Did any pony notice how the ponies with, =, their coats were faded and they didn't have bright colors? But now take a look with ponies that have cutie marks, their coats have color and is a lot brighter, now look at Starlight Glimmer, she has that, =, but her coat had color and was brighter than the ponies that had, =, so it was obvious, well I thought so. Reply to me if any pony else saw that.

It's not Communism or socialism or Marxism. The village was Fascist. The stereotypes being "it's an equal sign! It must be communist!" or "it can't be Fascist there was no racism or discrimination". Well communism about equal RIGHTS not equal limitations. And fascism is about The people being ruled in fear by the state with different ideas and options suppressed and censored the racism just always accompanies fascism because people mistake Nationalism for racism. And I don't wanna hear the whole "but the village was just like the stalinist era during the Soviet Union!" bullshit, Stalin was no communist and neither was the USSR they were SOCIALIST and most true Leninists/ Marxists / Communists agree.
The moment I saw best KP face running over that hill, I knew this was gonna be good.
To be fair, if Spike was there, the plot would have unravelled sooner cause Spike, being a dragon, had no cutie mark.

Am I one of the few people who is more pleased to see Spike being acknowledged as having friends outside of the mane six than disappointed he was left out of the episode? Admittedly it was at the expense of a 'girls don't like football' joke, but my head canon is that comic where they all go watch 'my little human' instead. I mean, yes, he could have resolved the issues, but then we wouldn't have had such a fun episode, with a surprisingly dark concept for what started out as a little girls show to sell toys. I mean, cults and brainwashing in MLP? Who knew!

Fun review as always KP, I eagerly await to hear how you felt about episode 3. As for this episode, I'm just happy they mixed up the formula. Poor Silver quill, every time he comes up with a "this is going to become a problem" things, the writers fix it immediately. First the princess debate, now his 2-parter madlib.
Wow KP, I am actually impressed with this video. The opening wasn't like anything I was expecting, and in a introversive way, it actually works for me. While I am a bit disappointed that you didn't use the Godzilla roaring reference, the reference was still amusing to watch; Also, DBZ Abridged references earns you an extra 5 point of awesomeness in my book. I am also impressed that you didn't outright praise the S5 opener episode, and furthermore, you addressed the problems and why they didn't work, and thats good enough for me to comment all the nice things you did in this video. Celestia has a lot of explanation to do about these conveniently-named unicorns...........ALOT of explanation. Kudos KP

Concerning the theme of the show being centered around relationships, you have to give them credit too by addressing the issue that conflict and pain are a part of what it means to have a relationship with anyone. You don't enter a relationship by putting someone under your control for your needs to be met, you are patient with each other, take care of each other, suffer with each other, and by that bond not only enjoy the good, but learn from the bad. Starlight wanted to make friendships and relationships easy by removing all differences, probably because of the heartache she herself experienced in not wanted to lose control of herself for the sake of someone else like Twilight Sparkle does everyday. But by removing all differences you remove the entire purpose of relationships altogether. No one cared about each other because everyone was already careless. They didn't have any needs thus didn't have any wants and no one had to sacrifice for the sake of someone else. It's not a life worth living because it removes the whole purpose of why we're here. To love people. Look at Jesus, He didn't just tell us He loved us, He suffered for us proving the ultimate example. Friendship, Relationships, and Love aren't easy, but they're definitely worth it. I enjoyed the episode because it wasn't about communism, it showed a life without love is a life without purpose. If you spare yourself pain, you only add to it. If you take the pain and work through it, that's real peace. We'll get to it eventually on the channel but I appreciate your insight KP. Thanks again for keeping the reviews up and going.

Starlights master-plan in the future(keep that word in mind)
if you've noticed in a few episodes Starlight can be seen spying on Twilight and her friends and in the ending to Friendship games Twilight mentions she was caught in a time travel loop so here is what i think is happening here.
Starlight obviously pissed as fuck at the mane 6 for ruining her first plan and taking away her "village" followers and all decides to get even by using a spell she's been working on(possibly the same time travel spell twilight once used) to go back in time and stop Rainbow Dash from creating the sonic rainboom that gave all 6 of them their cutie marks thus taking away their special talents thus causing Twilight to have to rediscover her destiny and uncover Starlight's plan and travel back and stop her from stopping rainbow dash but in doing so messes up a bunch of times and drives things further out of whack until something *cough cough* Magic of friendship *cough cough* intervenes and sets things right and result in her learning the true magic of friendship and that being an individual isn't a bad thing etc etc and MAYBE becomes a main character? i dunno we will have to wait and see

Back in 2017, I came up with a whole new bunch of ideas to give Friendship is Magic a 10th season and do more with the equal village ponies, starting with an episode where the voice of Camille Leon from Kim Possible voices Flower Flight, a background pony from the equal village, teaches Rainbow Dash and Fluttershy how she eventually forgave Starlight Glimmer not as easily as the Mane 6 and Equal 4 did. What started out as a tale about Flower Flight thinking that pegasi are not cut out for flowers leads to a chase across Equestria to catch Starlight Glimmer for being an equal fraud. I noticed something really interesting. (To me) In the Warriors books by Erin Hunter, (The New Prophecy set) the last three books were called Starlight, Twilight, and Sunset in that order. Reminds me of some powerful Unicorns with similar names...

DiamondSongBrony63 ' It did what it meant to do. If you watch the episode enough, and hear that song over and over, it WILL get stuck in your head, and so will all of Starlight's little philosophies that are sprinkled in there. It's kinda scary.

In my opinion, this episode was a little... much for the younger kids who still watch the show. Especially when they were locked in a room with repetitive creepy phrases echoing from the speakers like, "To excel is to fail" and "Choose equality as your special talent", and even all of the books were just tons and tons of "='s".

My theory is that we'll being seeing counterparts of the others, namely Pinkie, Rainbow, or Rarity(Because they seem logical).

After watching the latest episode of MLP:FiM, and noticing that pegasi that perform similar tasks have similar names, I do believe that this whole thing of unicorns with powerful magic getting similar names goes more or less the same way. Basically like, "Oooh, my daughter does cool magic! Let's name her after her magic!" Thus Sunset Shimmer, Starlight Glimmer, and Twilight Sparkle. :P

Some of you guys waited for 10 months for MLP's Season 5. I only had to wait 6 months before seeing the season premiere
Assuming that is because you became a brony 6 months ago I guess I had to only wait 4 months
But dam did that feel long but I wait that was worth it
I'm the fourth viewer, yeah!
And this one was funnier than usual. It kept making me laugh. Stop being so funny.
Aaand I was somewhat underwhelmed my first watch, but as is often the case when that is the... case, I felt better after a rewatch. I might actually have to say I rank it above PTS and RtH now... But in any case, after Castle, Sweet Castle, I have to say the season is off to quite a strong start.
Here's hoping that keeps up, like back in season 2. ;)
