Terence, Love your channel, you have helped me so much with building my project 1978 Mustang King. would you be able to do a video on the driver door hinges? Can these hinges be replaced or can you replace the pins? Do the original hinge pins need to be cut off to replace them with new pins? Where you get the replacement pins from, I can't locate any replacement pins for the 1978.
Thank you. I REALLY appreciate your viewership. As far as the hinges, I would just replace them. It will be hard to find parts (hinge pins). However, you can find the bushings. You can also find some used hinges on eBay.
@@TerenceDIY I have the bushings thats no problem finding. However, in order to replace the bushings I have to remove the pins that are currently on place. How would that be done as the one end has the flat head, and on the other side it looks like it’s pushed in and mushroomed out. This prevents you from sliding out the pin and placing in new bushings. So do I cut them out and look for pins that would fit? Have you replaced the pins on either of you doors of the 1978 mustang?
I have never replaced the pins. You're probably going to have to grind that mushroomed section off and pop the pins out. I am not really sure as I haven't looked into them thus far.
