Absolutely LOVE Sevendust! I've met Lajon several times years ago when I was senior director/general manager of a pretty popular stripclub in the St Louis/East St Louis area! The strip club was called PTs Sports (now called Country Rock Cabaret), and it was directly behind a very popular bar and concert venue called POPS. Alot of bands used pre-game it at the stripclub before their shows at POPS, or come in afterwards and party. Sevendust performed at POPS pretty regularly over the years, and would always come in and party afterwards. Some awesome times! Best goddamn job I ever had!

I’ve known the saying “If somebody falls down what do you do? You pick them up!” Since I was 12 and went to my first rock concert. I was seeing Rob Zombie at Mayhem Festival one year , and saw a large man attempting to crowd surf, but he was too heavy for the crowd to support and they accidentally dropped him on his head. Rob saw this and IMMEDIATELY took control of the crowd, directing them to clear a path so medical personnel could get to the man. He was taken away on a stretcher and he had a brace around his neck. The crowd was almost silent because it was really bad, there was a small pool where his head collided with the pavement. Rob said “stay strong buddy, everyone is rooting for you!” The man raised his hand with the devil horns, letting everyone know that he wasn’t paralyzed and Rob and the crowd cheered again. We Rock/Metal fans treat each other like family. I went to a Cypress Hill concert, got knocked down and almost got trampled to death by the oblivious crowd. Every time I tried to get back up I was knocked down again.I’m also very skinny don’t weigh much so it was difficult, almost impossible to get up.Luckily a man who looked like Terry Crews saw me and literally parted the crowd scooped me up and carried me out of there. He said “ you alright!? Sorry if you’re embarrassed that another grown man just scooped you up like his brand new wife!😂” I said “ hell no! You literally just saved my life, nobody cared or noticed that I was down there except for you,can I give you a hug!” I swear I would have been seriously injured or possibly killed if it wasn’t for that man. God bless you Darryl!
I also had an angel save me at a Flogging Molly concert. I was at the front near the middle stage with my husband. When the band dropped and the fast beat started, I was literally hit by the crowd. By the grace of God, I didn't fall, but I was visibly shocked and couldn't fight out until a woman behind me pushed back the crowd enough for me to make my way to the side line. That probably should have been a red flag for my relationship. Lol, my husband who knew I'd never been to a punk concert, or any concert aside from classical music, didn't even realize I was gone for several minutes and then asked why I didn't want to dance. This reminds me of a concert I went to, I didn’t almost die or anything, but I noticed a guy in the pit and he dropped his wedding ring, I saw it and sprinted in to grab it and kept my eye on the guy to see when he got out of the pit, I think it was a Cavalera Brothers show, and this dude was like 6’4 had a full lumberjack beard, and weighed like 260 pounds of fat/muscle, and I walked up and told him he dropped his ring and I handed it to him, he started profusely thanking me, mind you I’m 5’8 and weigh about 170 pounds, the guy just grabs the back of my head and pulled my face into his chest in a solid 5 second hug, as a straight man, that was the warmest hug I’ve ever had in my entire life 🤣

Every metal show I've ever gone to, if anyone ever falls EVERYONE is so quick to run in and pick them up. I said it then and I'll say it now, metal men are gentlemanly as fuck.
I think metal fans are genuinly the nicest and most caring people on earth. The way they built a small circle around someone who has fallen down and make sure he/her is fine before continuing melts my heart every time at a concert/festival :)
Its because concerts for metal people is a way of life, most of the times its a community. Especially in the hardcore scene. Shows like this or mainstream shows aren't things people do weekly/monthly. So they dont know proper concert etiquette like people who go to local shows all the time.
I have been in a few pits where I was worried as a small dude but still had the ... to jump in anyway and if I fell ther was always so.e scary lookin skin head mo fo who reached out his hand and helped me up
No it isn't... This is basic common sense that anyone would do expect an ego inflated maniac rapper tripped out on on cough syrup and heroin. In which case he'll just hum you a nice auto tuned lullaby as you fade to black with your final breaths.
I went to a disturbed show when I was young in a small venue and some dude did a back flip off the second floor balcony and landed on a table on the edge of the mosh pit and they just kept playing and then David was like "you guys are crazy mother fuckers" after the song ended lol. Wow I got teary. Being hot or maybe having a panic attack instead That’s the vibe I got from this. Soooo many people and getting paranoid out of nowhere and then feeling stuck and like you’re going to die! Plus panic makes you overheat. He recognized this and stepped in. So awesome!!
I was at a concert, standing room, towards the front, my friend and I noticed a girl was starting to freak out looking in every direction with a sense of desperation. We didn’t know what was going on so we worked our way over and asked if she was ok she shook her head, asked if she needed to get out she nodded. My friend and I stood on either side, grabbed her by the arms, and shoved our way out. I’m a tall woman with a general RBF-like presence so it had never occurred to me that someone smaller, she was about 5’ tall, would struggle with the heat in a crowd like that and being shorter, people didn’t even see her enough to respect her space, you know as much as anyone can in environments like that, she was just getting tripped over left and right. This wasn’t even in a scary or rowdy crowd it was pretty tame just moderately hyped. Very eye opening experience.
One time you gave me a whole case of water, because otherwise I wouldn’t have been able to purchase one of your concert shirts. You gave me your shirt and signed it for me. I got to stand up on stage with you, where I enjoyed sitting by the drummer and watching the show. You called me the bearded wonder. You really do have such a big heart!!! ❤️ Edit: Some people don’t believe I was invited on stage to watch his show. I added the proof to my profile videos.
I hated his attempt at Joker, until that is in the last part of the Schneider cut of Justice League, he gave a glimpse at something pretty special, it may not have been the right look for Joker still, but he got the spirit of him alright.
I've been in the pit for Slipknot plenty of times, and Corey has stopped mid song for people struggling. As other have said rule 1 in a pit. Somebody falls, and you pick them up or get them out.

Similar thing happened at NeX-GEn BMTH in London at the O2 back in January on the night I was there. A young lady got pressed right into the barrier just as they started DiE4U; she had a HUGE panic attack and Oli stopped everything to help the security pull her out and calm her down before he jumped back on stage to resume the Gig. I was up in front row balcony and could see everything that happened. Luckily, the young lady recovered and was taken backstage to enjoy the rest of the show. The compassion these musicians can have is incredible - even if they're involved in some shady shit. Like, Leto is a bloody cult leader, but he at least still has humanity and care for his fans.

@@jeffyboi6969you would think it would be human etiquette if you see someone who is fallen in a big crowd… But unfortunately it’s just not. 😢
Wish I could ever meet a lady as cool as you. Where I live, they are all nothing but preppy and stuck-up dumb dumbs.
I have been in a few pits where I was worried as a small dude but still had the ... to jump in anyway and if I fell ther was always so.e scary lookin skin head mo fo who reached out his hand and helped me up

Yes 🙌👏🙌
No it isn't... This is basic common sense that anyone would do expect an ego inflated maniac rapper tripped out on on cough syrup and heroin. In which case he'll just hum you a nice auto tuned lullaby as you fade to black with your final breaths.
For sure. I really like the guy. I wish I liked his music🤷🏼♂️
That's great advice for life...not just concerts.

Security was dealing with it though, guy was alright.

He's not fit to quote Chester. Chester wasn't a pedophile
@@nk-dw2hm The first and only time I got to see LP live they had 30 Seconds To Mars as the penultimate act. That entire set was disgusting the way I remember it. Jared was very full of himself the whole time while feigning this admiration for the crowd and throwing himself at them. Then he puts on a crown for a few songs and was running buck wild through the crowd like he was the king of rock & roll and trying to touch everybody. The sad thing is I know people who have man crushes on this guy.

It's bad PR when people die at your concert. What has that got to do with his performance?

Chapeau mr. Leto.

I think he's awesome. All that talent and looks to go with it. That's pretty cool that he pays attention to the crowd.❤
This is why its important for the singer to be watching the crowd

His role of the joker stabbed me in the eye. Yet, I've never seen anyone care that much for his fans, like he did here. Big respect to J. Leto
I hated his attempt at Joker, until that is in the last part of the Schneider cut of Justice League, he gave a glimpse at something pretty special, it may not have been the right look for Joker still, but he got the spirit of him alright.
This is pretty normal for artists, except maybe travis scott, but you clearly haven't seen that other clip of him being not this nice to his fans
