Fun fact the actor who plays the drums is Jack Haley AKA The Tinman from the Wizard of Oz from 1932. My great grandfather met in him once at a club. Told my parents that it was along the greatest honor in his life to meet such a legend RIP Mr Haley.

One of the songs played by the band just moments after it struck the iceberg on the Titanic. Was spoken of being heard in the background by one of the officers (Joseph Boxhall)as he came back up the decks from his inspection of the damage in the fwd compartments.

It's from the 1938 movie "Alexander's Ragtime Band" starring Tyrone Power and Alice Faye, and cost $2,275,000 to produce. The movie takes its name from the 1911 Irving Berlin song "Alexander's Ragtime Band." The film begins in 1915 and features some great shots of the Cliff House in San Francisco, California. The interior of the Cliff House that was built in 1909 was recreated on a Hollywood sound stage for $100,000 which included the importation of seven glass chandeliers from the former Czechoslovakia.
