Thats the best part of hiking is being able to be apart of something that is so much bigger than yourself. The ultimate observer. This makes me want to go to Canada even moreee!!
Heck ya! Always wanted to head up there, thanks for taking us along. The boulder tunnel up Orient Point is something else that needs to be experienced.. 😮
Jenna, I'd like to tell you that your videos have been a blessing, I'm going through some shiiii these past years and I've been feeling really out of place because I love being active and outdoors and none of my people are like that, so that can feel really alienating seeing you do all these things all by yourself and being that happy is like a wake up call to me, so I'd like to thank you for uploading these. I'll try to be more like you

@@JustinOutdoors Hey man thank you, it’s much appreciated! My boyfriend and I have seen your videos as well, and love to see your adventures & insights! Stay safe :)
Interesting that the ice mushrooms are straight further in but nearer the entrance are all chaotic; I wonder if that is to do with more air movement nearer the entrance and stillness deeper in?
man I want to experience something like this soon, in New Jersey rn so not much I can do lol. Want to travel up there and hike like you are here. You've convinced me to take a trip to Canada and do this!
Hi Jenna, gorgeous area, and nice camera work. If you have never been to Bow Lake, my friend and I went there, up the Icefields parkway, we stayed in Num-Ti-Jah lodge, oh my God that is a great place, and you can hike up to the glacier and camp up there, I think. Safe travels
Thank you so much! I actually did a cycling trip on the ice fields parkway last summer and was floored by the views of bow lake! Great tip about the glacier camp I’ll have to check that out, thank you :)
@@jennalexisko of course, I did forget to mention Siffleur falls trailhead off the David Thompson highway. Wow the walk was pretty easy but ridiculously scenic.
Growing up in Golden, I remember seeing so many of these caves when my family would drive to Calgary. Always wondered what it would be like checking them out, and now I know they are just as awesome as I imagined they would be. Thanks for sharing!
Wow This experience really amazing, what a view, lovely nature, love it,💚💚💚 When i saw this video that time i feel like I'm lost, really relaxing and peaceful my friend 🥰🥰😊🙂🙂🙃❤️❤️💚 Thanks for sharing 💚💚❤️❤️
I love the pants that you're wearing and I was wondering what brand they are :) I've been having trouble finding the right hiking pants for me, and those just look so nice and cozy! I just discovered your channel and I love how peaceful your videos are, they just make me want to go on more adventures!
im also from BC and love this, your videos inspire me to get out there and enjoy nature more, I feel like we really do get sucked in and stuck in the day to day of our lives and forget to just enjoy the simple things :)
My admiration for you grows with each one of your newer videos! I wouldn't go alone all by myself out there without my Colt. You seem to simply go and enjoy it that easy! My compliments to you!!! Beautiful video, great place and awesome adventure!!! Thank you for sharing!!! 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
about 12-yrs ago my wife and I experienced a similar warm sunny, snowy day in Peter Lougheed Park. We followed a x-country ski trail up a bit (were old so not an epic hike) and enjoyed similar vistas, so beautiful and one of my favourite memories.
Hey! I just found your channel, and I love it! You have absolutely inspired me to get outdoors more. Have you ever considered doing the Pacific Crest Trail?
Beautiful winter scenery mountains plus love the awesome ice. This is a superb idea to write a screenplay that I've already started. 12:03 Jenna eats an apple makes perfectly scene. Thanks for sharing this awesome content and I just subscribe to the channel. 😁🤘
Wow, those ice formations look so organic! As I was watching I was thinking "they look like fungi" then you called them ice mushrooms, and I'm like yeah! Ice mushrooms! Or maybe ice coral? 🤔 So cool exploring this cave hidden in this BEAUTIFUL landscape. Awesome video.
this was great! so nice you have the chance to do that kind of stuff! i would looove to! love the video, the landscapes and everything! you seem so nice!
Ing's Mine! I've done a lot of hikes, but this ice cave was by far the COOLEST I've ever done. You have to go back around April when the ice mushrooms have risen even higher, some were even taller than me! It was surreal, like walking into a video game
I’m very fearful but open to trying new things. So I have a question, how do you overcome the fear of being in the wilderness alone? As a 19 yr old, I’m not as independent I’d like to be.. I feel that when I go out on walks alone I feel good and relaxed. In the forest I think i’d be afraid of being there all alone. The only times I’ve gone hiking to national parks and the mountains, is with other people. I was never alone. This leads to my other question.. how to get into hiking as a beginner? Like what advice do you have on that ? What do you recommend when it comes to hiking Equipment, shoes, clothes etc..
@@ceciliaaflores honestly I don’t think it was natural to me at first either, if you can I would suggest going out on hiking/backpacking trips with other people first! Because at least that way you’re familiar with all the gear/safety stuff you need, how to use everything, and how the process goes. and then once you’re more comfortable with the outdoors it will be a lot less daunting to go out by yourself! Also make sure you’re aware of what animals/possible threats there are where you intend to go! And honestly my best advice for a complete beginner is to just start doing it girl!! Go out hiking with your friends as much as you can and things will start to come more naturally. Please do make sure you have safety measures before you go though! A Garmin mini or some kind of emergency gps devices is something I always have on me because it allows you to call for help even if there’s no cell signal, Also a decent first aid kit, bear spray, and extra layers and water/food in case of emergencies. Those are the basics and you can build up your kit from there :) I hope this was a little bit helpful, at 19 i hadn’t ever hiked out alone anywhere either, I don’t think that means you’re not independent, and definitely don’t rush yourself to doing anything you’re not comfortable with. your comfort in the outdoors will come with experience ❤️
No way me and my buddy made a video for my little channel there a couple weeks ago! We actually wanted to camp in it but realized that would be a bad idea 😅 ended up cowboy camping in the valley right below. Thanks for the vid!
wonderful video in the pure rocky mountain fresh air, very smart of you Jenna to take spikes on your footwear and helmet for the cave. those things look like they are created by water dropping from the cave ceiling and forming on a rock below freezing and then repeats with more drops of water. (just a guess) very interesting video, i am sure someone like "Professor Brian Cox" or "Simon Reeve" would love to do an adventure like this and explain all the natural ice formations etc. I must say Jenna, you are making better and better videos, i think you have what it takes to do this for TV production, talk about nature, animals, planet etc. glad you have a sponsor, that jacket / hoodie really suits you. I wonder in the summer if any Rock Climbers go there to bolt a route or make a boulder problem?
I love the Canadian landscape but as a European, I´m always afraid of bears....wouldn´t they typically hide in such a cave over the winter? Do you prepare for an eventual encounter? Very curious....In Europe I´m mostly scared of men (as a woman), but in Canada it would be a bear haha.
Totally fair lol! I always have my bear spray on my hip so I can reach it at any time! This is also a designated trail with constant traffic of people- the noise and smell of which tend to deter bears from the area, but I still keep an eye out just in case!
How long did it take? Like it seems you have had a bunch of daylight and it took you a while... what time did you start? Loved the video, inspired me to start some shit tooooo
