Makari, it's borderline criminal to make a video with scenery that beautiful, and the hilarious banter with your dad but only 13 minutes. Need an hour long special 😂
Your dads song honestly made me tear up, especially the line “we’re best friends” - so clear through your relationship! He should consider making an album! X
Hi ! I found the song on the channel of Makaris dad. It's "Hockey Bus Memories: On the Road Again" and the channel is "Larry espe". There's many others song, enjoy !
You have become one of my favorite content creators, so quickly. I don't have many people that I immediately click on videos for anymore, but the energy you give off is exactly what I need. And your dad at the end 😭 so sweet!!!
The cutest and loveliest video I have ever watched on RUclips. I enjoyed every second of the 13:38 minutes. Your dad is such a cool and kind-hearted person! ❤
Just wanted to say, i've had the shittiest year. And i was lost in a vortex of depressing content, ranging from true crime to politics, to drama channels. the ending scene of your dad recording himself pulled at my heart strings. you can just tell he loves you and loves the fact that you allowed him to be part of something with you. ❤
I have been estranged from my biological father for roughly 14 years, so please believe me when I say, you have a really great dad. Please cherish him while you can and give him a hug for me 🥹
I haven't seen my Dad in about the same amount of time. Growing up we were very close, but he changed and treated me in a way I couldn't accept. Videos like this make me wish that hadn't happened.
Sending you so much love. This MSG broke my heart 😩 I've had a push and pull relationship with my dad growing up but we're finally learning to accept and cherish each other without expectations now. 🥹
Your dad singing ‚On the Road Again‘ really moved me to tears. My dad died 8 years ago when I was 12 and he was always told he looked like Willie Nelson. So hearing that song sung by your dad made me oddly happy and sad at the same time
I just discovered your channel, and just a few seconds into the video I'm already sobbing, realizing that I badly wanted to take my father for a trip, even for maybe a day or two to enjoy the nature and his company. Unfortunately he's frail and can't move around anymore due to old age. All his life, he worked hard to send to school not just us, his kids, but also our cousins from his side and my mother's. What a selfless man indeed. I love him so much.
I lost my Dad ten years ago. I'm so glad we had experiences like this. Spend time with your loved ones and let yourself be really present for them. You won't regret it.
The fact that almost every single comment in this video is positive is very refreshing, my mental state is deteriorating from all the negativity nowadays
I can't even put into words how likeable you two are - especially with your identical smiles. With parents like that, only a great person could be born!
I don’t know which I love more; the amazing countryside or your adorable relationship with your dad. Road trips like this with my daughters is definitely on my bucket list.
This makes me happy and sad at the same time. Sad because I don't really have a good relationship with my parents. We're so different and they caused me so much trauma by the way the raised me (or the lack of actually raising me) I cannot have a conversation that lasts longer than 5 minutes with them because we have absolutely nothing to say to each other. But I hope that I can build such a relationship with my own children so we can do such amazing things together one day.
Girl it’s so rare you come across a youtube video that’s just a genuine delight to watch. The relationship between father daughter, the cinematography and the sheer vibes?? Thank you so much : ))
Crying happy tears at this gentle loving video. My dad would’ve turned 61 yesterday had he survived his own traumas and his struggle with alcoholism. I don’t have a lot of safe memories with him, but one that makes me miss him is hiking up in Alaska together. I sometimes still feel him when it snows like that, how it did by the waterfall. I’m glad he’s at rest and can try again in a new life, but I also really miss having a father. This was really beautiful and healing to watch and I’m so happy for you two. May you have many many manyyy more happy trips together 🤍🥹
So beautiful to see how close you are with your father. And I even had tears in my eyes because your father said it so beautifully at the end. Your youtube channel is my favorite 😊
I found myself grinning like an idiot throughout this and then was caught out with tears at your dad's sincerity at the end. What a wonderful use of the internet!
I'm tearing up while watching this video the whole time. My dad died when I was 12, and I never got to travel with him alone. Watching you guys enjoy and make memories together on this trip made me miss my dad even more. I hope you'll do this again; it's nice to see you guys enjoying the trip; it kind of heals my inner child missing her dad😊.

I am in tears with his message at the end omggggg. It's SO lovely to see a dad so involved with his kid and it's clear that he loves you so much. I am older than you are Makari, and had a very close bond with my dad for many years. Unfortunately things changed a while ago, and now I live very far away from him. We are not close like before. I stumbled upon this channel just now through RUclips recommendations, and I must say, it’s incredibly wholesome to watch. It makes me yearn for a road trip with my dad, free from the distractions of phones, just the two of us in a beautiful setting.

I absolutely love these videos. I love seeing how much you and your dad enjoy spending time together. Enjoy every moment of these experiences as oftan as you can.
It was the most wholesome video I've seen in a while. The relationship between you and your father reminded me of me and my father. You genuinely inspired me to spend more quality time with my family without technology, thank you for that ❤ I keep forgetting that phones take so much of our time throughout the day and those wasted hours will never come back. At the end of the day you won't remember most of the reels or tiktoks you watched for hours but the memories with your loved ones will live on forever. ❤❤
The wholesome moments between your dad and you in this video make me love and miss my dad. Going to give him a call now to tell him that I love him. ❤ I love your videos!

This is a beautiful family. I love how much love and joy you guys share - and your dad saying this was the coolest thing he did with you BUT also he is not leaving his partner behind and mom needs to join these trips as well just shows how much LOVE there is to go around.
Aweeeeeee. Soooooo gooood! Proud of these two and the impact that is happening!
It gave me so much joy to watch you both on this trip. It was one of the nicest things I've seen on youtube. What a beautiful memory you made together... I cried like a baby in the last bit! Thank you for sharing❤
This video is beautiful! I lost my dad last year and so wish I could go on a trip with him like this! You and your dad remind me a lot of my dad and I’s relationship!
the best dad and the best daughter I've ever seen before you are amazing guys along the video i was smiling and feeling relaxation,, thank u for sharing this amazing trip
I wish I had a dad like your dad. That’s so so lovely.
ok i did not expect to cry watching this... love love loved this so much. the final message in the end from your dad... i'm crying. My dad works and has been working his entire life, so when we do have a change to go for a drive or a walk or a hike i cherish those moments so much. I'm hoping I can do something like this in the future with him. wow... crying
this is so sweet! As a kid I was the designated map-reader while my aunt drove, we would use a highlighter to trace our route on the map before we left to help prevent us from getting lost. I highly recommend it :)
This is a beautiful family. I love how much love and joy you guys share - and your dad saying this was the coolest thing he did with you BUT also he is not leaving his partner behind and mom needs to join these trips as well just shows how much LOVE there is to go around. This type of love is what I wish for honestly. Beautiful. Thank you for sharing Makari.
great bonding with your dad on an old school trip with no phones and only maps for direction. great memories created. hope to see the whole family doing this kind of trip. good luck and keep safe always.
This was so beautiful primarily due to the relationship you have with your father. Treasure what you have with him. What a memory for you both!❤❤❤
Thanks for making me have to hold back tears while I am at work watching this lol. I LOVE your adventures with your Dad, such great memories. As someone who lost their Dad...appreciate every moment!!
I’ve never seen a video of yours and I am so glad this popped up in my feed. What a beautiful video, possibly one of my favorites on this site and I’ve been here since 2011. I see a lot of my dad and I in you both ♥️
He is just a chill guy on a road trip with his daughter
as someone who had a tough relationship with my parents, I cam so moved and utterly happy for you to see you enjoying a great time and having a loving relationship with your parents 💙
I'm not crying, you're crying! (dad video) This reminded me of the trips Dad and I had together. Very happy for you guys!
What a beautiful relationship you have with your Dad
This is so sweet. You guys have made me feel way so happy and warm inside my soul. I would like to do this with my mom as well. Already put it in my bucket list!!
For the past 6-8 months, your channel has been my comfort place on RUclips. I absolutely love all your videos and watch them without ever getting bored. I really admire, and honestly envy, the bond you have with your dad. Great video-not a single minute wasted!
I just want to say this video has made me feel so many emotions, and I loved every second of it. What you and your dad have is incredibly special. I don’t have the same relationship with my parents, but I absolutely loved having a window into your world. Came for an interesting video about no phones, was blown away by your insight into a beautiful father/daughter relationship. You produce wonderful content ❤️ also, living for the Wes Anderson style shot of you both on the ferry facing each other.
this was so wholesome to watch and made me remember that it’s our parents’ first time living too. now i want to go on a trip with them and make memories just with them, no distractions, just like the good old days
I was smiling throughout the video. It is such a dreamy, wonderful clip-so amazing. Great job on the content, filmography, editing, and music choices. It was like watching a short movie. I really loved it.
Hey thank you so much! This is so kind
Wow, this is fantastic! 😊 It's wonderful to see that Dad has kept up with his meditation practice since the screen time video. Love seeing you both spend quality time together❤
Lost my dad when I was 21, I hope to be like him and your dad one day, making memories like these with my future kids
This video made me realize how most of my family trips were not feel as connected as it supposed to be, we were busy taking photos, posting on social media whatsoever that we forget what it actually supposed to be. Also, this could be a wholesome idea the reconnect with my pa, no social media exposure, just pure connection between daugher-father. Thank you for sharing your heartwarming holiday bits, it warms my heart like no other
this should be nominated for short film cat in Oscars!
Oh my. Your dad is absolutely precious. You all are. What lovely people you guys are. So fun. And those hotels were all beautiful! Thank you for sharing.
