same! i slipped into a waking dream and thought i was listening to this session in a living room, on TV with a friend... but i was actually in bed by myself, wearing headphones. 😅 Trippy but rejuvenating.
@@the-realla I experienced that too with this Nidra. I woke up and thought I had been asleep in bed and yet I was actually doing the nidra in the lounge. I was also a but trippy in a good way!
Thank you Ally, since discovering yoga nidra about 2 weeks ago I’ve been using your videos morning and night. They helped me get out of a rut, more so than regular meditation. I did this one this morning and feel 10x more energised❤
As always, you are able to take me to a wonderful state of relaxation. I found you when I was going through breast cancer treatment. My anxiety was keeping me from deep sleep and I would wake at 3-4am. Your videos either got me back to sleep or they took me out of my head and into deep states of relaxation. So important for healing! Thank you so much!!
My favorite 17 minute yoga nidra with Ally so far. I real liked starting with the toes and working up as well as incorporating the breathing techniques.

Absolutely loved it. I always do your practices every day since 2021 since I got vaccine injured. I thank you for everything you do. It always feels like the first time. So refreshing, so peaceful and calm. It’s one of my best daily routines next to lots of sunlight, grounding and moving in nature ❤

This was my fave. I am 60 and any daytime sleep just messes up my nighttime sleep. Yours don't have that effect on me and I can still feel rested after plus sleep well at night! Thank you!! ❤

Thank you! I'm in your yoga nidra training. I loved this short practice. Interspersing the pranayama helped me to anchor my focus. It was interesting that you did not start the rotation of consciousness at the mouth.
Very enveloping. I relaxed more deeply than I have for a while, really got into feeling and being. I didn't like the intermittent breathing focus at first, felt like interruptions, but then I remembered that coming out of the hypnagogic state into physical being then back again, deepens the relaxation. Once i realised that, I relaxed even more and released myself into the experience. I now feel deeply relaxed with clarity of mind. Thank you. ❤

I love listening to the shorter practise early in the afternoon ideally around 5pm. It's a lovely way to wind down and relax. That said I listen in the morning & in bed at night too! 😃😂👍

It was actually a doctor who “prescribed” Yoga Nidra (which I first started doing some 13+ years ago in rehab) due to research showing the positive effects on the amygdala. I was really tired & although it’s a bit early for bed (8.45 pm) I reckoned it wldn’t be the end of the world if I happened to nod off. But on the contrary I’m more refreshed now than when I woke up this morning! So tomorrow I’m going to start the day with a 15 minute exercise & see how I get on. Thank you Ally!💕

Could I ask for one longer practice--I suffer from chronic fatigue syndrome, and these brief sessions are not enough for me, so I have to play two to recover my energy. I would love a 60 min. one (without the jungle sounds--they are distracting to me). Thank you for your work ❤.
Yes there are plenty of 60+ minute ones if you use the search function "Ally Boothroyd 60 Minutes" or "Ally Boothroyd Full Length" and I am back from Costa Rica now so there will be a break from the jungle for about 9 months.
@@SarovaraYoga I found two longer ones, but sadly, one is with chimes and the other with highly pitched sounds. I tried them, but they are rather painful for my hearing. All others I found are geared toward insomnia.I second the suggestion for one without music at all. Thank you 💖🙏🏻
Nice and, of course most significantly, effective. I think that this combination of body scanning and also the breathing, at least for me, works really well. So with your sweet guiding voice Ally it Alleviates anxiety and helps in concentration. Greetings from Greece.
