I was born in 1964 and have lived most of my life in Prince George, B.C. When I was a kid we would travel frequently on the Parkway to get to my grandparents house in southern B.C. I remember vividly the Athabasca Glacier being 20 feet deep right beside the highway in my earliest memories and watching over the years as it has receded. It blows me away how far it is from the highway now. Nothing in the world compares to the drive down the Icefields Parkway.
Glad that you were able to take in some of our beautiful scenery here in Alberta. The Icefields Parkway is definitely in the top 5 best drives in our beautiful country. FYI...at 10:20 - that is a Raven not a crow. Ravens are intelligent, can be taught to talk and are mischievous as all get out. Come back for a visit soon!
