Tisas guns milled from forgings or billets depending on material. You've been in contact with one of the owners and have forwarded this to our enigineers. If you want to send this back for us to test and inspect, let us know...
I am in contact with someone from your company. And we have not come to an understanding yet. When we do I will make sure to update people.
@@TheJimminiShow I'm in that email chain as well.
Sounds good. I gave the contact a couple concerns and as soon as we x figure out logistics, we'll continue
@@TheJimminiShowupdates?
I hope this helps.
I'm sitting at my desk installing a 507k on this same pistol. Just picked up the pistol yesterday. No shots yet. Waiting for the weekend. The casting/forged deal with the rails is very curious to me. I can clearly see those lines that you showed. It makes me want to do a crosssection cut on one. I'm curious to hear more updates from you about this. I've been running a steel fabrication plant for about 10 years including everything from sales to design to production. 5 of which included a precision machine shop. I see what you see, but knowing what I know, I can't for the life of me figure out why they would ''add'' rail pieces to a cast part. Or, even if they did, I can't understand how it would be even close to being as cost-effective as just machining down an oversized cast rail. I'm not doubting your assertion outright. It's just that my background in that manufacturing space gives me pause. That is a lot of labor and extra steps to pull that off.
Also, another pause I have is the ''pitting''. I've seen many 4140 forgings with pitting. I've actually never seen a raw steel forging without them. Where things go bad from a quality perspective is if the forging is too undersized to machine out all of the surface aberrations. I've seen where that has occurred in order to pinch pennies with both material and especially machining overhead in tooling and labor. It's worth pointing out that all forged steel parts begin with the casting process before pressure and temperature controlls are applied to the material in subsequent production steps.
The only real way to settle this is to have the metal tested for density and structural lattice formation. That is actually simple if you want to destroy the firearm.
We've posted pictures of these in process showing the forgings and machining process each frame and slide go through.
I worked in a metal company as a foundry inspector and I can tell you the pitting is shrinkage from when the metal cools or the metal was not hot enough when it was poured. I would’ve scraped those. I did just purchase this in 45acp and will be looking for all those defects you pointed out. Thank you for your review and keep up the good work.
So was you right or wrong about them being cast???
I'd totally get one when they make them in 45acp or 10mm. I'm very disappointed in them lying about the gun being forged though, I definitely agree with you on that there. Also nice job on the customization looks sharp!
They do.

he meant double stack
@@TheJimminiShow And you are correct Sir!
Have you reached out to them and asked about the discrepancies in the manufacturing that you found? I'm curious what they have to say about it...
Sent an email, so far no response

Fake news
You bought the first gen Faison. The night stalker and the prodigy are the same grip module. The gen 2 Faison triggers are out of stock till June. I ordered one for my staccato c2 and then sent me a gen one. Waiting on the gen 2's.
Thanks for the info!
100% You should take a metallurgy class that's not correct .. Billet also can do this as well .. Id be it rested in them testing sense there calling your bluff ..seems easy way to know if its forged cast or billet
Is there anyway you can make a video showing how to re assemble 1911. I have girscan MC1911SC ultimate 9mm. It’s my first 1911 and I can’t get the take down pin to klip in . I don’t want scratch it all up .
What Holosun broke when it was dropped?
@TheJimminiShow maybe you said and i missed it but what trigger did u use
How do you KNOW 100% that these are not forged? I’m not saying you’re lying yourself, but it’s best to know without a shadow of a doubt before you cast shade on a company with no evidence to back up this claim. I watched the video, but I’m not sold that you are right. You’re literally the only channel or anyone period to say they’re cast and not forged.
I have a final follow up video coming soon.
@@TheJimminiShow Okay. Cool. Wasn’t meaning to come off as harsh. However, I hope you are wrong or else I will be done with the company. Thanks
He never came back about this.
No, Tisas slides and frames are forged, somebody already proved that by cutting one of their 1911 slides in half and put it under a microscope, and they do not bare casting crystal structure, but aligned structure from being hammer forged,
This is likely just strange chatter from whatever machine finished the bottom end of his slide, randomly making a claim that is wildly wrong without even asking the people who made them is inexcusable, SDS imports on this very video went and verified his claims as false (you know the people who make these guns)
This guy won't even make a response video to this because he's objectively wrong and is trying to hide it.
@@deepbludreams Good to know. I have one of their 1911s and was planning on getting another. Thanks for the validation.
I really want a prodigy but this 1911 seems to fit the bill too.
Bought one off the internet for $700 new a month ago. Can’t remember but think it was a gun co in Kentucky if you follow.
Mine is good. no problems. for less than half the price of any other DS 9mm 1911 series 70. nuff said. Some people can be snobs.. The only thing I would do if it can be done is find an extended slide stop sp O cam reach it with stronghold thumb, and a full length SS guide rod. my trigger is tight, no wobble, so I am lucky. thanks for your insight. only thing I do not like is that you forced that aftermarket trigger to work. I would not do that I would save it for something else. Just put factory one back. if you have to do two things to it in order for it to works that's 2 things too many. take it out. it appears to me that there are no grip panels so I am an old stipple guy from way back before it was popular to do. so I'll be doing all my plastic. could use a list of places that affordable parts can be had that would fit my 1911 series 70 DS. It's a lot of gun for the money. Just came in from my.own private range and it shoots circles around most of my striker fire weapons, and I have many. I ahd forgotten how nice the 1911 series 70 shit and felt when shooting. smooth amd the recoil is so soft. that pistol has everything that you need and that you would buy the parts to do already in the pistol for less than half the price of a Prodigy etc etc. granted that pistol is a bit smoother, but more more accurate. so for 750.00 no question a bargain firearm. lies or no lies, it's a great pistol for the money. nuff said
Night stalker for suppressor use, MAC DS for Bull barrel. Thanks
Pasta. My platypus doesn't rattle with the hammer down 😅
I've had good luck with Tisas, but I am a much bigger fan of Girsan. (I'm not into 1911s.) Pahsta
I’m sure you’re knowledgeable, but i’m surprised you don’t have problems with all your guns if you treat them the same you treated that Tisas. Just toss it around, why doncha?
What holster can I rock with this gun cause I wanna carry it and I don’t see tier one tisas options and I love T1
Standard 1911 holster will work
These are most deff billet forged pieces the manufacturing cost to weld on rails would make no sense logisticaly i am 100% gona call you on the BS claim.
Are those cavities due to just casting or poor casting? As in do all casting metal have cavities? Ty!
Most castings have cavities. Bubble and pockets of air pop and reveal the cavities.
Forgings can have imperfections when machined as well. Just need a machine shop to verify if cast or forged. Takes 5 minutes
Did anyone verify if the guns are cast or forged? Any machine shop can tell you in a minute? Am looking at a Tisas NS in 10mm.
Preproduction guns were made from solid billets and production guns are made from forgings. We do not use CAST parts at all.
@@sdsimports are the internals MIM? I have seen videos saying only the recoil spring plug is MIM and the internals are machined/hardened steel? Can you verify this?
@@grantdonley4014 I am not sure on the status of our Recoils spring plugs, been a while since the last tech u[dates, but none of the other internals have been MIM since late 2022.
@@sdsimports I just purchased Night Stalker in 10mm. I’m not sure if it’s under recall or not until I pick it up from my FFL. I live in Tellico Plains, an hour from Knoxville. Instead of shipping can I drop it off to you IF it’s under the recall? Just want to expedite the process.
Pasta!
I want the gun, but I ain't trying to do all this **** just to make it run.
great explanition!!!
Glad you liked it!
Pasta
Like video .
I disagree.😊
LFA Apollo 11
Congratulations, you figured out why it cost so much less. What are you thinking? Lol beside it’s only 9mm what does it mater……
It's $1000.00 that's cheap by 2011 standards, not by gun standards. And why does it matter? If you buy a Diamond for your wife, but it turns out it is glass, does it matter? It's only a ring. It is the principal. And not to be rude, but you're the one who took the time to comment.
No he didn't. He assumed.
Damn SDS
