I have been summoned....... I have been loving the podcast and when you alluded to my astrology comment on the second podcast I cried hahaha so yeah I have been studying astrology and tarot for the past five years and would call myself a psychic intuitive (kinda like a medium who sees ghosts etc but more like talking to spirit and only 'some' ghosts). I am here to give clarification on the tarot reading! One thing I do have to say is that I believe we all can "channel" in a message from spirit and in doing something ritualistic such as shuffling and pulling cards as divination, it gives us insight and guidance for whatever is going on. So in some cases, I really believe that Poki, some of the stuff you were saying can really apply to the reading that I can use as some help in interpreting both readings. *I will be interpreting the cards with my understanding and my knowledge associated with the traditional Rider Waite Tarot. Some decks have specific meanings based on their creator so please check the booklet associated with your deck for more clarification if you want* Starting with Lily's reading she gave Poki, the eight of cups is associated with the sign of Pisces and the planet of Saturn. My interpretation of the card is a person at a part of their journey where they see there is a long trek ahead of them. It is often depicted as a man with a staff at the bottom of the mountain (which I interpret as the mountain that the journey that Tarot deck starts off with with the first major arcana card of the Fool (0)). What I did see from spirit when this was being talked about was Poki, you sitting at your chair in front of your computer. Unfortunately, I do not have a strong power of clairvoyance like some folk, but I do believe that you were correct in the aspect of choosing an avenue to hone in on like you said. I think this is also prevalent because the thing you said to Lily in interpreting the Ace of Pentacles was about "having balance and mastery of five aspects of (Lily's) life" so another teller of what the message is for you. The present card of Death in the reverse. The death card is one of the 22 major arcana cards (where Arcana means "secret", so there are major secrets and minor secrets in the Tarot). When major arcana cards come up they usually hold more "weight" in a reading. The death card is associated with the zodiac sign of Scorpio. Scorpio is ruled by the modern ruler of the planet of Pluto. Pluto is the archetype of Hades (so think all death and underworld-y and shadow stuff). However, when death comes up it is more seen as a transition/change. It is a shift from one thing to the next. Some say like a "death" of something. It being in the reverse, for my interpretation, reverse cards can have two meanings and one of the ways I saw it was internal change (versus in the upright could be more physical/external change). I saw that there was something that felt like an internal change where your aura was more effervescent/bright/glowing. It felt like this brand new Poki that is more in alignment of who you are and what you stand for. Change for Taurus placements can be hard because it is asking you to tap into your polarity (of your sister sign of Scorpio) which is so anti what is natural for Taurus placements. It is interesting that what was being said in the beginning was not "liking your laugh", but honestly, from this, I heard that one of the ways you can tell how healthy you are is how much you laugh. So if I were to say anything, I would encourage you to keep laughing genuinely! Laughter is one of the most energetic emotions we can express!! to be effervescent! The future card of the ace of cups in reverse is associated with emotionality (as all cups/water cards). I again am interpreting this as more of an internal thing than an external one. My mentor taught me that this card is the "open heart" card (I love it so much I have it tattooed on me actually!). Ace cards are cool because they are one of the four cards that are showing the hand of spirit in them. It is seen as an offering from spirit and aces can also mean the self. I feel like there is this essence of being able to be more in alignment with your authentic truth, and honor that it is something that is in flow, can lead to an overall happiness and indulgence in life. Now for the reading Poki gave to Lily. For the past of the queen of wands. Wands are associated with the element of fire and to me that means action, anger, passion, maybe even fighting/conflict/battle. The queen of wands in my interpretation is of finding and utilizing voice in times of anger/distress. I really channeled in this internal anger/annoyance and this feeling of being "scrutinized" when this energy came up. Poki stated something about 'studious' so could be around learning/studies/schooling in some fashion. One of the things that Poki also brought up was magic/intellect and my deeper understanding of magic=intuition. I believe our magic is in our intuition! And so perhaps there could have been an instance of not trusting your intuition in the past, especially around voice. The present is the ace of pentacles. Ace again is that in which the hand of spirit is present so that there is an offering given to you. Pentacles is associated with the earth element and for me is the material goods, money, physical world, and career. Poki brought up pillars and five pillars. Though this isn't my interpretation of the card, we could use that as perhaps looking at the importance of the numerology of the number five. Five they say is the number of humanity. This could be the humanities or even I took it as working/career with the collective and the people. This is in alignment with Lily, your life's lesson (having Saturn in Aquarius (I think I recall...) as Aquarius is associated with the collective, the people, community, and to me it is associated with fame). Perhaps working in the eye of the people has given you more of an understanding and confidence to follow your intuition and utilize your voice, kind of like what was being talked about in the previous podcast episode. I think that gaming and anime etc and even Japan was really coming through when sitting and interpreting this card's energy that could be showing alignment of your truth. The final card is the knight of swords. Knights are associated with swiftness and going into battle. This knight of swords is associated with gemini for me and gemini is ruled by the planet of mercury. Mercury is the planet of fast moving, intellect, and communication. So when Poki was saying words such as "angry" "strength" "power" "fight for belief", it feels like in the future you are learning to master this fighting for what you believe in in terms of, potentially career, instead of people pleasing on what is "supposed to be" done. I see it in a "demure" LOL way. I am Korean myself, and I channeled it in as a humble Korean strong and stoic way of doing what is right for YOU! Yay! The last thing I will say that I got something intuitively about you singing/performing. I think that this could be a really cool way to bridge this by utilizing your voice and understanding your emotionality for people to listen to what you have to say. That is always the age-old question of 'how do you get people to listen to you?' (this is a question I am grappling with as I am getting my master's in Marriage and Family therapy). Okay so that's what I got for you. I ended up writing this up and then watching the rest of the podcast so I'm happy that some of the things I wrote came up afterwards. Again this is only a certain interpretation of the cards/the energy coming through and was captured in the video. The reason why Tarot can be so general is because of the gap between the spirit realm and this physical realm. I also wasn't the exact channel so it's hard for me to discern what the message truly is. So if you ever want a reading I would love to pull cards for you both sometime/somehow! i'm not a professional tarot reader, i only read them as a hobby, but i can tell you a bit more about the cards that you drew! the past card: the 8 of cups is about abandonment. either you abandoned someone, they abandoned you, or maybe you walked away from a situation. you had to move on from something/someone. in the image on the card, there is a man walking away from the cups. the sun is beating down and he looks tired. the present card: so, the death card is mainly about change. in the reversed position, it can represent holding onto something that might not be good for you. the death card is also associated with pluto which in astrology is the planet of painful transformations, so in the reversed position it suggests you are avoiding this pain. the future card: first, we have to talk about the ace of cups in the upright position, which represents great joy. new romance, love and happiness are all associated with the upright ace of cups. unfortunately the reversed suggests unrequited love and sadness... i am sorry that these cards are so negative :( i hope i did not offend! i am really enjoying the podcast so far

I loooove this podcast so much. I was in not so great relationships a few years ago and it ruined my friendships with my girlfriends. I’m in a much happier and more positive relationship now. Which made me happier and I have a handful of girlfriends now. Hi!! here's my interpretation of poki's reading at 17:51 please take it as it resonates! 8 of cups, death reverse, and ace of cups reverse: Poki may have felt like she had to walk away from a lot of things in her life that she worked hard for that she felt didn't resonated with her anymore what ever that may be for her. This could have naturally caused grief and sadness, the feeling of working hard towards something and not working out feels disappointing after all. The death in reverse made me feel like she's in the precipice of coming out of a huge transformation or a dark time she's going through or has gone through. Kind of like a caterpillar coming out of its cocoon. The ace of cups upright for me represents the heart space and feeling emotionally fulfilled to the point that so much beautiful emotions overflowing from your heart. From this reading as it's in reverse, I got that her heart space may be a bit closed right now but it didn't feel like it's her turning 'cold-hearted' but more from a space of self focus, kind of like 'under construction don't enter yet'. Maybe yall could read this and give a bit of insight. First off, both of yall are amazing, and thank you so much for this wonderful podcast! I'm (26m) not sure what to do at the moment because I feel like I lost my best friend (26f). It's been on and off for this girl and I for the past 5 years, sometimes being closer than anyone else in our lives, other times not having eachother at all. We were just dating and something put doubt into her heart, which made her break up with me. I know I'm not the best person, but I love her more than anything in the world and I would do anything for her. I take her out to eat when she's sad, I watch shows with her when feeling alone, I drive her around when she's anxious, I rub her feet when she's stressed, and I even wash her back when she's upset. I want to give her my everything, and over the past 5 years, we have both admitted that we are eachothers best friend, better than anyone else in our lives. We both have our own problems, and we both and tried to work on ourselves to become the best version we envision ourselves to be, but, and I say this with no malice or ill will in my heart, she's still suffering from things from her past. I just want her to be happy. I just want her to feel loved. I want to be there for her whenever she needs someone, but with her mental state, it's so hard. I only watch a couple of podcasts (the occasional OTV, Fear&, and The Yard) but genuinely as someone whos being following both of you for years (when OTV started for poki and for lily ive been following since her old league days) this podcast just hits different so thank you for spreading all the love yall can give
I have been summoned....... I have been loving the podcast and when you alluded to my astrology comment on the second podcast I cried hahaha so yeah I have been studying astrology and tarot for the past five years and would call myself a psychic intuitive (kinda like a medium who sees ghosts etc but more like talking to spirit and only 'some' ghosts). I am here to give clarification on the tarot reading! One thing I do have to say is that I believe we all can "channel" in a message from spirit and in doing something ritualistic such as shuffling and pulling cards as divination, it gives us insight and guidance for whatever is going on. So in some cases, I really believe that Poki, some of the stuff you were saying can really apply to the reading that I can use as some help in interpreting both readings.
*I will be interpreting the cards with my understanding and my knowledge associated with the traditional Rider Waite Tarot. Some decks have specific meanings based on their creator so please check the booklet associated with your deck for more clarification if you want*
Starting with Lily's reading she gave Poki, the eight of cups is associated with the sign of Pisces and the planet of Saturn. My interpretation of the card is a person at a part of their journey where they see there is a long trek ahead of them. It is often depicted as a man with a staff at the bottom of the mountain (which I interpret as the mountain that the journey that Tarot deck starts off with with the first major arcana card of the Fool (0)). What I did see from spirit when this was being talked about was Poki, you sitting at your chair in front of your computer. Unfortunately, I do not have a strong power of clairvoyance like some folk, but I do believe that you were correct in the aspect of choosing an avenue to hone in on like you said. I think this is also prevalent because the thing you said to Lily in interpreting the Ace of Pentacles was about "having balance and mastery of five aspects of (Lily's) life" so another teller of what the message is for you.
The present card of Death in the reverse. The death card is one of the 22 major arcana cards (where Arcana means "secret", so there are major secrets and minor secrets in the Tarot). When major arcana cards come up they usually hold more "weight" in a reading. The death card is associated with the zodiac sign of Scorpio. Scorpio is ruled by the modern ruler of the planet of Pluto. Pluto is the archetype of Hades (so think all death and underworld-y and shadow stuff). However, when death comes up it is more seen as a transition/change. It is a shift from one thing to the next. Some say like a "death" of something. It being in the reverse, for my interpretation, reverse cards can have two meanings and one of the ways I saw it was internal change (versus in the upright could be more physical/external change). I saw that there was something that felt like an internal change where your aura was more effervescent/bright/glowing. It felt like this brand new Poki that is more in alignment of who you are and what you stand for. Change for Taurus placements can be hard because it is asking you to tap into your polarity (of your sister sign of Scorpio) which is so anti what is natural for Taurus placements. It is interesting that what was being said in the beginning was not "liking your laugh", but honestly, from this, I heard that one of the ways you can tell how healthy you are is how much you laugh. So if I were to say anything, I would encourage you to keep laughing genuinely! Laughter is one of the most energetic emotions we can express!! to be effervescent!
The future card of the ace of cups in reverse is associated with emotionality (as all cups/water cards). I again am interpreting this as more of an internal thing than an external one. My mentor taught me that this card is the "open heart" card (I love it so much I have it tattooed on me actually!). Ace cards are cool because they are one of the four cards that are showing the hand of spirit in them. It is seen as an offering from spirit and aces can also mean the self. I feel like there is this essence of being able to be more in alignment with your authentic truth, and honor that it is something that is in flow, can lead to an overall happiness and indulgence in life.
Now for the reading Poki gave to Lily. For the past of the queen of wands. Wands are associated with the element of fire and to me that means action, anger, passion, maybe even fighting/conflict/battle. The queen of wands in my interpretation is of finding and utilizing voice in times of anger/distress. I really channeled in this internal anger/annoyance and this feeling of being "scrutinized" when this energy came up. Poki stated something about 'studious' so could be around learning/studies/schooling in some fashion. One of the things that Poki also brought up was magic/intellect and my deeper understanding of magic=intuition. I believe our magic is in our intuition! And so perhaps there could have been an instance of not trusting your intuition in the past, especially around voice.
The present is the ace of pentacles. Ace again is that in which the hand of spirit is present so that there is an offering given to you. Pentacles is associated with the earth element and for me is the material goods, money, physical world, and career. Poki brought up pillars and five pillars. Though this isn't my interpretation of the card, we could use that as perhaps looking at the importance of the numerology of the number five. Five they say is the number of humanity. This could be the humanities or even I took it as working/career with the collective and the people. This is in alignment with Lily, your life's lesson (having Saturn in Aquarius (I think I recall...) as Aquarius is associated with the collective, the people, community, and to me it is associated with fame). Perhaps working in the eye of the people has given you more of an understanding and confidence to follow your intuition and utilize your voice, kind of like what was being talked about in the previous podcast episode. I think that gaming and anime etc and even Japan was really coming through when sitting and interpreting this card's energy that could be showing alignment of your truth.
The final card is the knight of swords. Knights are associated with swiftness and going into battle. This knight of swords is associated with gemini for me and gemini is ruled by the planet of mercury. Mercury is the planet of fast moving, intellect, and communication. So when Poki was saying words such as "angry" "strength" "power" "fight for belief", it feels like in the future you are learning to master this fighting for what you believe in in terms of, potentially career, instead of people pleasing on what is "supposed to be" done. I see it in a "demure" LOL way. I am Korean myself, and I channeled it in as a humble Korean strong and stoic way of doing what is right for YOU! Yay! The last thing I will say that I got something intuitively about you singing/performing. I think that this could be a really cool way to bridge this by utilizing your voice and understanding your emotionality for people to listen to what you have to say. That is always the age-old question of 'how do you get people to listen to you?' (this is a question I am grappling with as I am getting my master's in Marriage and Family therapy).
Okay so that's what I got for you. I ended up writing this up and then watching the rest of the podcast so I'm happy that some of the things I wrote came up afterwards. Again this is only a certain interpretation of the cards/the energy coming through and was captured in the video. The reason why Tarot can be so general is because of the gap between the spirit realm and this physical realm. I also wasn't the exact channel so it's hard for me to discern what the message truly is. So if you ever want a reading I would love to pull cards for you both sometime/somehow! Thanks for such a great podcast! I hope this resonated even just a little baby bit. That would mean the world to me! :D

the present card: so, the death card is mainly about change. in the reversed position, it can represent holding onto something that might not be good for you. the death card is also associated with pluto which in astrology is the planet of painful transformations, so in the reversed position it suggests you are avoiding this pain.

the present card: the ace of pentacles is pretty simple: its really about MONEY. you have a financial opportunity ahead of you, it generally represents prosperity. i see on the card there is a big coin front and center and the hand is grasping it!
the future card: the knight of pentacles suggests there could be opportunities but there are also risks, it warns against impulsive behavior, though it could also represent an impulsive person. on the more positive side it suggests that you are a strong and assertive person

it was also really fun to see you guys giving each other tarot readings ✨️ i personally believe that even if the cards mean something "negative" or "positive" our reality is in our hands and nothing is set in stone, what lily said abt using tarot cards and readings as a self reflection tool is super helpful! for example if the death reversed means avoiding change currently and the ace of cups means all of this possible frustration in the future, maybe reflecting on what you changes you can embrace in the present to make your future brighter could be helpful ❤ i really like giving myself tarot readings and then journaling right after it, it helps me reflect on issues i might be putting off and i get to know myself a little better

Poki may have felt like she had to walk away from a lot of things in her life that she worked hard for that she felt didn't resonated with her anymore what ever that may be for her. This could have naturally caused grief and sadness, the feeling of working hard towards something and not working out feels disappointing after all. The death in reverse made me feel like she's in the precipice of coming out of a huge transformation or a dark time she's going through or has gone through. Kind of like a caterpillar coming out of its cocoon. The ace of cups upright for me represents the heart space and feeling emotionally fulfilled to the point that so much beautiful emotions overflowing from your heart. I'm (26m) not sure what to do at the moment because I feel like I lost my best friend (26f). It's been on and off for this girl and I for the past 5 years, sometimes being closer than anyone else in our lives, other times not having eachother at all. We were just dating and something put doubt into her heart, which made her break up with me. I know I'm not the best person, but I love her more than anything in the world and I would do anything for her. I take her out to eat when she's sad, I watch shows with her when feeling alone, I drive her around when she's anxious, I rub her feet when she's stressed, and I even wash her back when she's upset. I want to give her my everything, and over the past 5 years, we have both admitted that we are eachothers best friend, better than anyone else in our lives. We both have our own problems, and we both and tried to work on ourselves to become the best version we envision ourselves to be, but, and I say this with no malice or ill will in my heart, she's still suffering from things from her past. I just want her to be happy. I just want her to feel loved. I want to be there for her whenever she needs someone, but with her mental state, it's so hard. She's my best friend, and I love her, but it feels like she's slipping away.
