  • In this video, I show in detail how to replace the heater core in a Ford Mustang II. I also show the internals of both heater boxes that these vehicles came equipped with (The AC and non AC equipped vehicles).
The Ford Pinto and Mercury Bobcat uses the exact same heater core as the Mustang II. With that being said, the removal and installation should be very similar if not the same.

I changed out the heater core on my 1975 mustang that has a/c. That monster barely got out and back in without taking the dash out! Watching your video made it possible as i knew exactly what to expect. Thank you.

Just stumbled on your videos today! Love all the Mustang 2 stuff. I've owned my 78 Mustang since 1980! Was originally 4 cylinder, 4 speed. Drove it until 1990...motor problem. After I retired I completely tore it apart and refurbished and repainted everything! Still has original paint but also has a few dings here and there. Put in a 2.8 L V6 and an 😢automatic transmission. I'm searching desperately to find a standard transmission for the 2.8l. I'm finding their hard to locate in Pennsylvania or nearby . Thank you so much for all your videos! They are a joy to watch. Very informative. One last thing, heads up to you, I have the Ford shop manuals for 1978. The Haynes manual is a direct copy of the info on the Mustang 2 in the Ford manual!

Thank you SO much for watching my content. It really means a lot to me. You are correct about that 2.8 transmission. I had that transmission and someone drove 400 miles to buy it from me.
