Why does Shrink Plastic... Shrink?

Have you seen shrink plastic before?! You draw a picture on it, place it in an oven at 200°C (392°F) and watch the picture become three times smaller! Woah!!
This is a type of plastic called polystyrene. While you can buy it from the store, you can also find free sheets of polystyrene in your recycling bin (it's used for some food containers). How cool is that?!
This video covers the science behind why this plastic shrinks when heated in the oven. I also make some pretty cool pokémon items with it too!!
