Still have my Sheridan .20 cal I got 50 + years ago. Can still hit a chippy at 20-40’ with the original iron sights.

Just out of curiosity, what did the bolts weigh? The airboat looks to be slightly heavier. With the fitting and O ring, it could weigh a few grams more. If so, it very well could break over 450 fps!
But, I wouldn't want to have to live on the difference!

This is some great info. A lot of people don't care for the air rifle with air bolts. Maybe this will change their minds.

300 is the minimum speed indiana needed for air pews, though they cannot be used during the archery season currently

Speed is not the power, you have to weigh the compete arrow, take the arrow weight and times it by the speed, there's the power factor.

When did Tennessee change the laws about us using big bore air guns to hunt big game?
2 years ago. Can use airguns using bolts and can shoot lead 35 caliber and larger. Must be used during firearms season

The tip was the same but what was the length of the bolts and did they weigh the same? The ten point was quite.

Looks like we can't use air bows for deer in TN if I'm reading TWRA's website correctly. Which makes no sense since the deer wouldn't know the difference if hit by an arrow flung from a xbow or an air bow and given the "slow" Umarex CO2 Air Javelin shoots quite a bit faster than a long bow.
Yes we can. But only during gun season. Can't use during archery

The dragon claw II hits about 600fps with a 430gr airbolt.

Don’t forget to get a chrono speed for your 150g broadheads and set the scope to that exact speed or you’ll have problems at longer distances 😂don’t ask how I know
so is there such a thing as a hollow point for archery? has anybody ever tried?
Archery kills via bleeding trauma, i.e. cutting veins, arteries, cutting through lungs, etc. A hollow point such as a bullet is designed to effect shock by expanding in the body of the target animal. The velocity of any arrow or bolt isn’t fast enough to expand a hollow point sufficiently to be effective.
There are expanding, mechanical broadheads for archery equipment, to fly more aerodynamically, and expand on contact, similar to the effect of hollow point bullets, it increases the cutting area of the blades.

You got to remember the bolt out of the ten point is lighter then the dragon claw
That's not necessarily true. The crossbow bolts although shorter have a much much heavier wall thickness than those shot out of an air bow. An air bow arrow accelerates from the front of the arrow meaning it doesn't have to have the strength to be accelerated from the rear with a string like a crossbow. But based on what both manufacturers say the crossbow bolt is about 20 grain heavier than the airgun.
Dragon Claw all day unless there is a catch 🙃
Especially for the versatility of still having a true air rifle. And it would fit in conventional storage and cases.

Looking it up it's about 450gr for the crossbow and 430gr for the airgun

The Stealth will do it time after time , continuosly without worry though . I would have to say that the Tenpoint gets front row with me .
The Stealth is legal in all the lower 48 , is the Dragon Claw legal in them all ?
