TenPoint Crossbow Technologies unveiled the Vapor RS 470 crossbow today at the 2020 ATA shot in Indianapolis. With a speed rating of a scorching 470 fps, this bow is packed with features designed to assist the shooter and to keep that person safe. Спорт
Impressive technology, I will keep shooting my compound bow but I still enjoy seeing how companys continue to improve hunting and archery industry
Fantastic! I've been holding off on buying a new crossbow because I wanted decocking and speed of a Ravin, but without the noise and I wanted the safety, customer service, and reliability of TenPoint. The only decision now is which bow suits me best. I'm leaning Vengent.
Placed my order today from Wyvern.
Are they going to have a 500 fps next year ??? I buy it in a minute!!!
My good i wish that i could own that beautifull thing in norway
I like crossbows allot but the reason I shy away from archery is the cost of the arrows and with broadheads are prohibitive for me.
Is it possible to load ball bearings ?
Um u still had to click or switch
India delivery hua
Impressive. Assuming one is in decent shape, can this xbow be cocked by hand using a sled or rope cocker?
Not gonna happen!!!
The silent cocking device is already in the Assassin TD bows
Love my Tenpoint xbows, plural. Why so many haters in the comments?
Thanks for your support and happy hunting!
Because all tp does is copy ravin!!! They weigh alot more also.
Cole your a joke!!! Tp copy hortons reverse draw and now they copy ravin. Get a life
It would be super nice to have the best of both crossbows combined into one Crossbow. I would like to see this Model RS Vapor 470 Ten Point designed with the Raven style of having the arrows suspended above the track (friction free) and the guide rest wheels in the front like the Raven model and at 470 fps or better. I would find that very interesting ! This would be a good job for the Ten Point engineers to work on.
Lol every xbow going more compact is going to find it harder and harder to be legal in Ny
Yep. It sucks. We don't have much of a choice . I sold my 10 point this year because of how left behind it was in technology and noticed almost everything is illegal because of the dumb ata law. Scoryd has one that is legal tho and that is what im looking at
I love upstate NY but what isn't illegal in NY anymore?
@@keithharrold7262 ny put laws into affect for the length as well as from cam to cam needs to be 17 inches or greater not including the cam
From limb to limb
@SuperGoldnut till the dec changes the rule yes
My AXE 405 has all that but not the cost...
£2700 in real money, I could buy a really good used car for that money, think i will go back and check out excalibur again lol
What is the price and when is it available
retails $2899 and 2999 for camo . They start shipping in March.
Now accepting pre-orders on our website and through our TenPoint Dealers. Crossbows will begin shipping in mid-to-late February.
3K is an absurd price imo, Tenpoint make amazing crossbows dont get me wrong but the prices are just way to high. I know there are cheaper options within Tenpoints inventory but god damn, 3K for a crossbow that has features that cheaper crossbows have is just a bit much for me. No matter how many times you say safety is number 1 long story short ... congrats you made a crossbow that can cock and decock that other companies have had for years. Again Tenpoint make awesome looking and performing crossbows but imo you got to drop your prices on the Vapor RS 470 and NITRO XRT and the XRT is 2600 and it cant even decock.
what would you reccomend
@@user-tr2dh4xx6u to be honest if you're a ten point fan and you have a lot of money buy ten point but in my opinion better bang for buck and very reliable crossbows are Excalibur. Another great company is also Barnett. Ravin crossbows are also really good but they are on the more expensive side. But again this is my opinion you can choose to do whatever you want.
@@judgetbuzzard new to crossbows, i might get one of these just so I dont regret getting the better one later lol, its an investment
@@user-tr2dh4xx6u yeah absolutely do what you got to do
Eight pounds is not a light crossbow. Also the 470 fps is with about a 385 grain arrow. Lastly the price is way to high for the average hunter to be able to afford. Looks like they are shooting for people with deep pockets.
dheller777 It's called supply and demand. If hunters weren't buying them they wouldn't be making more and more expensive crossbows each year.In a year or two there will crossbows in the $5,000 range.Don't get me wrong , I wouldn't pay these prices either but there are other hunters out there that are shelling out the money.
@@roccomanucci Yea like there are a lot of deep pockets out there. Dead deer is just as dead at 300 fps vs 470 fps.
dheller777 You’re absolutely correct.Dead deer under 300 FPS too
love that, but i'm in china and we can't buy crossbows
that's funny they copied the Ravin and took the credit. also I cock and de-cock my Ravin and it don't make a sound. hate the foot stirrup. next year they will get away with the rail and take credit for that as well. Not I love my Ravin!!!!!!
LOL
Only took 4 years to basically copy the Ravin cocking device.
On some of new 2020 Ten Point crossbows the SAFETY cannot be moved to the left side for left handed shooters like previous crossbows. Beware Lefties
Not legal for hunting in NY.....smh.
During gun it is
I love my Excalibur Assassin crossbow. Its simple and my kids can cock and decock it. Ten Point is behind the times with their decocking mechanism and it is way more expensive.
The ACUslide Cocking and Decocking system is the only crank-style cocking mechanism that is fully contained inside of the stock and that has SAFETY as its #1 feature. This SAFE, SIMPLE, and SILENT cocking/decocking system allows you to cock the crossbow simply by turning the crank handle forward or backward, without any concern that the handle will spin out of control. The ACUslide system is available on the Viper S400, the Vengent S440, and the Vapor RS470 crossbows, which start at just $1549.99!
It is not a "FIRE ARM" !!! You do not " fire" a bow !!! You "Shoot " it !
At what point do we stop considering these archery equipment? This bow having the same season as a trad bow is a little ridiculous.
I'm seeing people make 100 yard shots with compound bows now so I'm thinking what is still archery? The days that I'm familiar with having 40 yards maximum distance to shoot are long gone.
@@keithharrold7262 Archery for me, personally, requires that you draw while in the kill zone. Not when you step out of the truck on the way to your stand.
@@SellsZac Lol yup
I don't care, just want to take advantage of the archery seasons with the best equipment possible, don't care so much about the "tradition" of archery. Been hunting with compounds for 33 years.

I felt exactly the same way you do for over 45 years. Crossbows are not in the same category as any other bow type. Then in 2016 I injured my left shoulder. They operated on it in 2017 and then again in 2018. My shoulder injury caused me to retire with a disability. I can no longer draw a bow now because of my injured shoulder. The only way for me to hunt during the archery season will be with a crossbow. My surgeon is writing me a letter so I can receive a disabled archers permit. I wish I could still shoot my Mathews MR5 and my DXT but it just is not in the cards......
Do u think 10 point could copy the ravin any better. Guess 10pt dont have any good ideas of their own!!! FTP!!!
Bad camera work. Should have been focused more on the product.
Slowly and Slowly we loose the integrity of Archery...
I'm old enough to remember when stick and stringers were saying the same thing about compound bows.
