them so it didn't let you place it, but I think it can connect to the furnace engine.

I don’t know what the rose quartz tools are for but they probably are intended as multitools
Would be cool if the author made air-fed variants of the saw and drill that, instead of using durability, used a back tank to feed compressed air into the tools.

The rose quartz tools can give you xp even if they are being used by deployers on contraptions
Some big parts that I'm sad didn't make it into the new version of Dreams and Desires is the Rubber Tree, Mithril, and the Shadow Steel stuff. A part that annoys me about it is that the coal pieces, lapis shards, and diamond shards aren't nine so they don't compact in automated compacting nor are they automatically detected by Storage Drawers recipes.
You can make sap by putting stripped logs on item drains.
Personally I don't like this mod very much, it adds a lot of stuff that other addons already add and those addons do it better, and most of the other additions are useless.
I think it's less that those other addons do it better, more that they do it differently. Like the Create SA drill can't get efficiency and you cant not mine in a 3x3, but it requires fuel not durability. The bulk processing machines make it feel more expensive because the version in the configuration for create feels too cheap due to working with the normal press. The bore block is from what I've seen unique to this mod. The calcite and other recipes this mod adds is mixing and processing for production, not cobble farm like the other mods. It also adds back some features from previous versions of create, and the fan sails are in another addon but that addon is for a much older version of create only
200% agree with you. I had it installed, and I'm gonna remove it, too much redundancy
The drill and magnet yeah, Create Stuff and Additions do it better, but you gotta enjoy the rubber mechanics, the furnace engine and the tools

@kaz-gaz thanks for the confirmation. It makes sense, but the stargaze singularity progression was always my favorite part of the mod(the casings were AWESOME, the recipie added a nice long term progression project, and the duplication part was neat for building and simplifying some farms), and I'm sad to see it currently not implemented. I hope it makes a return soon!

You can play tachaikovsky, ONLY if the copyright for the performance has also expired or doesn’t exist. Performances have their own copyright so you can’t just use music from that performance even if the piece no longer has copyright. It’s confusing, I know, but Ludwig and jschlatt DID create a channel dedicated to just free music so you can use music from that channel (it’s called “Lud and Schlatts music emporium”). I don’t know if the newer pieces they made on their own are able to be used but I do know that the videos that say “[COPYRIGHT FREE]” are able to be used.
this add on is similar in a mod pack on modrynth called "5 Create Live" which is just like your Create skyblock series, but some blocks and crafting i think arent in it. it would be cool to see a playthrough on "5 Create Live" but your already doing a create skyblock series XD, plus Im asking for too much :P.

I’m pretty sure i was told you get sap through draining logs but didnt work for me, i’d love a way to farm rubber through trees without having to use that one mod that adds the arboreal extractor
stripped logs one by one passed over a fluid drain. It has a chance of draining on the first pass or over multiple passes.

@@Sweet_Clod edit 1.20.1-0.2c.PREBETA stripped oak/acacia/spruce/jungle rolled 1 by 1 over an item drain will produce sap. This sap can be turned into rubber.

the horizontal fluid and vertical vault are done by connected way better, more similar to base create
the fluid reservors are just fluid vessels from create: connected and stockpiles are silos from create: connected and the cog crank is from create: connected it has bigger cogcranks

The only problems with this mod right now are:
1. Blueprints, industrial and pneumatic casings and blueprints don't appear in jei.
2. Rubber has no crafting recipe
3. Industrial fans don't require a mechanical crafter and can produce 1024 su!!!! And you craft 4 of them!!! This could be intentional, but it makes the furnace engine completely useless, since it only produces 2048 su.
Also a thing: now, the furnace engine actually requires for something to be smelting. If you take out the item out of the top slot, it stops working. No more cheese

Dude i accually love your mod im using it in my modpack as well that im working on right now. I accually have a question for you, so its a highly progressive based create modpack and there is an ultimate version to everything, and rn im coding the ultimate casing, what should the recipe type be? I tried using deployers but eventually if the crafting gets too big it doesnt fit inside the JEI menu XD

To get rubber you need to harvest logs from a rubber tree (at least that was the case in older versions).
if anyone is wondering the newest version is only forge sadly well i can see fabric getting updated soon hopefully
the industrial fan looks like it has a cogwheel on it too, so you can run them like create 0.1 fans (i think thats how they worked?)

I’m playing 1.20.1 with Create and a few addons. None of the Ponder scenes from any addons work for me, even mods I know had Ponder scenes in 1.12… anyone else experience this? Anyone know how to fix it?

Create: Dreams and Desires is a big mod for Create adding a lot of content.
Guessing the Gilded Quartz tools are probably more enchantable than diamond, so while not a very big upgrade, they'll get better enchantments than usual. Granted, that is a pure guess :D
Hazard blocks actually prevent you from jumping up 1 high blocks

I did some of the gallery screenshots for dreams n' desires a while ago when the beta versions just released, it seems like it's gone a long way
I personally really like the casings blocks from the old one so I still want to use the old version for its building blocks as the new stuff is kinda not that great
A warning: this mod's version on 1.20.1. has blaze burners bugged: they're impossible to overheat with any means in survival, just using blaze cakes as normal fuel. The creator of the mod is aware of this issue and hopefully will fix it soon.
