    YES! The vland headlights are nice, but a little too aftermarket looking for me, and a bit too much money. The biggest reason I didn't get them is because they don't have side marker lamps which are required. But these look great! Cant wait to upgrade!

    If you’re in between buying these or vlands, get the vlands! I wanted the oem look and this video sold me. The DRL is amazing! Super bright and works just like oem. But the projectors on these are horrible! Very spotty and patchy light with weird reflections. I’ve tried the original halogen bulbs, leds, and an HID kit and they’re all terrible. I even got them professionally aimed to try to help the such poor output. If you’re going for looks get these. If you’re going for light output, get the vlands. I wish I could return these but you can’t once they’re installed. I very much regret the purchase and wish I got the vlands. Hope this helps someone.

      @@Legends yes 100%! After tax and shipping you’re looking a little under $500 for these. Definitely worth the extra $100 or so for the vlands. Much better light output, free shipping, and a better return policy if you buy from Amazon or eBay. I can’t stress enough how bad the projectors are in these. My oem halogen were better. 15 years old and super foggy and yellow. I can send a picture if you’re interested. I also plan on trying to sell these for cheap if you’re interested.

    What style or size are the low beam LEDs? What are the bulb hole shapes/pattern on Depo headlights?
    I converted my stock HID wiring to aftermarket pigtails that will fit new bulbs, however I’ve also order a ton of LED bulbs, that don’t FIT INSIDE FACTORY HOUSING PLATE because they need that DS4 fitment.
    So I’m trying to upgrade but your video doesn’t show specific bulb and housing bulb plate fitment design.

    Just an FYI, taking out the Fuse will indeed stop the AFS light from blinking. However, you will lose auto leveling (up and down) when doing so during start up. Auto-leveling is different from AFS. AFS the projector moves left and right during turns which was removed from factory for 2011-2013 IS models with the new headlight option. If the blinking AFS lights bothers you and you want to keep auto-leveling, I recommend opening up the cluster and using black electrical tape to cover up the light.

    • @michaelmartinez4515
      @michaelmartinez4515 4 года назад +1

      I read somewhere on a lexus forum you can just take out the AFS fuse and it'll disabled the light on the dash.

    • @oneBIGMAC2go
      @oneBIGMAC2go 4 года назад

      @@michaelmartinez4515 Yup. But you lose auto-leveling - up and down. I left my fuse in because I wanted to keep auto leveling functioning and used black electrical tape to cover the blinking AFS light in the cluster. The fuse is tied to both Auto leveling and AFS . If you don't care for auto leveling then taking out the fuse is the easiest way to remove the blinking AFS light (AFS- your projectors move left and right when turning. You lose this when upgrading to the new headlight.)

    • @michaelmartinez4515
      @michaelmartinez4515 4 года назад

      Cool, but i don't think you'll still have AFS then aftermarket headlights don't have that function built in, they have plastic caps in place of the auto level motors. Im not sure if the V2 ones have auto level now but as far as I know they don't.

    • @oneBIGMAC2go
      @oneBIGMAC2go 4 года назад

      @@michaelmartinez4515 Correct. AFS function is removed from the newer headlights. If your car originally had AFS then your AFS light will blink on your dash when upgrading. I have OEM 12-13 headlights. So I'm not sure if the DEPO ones has auto-leveling for V1 or V2. DEPO is a great option for the price cuz I paid an arm and a leg for the OEM ones. This was before DEPO was available.

    • @MartyMotoring
      @MartyMotoring  3 года назад +1

      Well....VLAND is a full LED unit with nice turn signals and triple beam LED. 2 are for low beam and 1 is for high beam. They don’t have the greatest output being LED, but look awesome with their DRL check mark that doubles as a turn signal. The issue is that if anything goes wrong, you have to replace the whole headlight unit and not just a bulb.
      DEPO, VIPMotoz and Spyder all have factory-looking replacement headlight sets that use independently changeable bulbs like the factory setup. You can use halogen, LED or in some cases HID.
      I think both look good and can work well, but VLANDs are definitely the more expensive option.

      Go vlands for sure! I bought these and totally regret them over the vlands. The DRL is beautiful and just like oem, but the projector is terrible. Very spotty, patchy light with very bad output. I tried the original halogen, leds, and an HID kit and they’re all terrible. My original 15 yr old halogen headlights are better.

      I get a nasty rattle on start up from cold but only for about a second even tho it's only about a second it makes this noise makes the car feel like a cheap piece of crap after doing some searching about this noise it appears to be something to do with the cams and a valve that holds the oil up the top and can be down to 2 things either the valve spring is broken or down to poor servicing a build up of carbon or crap that stops this spring working properly so now iam in 2 minds to keep or sell but every time it's warm and I drive it I forgive it lol

      @@gaffnaldo1 that's the one not to good with remembering the exact names etc just understood the basics of what was happening lol but yeah dam I find it embarrassing and tend to only start it when no one is too close 🤦‍♂️😂😂😂 and I think I've read up about the problem with the rattle something to do with the dashboard should be an easy fix from what I can remember is it from the dashboard? If so pretty sure you can buy some thin strips of rubber and push them into place right near where the dashboard meets the front window I remember watching a video a few years back about someone doing this and sorted it I personally haven't had this issue everything inside feels solid with no rattles hope this helps back to the engine rattle on cold start up I did read up of someone doing a mod where it keeps oil up the top and stops this noise but tbf I've just been to lazy to get around doing this mod but definitely need to do it as it does drive me up the wall and is literally the only thing I hate about it apart from the manual shifting with the flappy paddles down shifting great does it when you want it too but up shifting its like nope I'll do it when I decide 😂😂😂
