I need to find a small plot of affordable land in my area and not having any success at all. Why is there dating site comments in your chats? The last two times I have commented . Someone posts a dating thing under it. Wasn't sure if you noticed it.
This was one of the realest tours I've seen. This woman got divorced when her 3 children were young, worked hard to raise them and as a result couldn't save for retirement BUT she didn't just lay down and die. She found a way to be able to enjoy her latter years and retire comfortably. I commend her for that and applaud her for doing what she had to do because she's not the only one that has been through this but she was real enough to be honest and this will help others going through the same thing. I wish her all the best.
Realistic? 😋 You just gave a summary of the whole video in one paragraph. Tiny home owners should hire you to do their interviews. They would certainly be a lot shorter lol.
Personally, I would love to know what her ex-husband was doing during the years she was raising the 3 children by herself. Was he helping with child support or anything while she was struggling to raise the children? I do commend her for what she was accomplished but I just want to know how much the ex was doing to help with his children.
I love that you can tell she LOVES her pets. So much space in her tiny home dedicated for them. Its a beautiful space. I hope she has a long and happy retirement here.
The absolute BEST tiny home video I’ve ever seen. This lady is a true inspiration. She should be SO proud of herself. She has a gorgeous home and yard.
Perfect! I was going to comment, but you said exactly what I was thinking!! And the shed is a definitely plus and the outdoor space is an extension of her living area. I would also eat out there. LOVE IT!!
She exudes feeling right at home in her tiny place. I love the cheery interior and how she has everything arranged. And nothing wrong with "cheating" with a shed, great idea! Nice to see someone so content with where they live.
At 56 built my tiny home... got rid of my 3 bedroom home and all my nonessentials. I love it.. been here 4 years with no mortgage or high upkeep costs and my only regret is that I didn’t do it at 46. My monthly cost of living is less than $300/ mo. I am close to my son grand grandson
That's really inspiring! I'm in my early 40s, so hearing you say you wish you had gotten started at 46 has got me thinking! May I ask where you live that your expenses are only $300? That's incredible!
Leasa. I’m a single girl 49 in Alabama as well. What kind of land are s your tiny home on ? Who built it etc. I’m thinking of doing this since I can barely survive financially
@@flowerchild5701 My tiny home is on .6 acres on a rural county road. I bought it from my son . Left it in his name and put my tiny home there because I will leave it to him anyway. My home is 14x 40 with a 10x 12 screened porch on the back and small deck on front. My total cost was $28,000. I love it .
All you need in one small homestead. She's lucky to have found someone that can let her rent the land to live on. It's as big as any land under a large home. I love the landscaping she did and her large shed and patio area that give her so much more space.
I get it ! At 57 I paid cash for an "as is" tiny condo and spent the next 5 years fixing it. I'm all in at about 60K . No 401, but also...No Mortage 🤷🏽♀️. We do what we need to do. Great job with the lovely tiny. Enjoy your success sister !
I love her kitchen! Makes so much sense to have a washing machine instead of a dishwasher, especially for just one person. If I were single I’d seriously consider a tiny home.
@@rachelyates7713 She's a smart cookie! Looks like she has a smart daughter too! Make sure you spent lots of quality time together at her beautiful place! Her home is super - her back deck and outdoor living area relaxing and welcoming!
@@anthonydowling3356 We don't know the details regarding the land she's on - you know what - she does! Like I said, she's a pretty sharp cookie so I believe she was smart enough to choose wisely!
I’m 56, no 401k, no retirement, no savings. I got a comment one time “You should have chosen better.” Yeah…I should have, but sometimes the journey you’re on, you’re simply surviving and trying to make sure the people you have to take care of are taken care of. When it’s taking every penny you’ve got, and then some, just to survive…there’s nothing left to put away or invest. Never judge someone when you don’t know the whole story, is the moral to that story…. On another note: I absolutely adore this home!! Something like this would be dream come true. 💯❤️❤️❤️❤️
Thanks for your vulnerability and sharing this comment. It's a great reminder for us all to approach others with empathy, realizing we may not know the whole story. And we're so glad you found some inspiration in this home! We'll be rooting for those dreams to come true. 😊
You’re a survivor! Thank you for opening your home to us. I’m a divorced woman - 56 - planning to do what you have done and your video has been very helpful to me. I’m going to sell my home and free myself of the high property taxes and annual maintenance and upkeep of an older, larger home. Very inspiring! 🙏🏼♥️
Love this! I sold my suburban home after my youngest moved out this spring. Used the equity to buy a small ranch in a adorable small town. Now mortgage free. I knew I couldn't afford my old home in retirement, no savings after raising my kids on my own. They kept raising the taxes in the city. Best choice ever, no more stress.
@@johnswigler6512 just because a person has a job doesn't mean they have the means or capability to save any money. They may only make minimum wage a just a bit over. Thank God I don't/didn't rely on others. Take your two cents and put it here 🗑
She is absolutely adorable and smart. Her house not even looks tiny, because she has everything that is important in her life, what I liked the most, is the love she has for her pets and wild.
For those of you wondering about when she is older and the stairs....My husband and I both turned 80 in 2021. We live in MO, thus we have a finished basement with laundry. We have two rails for our stairs. I have back and hip issues, but still go up and down stairs. She may be just fine for a very long time. 🤗
Just a thought which I'm thinking about. I am also a smidge older and have laundry in my basement. I'm thinking of installing something like a dog gate or something halfway down the stairs - something innovative so IF I take a small tumble or whatever, the closed gate can stop my fall down a couple of steps rather than a full break my neck or back fall all the way down my steps. Just a safety option. GOOD FOR YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
@@maggiegray8046 get a bone density test, found I have osteoporosis. I now take meds once a week, and calcium supplement. Also leg weights to strengthen leg bones. Women who lose estrogen..(bones weaken),when we get older, are in danger of hip fractures more than men. I live in a one story house for 30 years 🌴😘.no basement or attic #💗
I also have laundry in my basement family room and a spare bedroom I am 67 but I rarely set in my family room so I only go downstairs once a week she has to go up the stairs daily I think having a bedroom on the main level would have been a much better choice and use the upstairs for storage
Or maybe not. Everyone is different. She could have a fall and hurt her hips, back or legs. She could develop hip or knee issues as she ages. I would want a bedroom on the first floor.
I'm now in my 60's and am in the same financial position due to the same reason. Thank you for sharing your retirement home I'm glad to see it is do-able, comfortable, and beautiful.
I have seen probably a hundred different tiny home tours and designs and setups, and this is the best one by far. Her deck and the paver stones and gravel to keep the dirt down is absolutely brilliant. I am so proud of this lady and I thank her so much for sharing this because there are many of us older ladies who really do not have much of a retirement fund to rely on. Well done!
I'm glad you were able to get a tiny home. I had a beautiful 2 story new house when I was married. My husband left and I raised 2 sons. Single moms are resilient and we have to be self reliant than other moms. I live in a studio and rescued 2 feral cats that are so delightful and fun to have around. May your new beginning be blessed and full of peace & joy.
I love this lady's setup. It is efficient, attractive, and looks super easy to maintain. The auxiliary shed is a great idea, could even serve as a tiny studio for an artist or writer. Love the dog kennel and fenced in yard too! This is pretty close to my tiny home dream arrangement!
This house is so cute and looks so charming. I don't think I could sleep in that bedroom though, the ceiling is too low for me. If I ever get a tiny house I would have to have a bedroom I could stand up in.
@Connie Lott How do you know that? There are three windows and the one at the head of the bed could easily be an egress point. She probably has an emergency ladder just like any other multi level dwelling.
This is the most livable tiny house and outdoor property I’ve ever seen. I absolutely love everything you’ve done. I also love that you had the courage to sell it all and let go of it- and I’m impressed that you are not all intimidated by the mountains lions. 😀 Inspiring!!
I love it. My only thing is I think she should have got a model with a first floor bedroom. I think it will serve her better as she gets older. It other wise great location, great design and great idea with the shed!! The shed was a great hack!!
She has created such a wonderful home for herself. I really enjoyed seeing how she organized her home and hearing her thought process on what she really needed and what she could do without.
I can relate to her story! Having been married and starting over at almost 40 then another failed marriage, I had some money put away but not enough to last. I purchased a mobile home in a beautiful community in Washington State, two years ago, when I retired. No mortgage rented lot and enjoy the mountains, ocean and farms. You do what you have to do to make life what you want and need it to be. My only issue is her stairs, I couldn't live in a two story like her.
It is wise to not have a two story in the senior years because aging changes of the body will start and continue. I am 65 years, ten months and 19 days as of this comment. I am physically and mentally able and prefer to live on a first floor if there is not an elevator and live in a one story place to reduce the wear and tear on my knees and other body parts. I enjoy living in a small apartment. The daily maintenance allows me to spend quality time reading, watching and listening to videos of people all around the world. I get to look back and appreciate as well as be grateful and thankful for all the steps that I did. Thanks for this RUclips video. Thanks for reading my comments. Smiles
the tiny house is cute and clean and functional, very nice. but the YARD is AMAZING!! for me living the vanlife with a dog, i know that keeping my 'house' clean is such a challenge, one of the very, VERY few downsides of this lifestyle for a clean freak. today it's raining in the desert here, and every time i want to go out it's a production to come back in without me and the dog bringing dirt inside. her deck, the pavers, the fake grass, and the rocked space, all inside the fence that leaves the views intact- all make for, in my mind- such a wonderful extension of living space plus a ~clean house~. i love it.
She did say her house is on land she pays rent for. Maybe that could be done? Rent a fenced in space, big enough for your van and a yard? Or if you are able to, buy a lot of land you can come back to.
@@willowsprite lol, i vastly prefer my free rambling dusty vanlife for now, but if i ever decide to live at one spot again, i'll create a 'dirt buffer zone' like this clever lady.
What an awesome job she has done with this tiny home oasis! After all she has been through and sacrificed…..she deserves this happiness I wish her great health, longevity and a very blessed life😊

How much less stress people could be under if they cut their house in half.. I chose to put 65k down on a $100,000 place versus buying a $200,000 place. My 15-year mortgage is taking me 3 years to pay off as a result. I have 11 payments left. It will allow me to put away 30% of my net income into retirement once this is paid off. People think big homes will make them happy and save their marriages. When in fact smaller places are less stressful. Your place is absolutely beautiful thank you for sharing it. And the backsplash and kitchen completely rock.
I love this! You are me...and how many others? Single, older women, probably divorced...I am there and have been researching this for the last two years. Living in Western PA....not much available for those of us that want a standard of living and are over 55. Not where I am anyway. I am currently separated and used to living in a very nice home.. This area used to be a farm area but is now catering to the rich and housing is not attainable for those of us who grew up here...in our older years. Would love to talk to you about how you did this, etc.
Wonderful home for you and your fur babies!! Love the house but the use of the outside area is fantastic! And the 10x10 shed is genius!! Love the freezer, shelves and the winter clothes space. Also the availability of a crafting area. Brilliant!!
Hilary, I have looked at a lot of videos of tiny homes over the past few years but I think your home “knocks it out of the park!”: it’s cozy, has room for everything, takes into account your pets needs, is in a beautiful location. Your property, decor and shed are first class. Well done, Hilary. You have a lot to be proud of. Is your dog an Australian Cattle Dog/Blue Heeler?
I agree, and I've looked at maybe 75 small home videos over the past year. All of them were missing something. But these tiny house tours, 3 so far including this one, were stunning and close to ideal Check our Tiny House Tours Georgia The Hermitage, two guys in a stunning property, and the Texas woman in her orange recliner--two great examples of how you can customize to get your ideal space, while using some of the same tricks and ideas as others.
I love how spacious her tiny house is. I am planning to get a tiny house. 2022 is my year to get rid of my stuff to make the transition smoother. I'm not retirement age. I thought about who is going to clean out all my stuff when I'm dead? The realization came that I want to leave not too much behind.
I admire you and the unique changes you weren't afraid to make...cat condo, etc. I really appreciate your creativity with your outdoor space to accommodate you, guests and your sweet pup! Well done!
I absolutely loved this visit & Tour. What a lovely person, with a happily comfortable & perfect life she has created for herself! I am going to take her advice and follow her plan for my retirement. I’m very grateful for her kindness and her wisdom. Barbara Leon
I find in everyday liiving we tend to store stuff, we no longer have use for and if I was to downsize to a tiny home, well I believe the charity shops dotted about my City would prosper from what I could give them. Its a nice homely place you have there, tastefully decorated and welcoming for a retirement person such as yourself. Cheers for sharing and Happy New Year.
I think Hillary's house is the best tiny house I've seen so far. Her sense of how to organize the layout of her house according to her needs is spot on. I love her landscaping and especially her shed. ❤❤❤
Your home is beautiful! Thank you for sharing your story. I also raised my kids alone and never remarried so I have a very similar situation as you. I am still 8 years from retirement but I am beginning to shop for land that I want to convert into a tiny home community including a small container home for myself. I will have money for retirement but then I realized I could take steps to help make more retirement more financially comfortable. So thank you for being a source of information.
Make sure the land is zoned for residential property. You can buy land out in the middle of nowhere and it's still not zoned to put a dwelling on. Good idea to start planning now. Back in the crash of 2008 I bought land with 3 ponds in Tennessee with pasture, a barn and wooded area. It was $600. an acre and I got 19 acres. I figured the pond for fish, also proved to have a high water table so I could have a well. I retire this year and decided to stay in my condo. As I get older I find value in comfort accommodations.
@@eckankar7756 That is very good advice! Good luck with your land. I am in Sweden and that is one of the first things my research revealed was to verify the land is zoned properly AND if it will require services like electricity and water. So while I am still saving money, I am planning and learning where, how and what is required. I want a good plan before going to a bank or making a purchase.
I love this tiny home and it's such a good idea to have a shed especially when you have a tiny home. So much more space to put your things. Good on her for living her best life now and not allowing anyone to hold her back from this.
I really like this tiny home and especially the lot that it's situated on. Good information in the video, however, unless I missed something I never heard a mention of the Builder of this home or exactly where she's renting this magnificent lot that her house is sitting on. Some of the most valuable information for those of us considering living in a tiny home is the builder, the cost, the size, and the location and monthly rent for the lot/space the house is sitting on. So many tiny homes have become unaffordable for us and tiny home communities are full with a waiting list. I hope laws will change to allow tiny home communities and the ability to park tiny homes on a piece of land that you own or rent from someone. No tiny homes are allowed anywhere near my current location. As we age, we need to be able to get to our doctors, shopping, etc. I don't want to live in the middle of nowhere, but I love these tiny homes.
It is a lovely tiny home, and she presented it very well. I only wonder how well its design will work when she is in her late 70s and beyond. I hope to build my tiny home next year, but don't believe in lofts that require crawling in especially those you can't fully sit up in for any back or knee issues. The patio and deck are also great spaces.
I was thinking the same thing. Kneeling won't be so great in a couple of years. Hopefully the downstairs can be converted/extended to make spake for a bed.
Elevator Bed! Problem solved! Bed up during the day, down for sleep. My friend is looking at one for her single-wide 1 bedroom so when she can no longer climb up to sleep in her loft, her bed comes down to her.
I love living in an apartment, and in a secure building, so I pay rent, but it is $850 less per month, and includes all utilities, wifi, and maid service. I order my groceries online for home delivery.
Congratulations for being successful in retirement! You have everything that makes you happy and obviously cared for children sacrificing your needs/wants for them, bravo to you, you deserve everything you have now!
I absolutely love this design. I am 70, so having a handrail would be a must for me. I love fresh vegetables, so may have made room for a small veggie garden or even a small greenhouse (critter proof).
OMG! I'm in love with her set up. I've watched hundreds of tiny house videos and I've found good things about the majority of them. That being said, this one is truly amazing. I, too, am behind the Eight Ball with my retirement and have been saving to build a tiny. I love just about everything about her set up except for the sleeping loft. My knees would not like it and I know that I'd break my neck going to the bathroom at 2:00 a.m. I think that I'd have to have more head room in the loft area and make it into a work/crafting space in which a sitting in a chair would be comfortable up there and sleep downstairs. This lady is living her best life and I'm glad for her. Thanks for sharing.
Same here. No child support from dead beat daddy so I managed a safe home in good neighborhood but no saving. Now retired trying to figure out a home I’ll be happy in. Thanks for sharing.
I’ve been looking at downsizing for years. I absolutely love your set up and I think this is going to be the model I work from. Only change is I will need one level since I have trouble with stairs. LOVE IT.
I’m also divorced n raised 3 children alone, 6,10 & 12. Struggled just to keep a roof on the table, but eventually I managed to buy my townhouse 3/2 Family. All my kids grown n married, I now have 7 grandchildren n I end up staying over their homes often while giving my kids a break. I rented my townhouse n made the family, a studio or what I like to call, “my tiny home”. Full kitchen & bathroom n bdrm w office. Everything I need for the moment, my grandkids love it…❤️❤️❤️
The outdoor space, fenced in yard and sizeable shed really make this place feel like a regular home. Seems like a great arrangement. Great job landscaping and thinking of what her animals needed. Would miss not having a bigger table, but glad it works for her.
I love your home..your yard has everything you need and it's fenced in....that's great...the extra storage outside is awesome..you worked hard raising 3 kids and now it's your time to relax and no mortgage payments....lots of luck 🎈🎈🎈🎈
I love that she is settled now and is planning to retiring there. People have such beautiful places to have them moved . Of course it depends on whether you what I a tiny is for. At retirement I want to be living in a small place around other places like
The storage and the yard makes the difference for this tiny house. I have seen many videos on tiny houses. This is by far the key to survival in a tiny house.
Good plan. She would have a good pension one would think since she worked for the government. Very pretty house. The only downside is the very, very low ceiling. When she's 90, she will not be crawling around in the bedroom.
I'm very impressed with the layout of your home. I thought I wouldn't be a good fit for a tiny house but after watching this I have a change of mind. Thank you Ma'am. ❤️❤️
Thank you for letting us into your life. You have a very nice house. I love how you often mentioned your cat and dog. People that are animal lovers are wonderful people.
I think this has got to be THE most welcoming tiny home I've seen by far. She has made it so cozy and airy! Also, I do believe she's also found the fountain of youth! I hope I look like her at 68! ❤️
That is one of the best homes I saw, the lady shows so much love to her animals , it was beautiful, I saw other tiny home that the lady got his roof put higher because she was getting old and she was in a permanent park, so I see so much advantage in this kind of life, is not fair that someone worked so hard and had 3 children and was worried about his old age, not good, thanks that she got it right.
You have great taste in your Tiny Home. It all looks comfortable and cheerful - with space for a washer/dryer. Lots of room for your animals to roam and they also have their comfortable spaces. The deck and yard are added places to sit, relax and feel FREE - with all the room in your shed for storage. Very well designed Tiny House. I'm older and could never enjoy the bedroom with low ceilings. Glad it works for you. Happy Retirement.
Do you realise how beautiful your home is?? I'm drooling!! The design is so amazing....how you managed to create so much space in a little space is amazing. You're so organised and detailed. Your home is excellent and perfect. What a cosy comfortable home. I love it!!🥰😍❤️

Love stairs & this one looks safe . in my 79th year now after 2 knee injuries ,stairs keep me flexible. Climbing up & downstairs is great ,especially if walking outside isn't particularly good that day.
This a perfect tiny house and tiny house tour. She is smart and positive...she really made her dreams happen. I loved that she’ has lived there 3 years! Yes this lady knows what she’s doing! Excellent video!
Ingenious on the kitty condo. Very nice to give extra attention for the cat to have a safe space to retreat too. Very nice and comfortable home. Love this place. Thank you for sharing this gem of a home. HUGS and GOD bless us everyone

I've always been fascinated by tiny homes and yours is absolutely GORGEOUS!!! The only thing I may have an issue with the loft bedroom, not the size of the room, not the bed, but the low ceiling. I would be so afraid that I would wake up and hit my head on it, but I guess it's just a matter of getting use to! Beautiful and very tastefully decorated.
Yeah, tiny homes don't usually cost much less to build than full-size houses. Especially this one, which looks pretty fancy. She might be saving some money on taxes and HOA by building out in the middle of nowhere, but on the flipside tiny homes typically depreciate in value instead of appreciating like regular houses, so she's losing some money that way too.
@@toddjh apparently she’s not worried about “losing” $ 🤷🏻♀️ She choose to live like this (like majority that choose this lifestyle) to SAVE $ ! Think of how many people these days are paying out the arse for rent & mortgage smh U can’t take $ or houses with u when it’s ur time ! Also… they’re WAY less to build & maintain then average/above average size houses
@@toddjh No, that's a bit of a misconception because all houses depreciate. The only difference is being on a foundation ties it to the land the local economy and that's what can appreciate. Just not always as being tied to the economy means it can go in either direction, which is one of the reasons we had the housing bubble crash in 2008 devastate so many. Just as how now the value of properties has jumped... Like the stock market, a lot can depend on the timing of when you sell... But, regardless, you do have to compensate for the house depreciating eventually with all houses, which is why houses need to be renovated/remodeled, especially before being sold or when you intend to flip the property for more than you bought it because making the house like new erases the depreciation and allows it to sell for full market price range. Besides, tiny houses can be tied to land where they've adopted Appendix Q from the 2018 IRC as that can let you place it on foundation... Also states that allow Tiny Houses to become ADU's also ties it to the property value... While even staying on wheels, being built like a house means it built to last a really long time and homes never go out of style. So the depreciation will be very slow, and at times like now with higher material prices, supply chain issues, high demand for housing, etc. some are even selling for higher than they originally sold for... Then there's the point of saving on long term costs, which is the actual biggest difference between tiny houses and larger houses... The average home owner is spending over $9000 annually on just maintenance and basic home owners costs nationally. By the time most pay off their mortgage and sell the home they've actually spent multiple times the original purchase price of the home. While most properties usually don't appreciate much more than the rate of inflation. So, if you actually factored all costs it's a net loss for most home owners... It's really the banks, government, and realtors that make profit off the housing market... So there's a big difference in the reality of costs vs what people think by only comparing the purchase to sale price... Since, you're paying a lot for heating and cooling, furnishings, appliances, repairs and maintenance, insurance, property taxes, water and sewer, cost of living, etc. Virtually all of which is significantly reduced for a tiny house, like a monthly electrical bill can be as low as $20 for some in a Tiny House... Never mind you can move a tiny house away from things like a forest fire, severe storms, etc. that could cost a lot more in damages to regular houses and insurance will only cover so much... Thus it's not as simple as most people seem to think when comparing tiny houses to regular houses... Besides, Tiny houses cost a lot less than equivalent built large houses. If you built a large house with 9-11 windows, to passive house standards, with a kitchen and bathroom, living room and bedroom in every 200 Sq Ft of say a 2000 Sq Ft house, you'd be looking at a home that is over a million! Basic tiny houses go a lot lower, a lot of people just choose to use their savings to get a nicer home than they otherwise could afford... Like switching from a cargo ship to a luxury yacht, the yacht may be a lot smaller but there's a reason why there's a price difference that goes beyond just its size... Seriously, custom built houses typically start 50% higher in costs and can easily go over 4x higher as that's usually the most expensive way to get something built... Tract homes are the cheapest because they're basically mass produced, up to entire neighborhoods of essentially the same house with maybe minor differences in paint colors, etc. So, if you're going to compare, make sure it's an equivalent comparison otherwise it's not a valid comparison... Like comparing a Bugatti (worlds most expensive car) to a Honda Civic (budget car) is definitely not going to be equivalent or relevant to most people...
More and more people are downsizing to save for retirement! Are you in the same boat?

LOVE IT!!

Going tiny was best decision for myself.
Love this! I sold my suburban home after my youngest moved out this spring. Used the equity to buy a small ranch in a adorable small town. Now mortgage free.

But maybe not. I hurt an ankle and was done for a month. And I'm not 80.
The large freezer in your shed is a great idea. It frees up space in your home and allows you to batch cook and freeze the meals. Excellent!
I have a chest freezer, it's so handy to pack full of sale items and save trips to the store.
excellent idea...
this. I batch freeze meals and I was wondering how folks in tiny home so this. I am planning to do this in the next 2 years and getting lots of ideas!
What a lovely person, she has given so much space for her dog and cat, you can judge the character of a person in how they treat animals.

I’m younger than she is and already my knees would not be able to crawl around the bed. I would need a standing bedroom downstairs.
I couldn't either. I would need a standing up bedroom.
Love a cozy higher bed. Moving my body keeps me flexible.

I love it. My only thing is I think she should have got a model with a first floor bedroom. I think it will serve her better as she gets older. It other wise great location, great design and great idea with the shed!! The shed was a great hack!!
I agree.
She indicated she has to utilize fairs for the bathroom located on her first floor.

To each their own
what works for her doesn't have to meet YOUR needs
Don't forget - she's smart and savvy- she has a way to turn her sofa into a twin bed if she wants to or would need to at some point in her life.
She has created such a wonderful home for herself. I really enjoyed seeing how she organized her home and hearing her thought process on what she really needed and what she could do without.
I will be very very proud of her if she’s my mom..
she’s absolutely adorable. Godbless her and her lovely home..
I am! My mom is the greatest!
Smiles
Do you own the lot? Hubs and I thought of that route but with so many Mobil home communities being sold to investors- it scared us off
May I ask where in Washington? I'm looking to move there and am thinking about a tiny home as a possibility.
the tiny house is cute and clean and functional, very nice. but the YARD is AMAZING!! for me living the vanlife with a dog, i know that keeping my 'house' clean is such a challenge, one of the very, VERY few downsides of this lifestyle for a clean freak. today it's raining in the desert here, and every time i want to go out it's a production to come back in without me and the dog bringing dirt inside.
her deck, the pavers, the fake grass, and the rocked space, all inside the fence that leaves the views intact- all make for, in my mind- such a wonderful extension of living space plus a ~clean house~.

Hello Jeanine
How are you doing today?

@@debbielockhart7762 I think that depends on where one is located. I am learning the rules here in Sweden.
The shed was a Great idea!👏👏👏👏👍👍👍👍
First tiny I've seen with a separate freezer...so essential! Also well done color choices with the cabinets and tiles in the kitchen.

Very nice. I don’t think I could handle the loft bedroom. Changing my bed on my knees would be difficult.

Hello dear
How are you doing?
My mom is 63 years old we went from living in one room all to everyone has their own space we made sure to create for her after retirement forever home i was so happy to see nice finished bathroom we never had all our childhood and early adulthood when i visited this year she loves it and want to add and makes improvements
A REAL staircase! And a solution to the making-the-bed issue. Just brilliant. A delightful home for a wonderful (and inventive) lady. ❤️
I love this place! But…I would like more facts about costs and location.
I would guess out west, Southern California, Arizona, New Mexico, etc. Palm trees are a clue.
My tiny home is also my retirement plan but I'm still looking for permanent land so I can landscape. Smartest thing I've ever invested in so far.
