You can feel and hear every noise it makes, and it makes you that much more connected to the road~ And yes, people, it's supposed to make those noises, and it's not dangerous. If you drive a GT-R, just set your expectations so that you know this will not be your traditional smooth automatic transmission. This dual clutch is noisy, and again, you will not die if you drive it and hear those noises :D
The reverse beep was removed in all USDM 2015 and newer GT-Rs. This is not GT-R specific either as it’s a Japanese domestic warning chime they put in their cars and sometimes it carries over to the USDM models. All of my JDM cars I owned while living in Japan had this.
I bought my dream car too, e46 m3 6mt coupe. After owning it for only a year I sold it. Why? Because my dream car had too many things I didn’t know I didn’t like until I lived with it for a year. That’s why they say never meet your hero. Now that I don’t an e46 m3 anymore for quite a while, I daydream about it again. But I know not to buy it, as in the back of my mind I know there are things I don’t like about it.
You can avoid the differential binding/grinding while turning at slow speeds by holding the Save mode switch down for a few seconds until the light blinks. This engages RWD only mode for making sharp turns at very slow speeds like when parking. Once you go above 5-7 MPH the RWD only mode switches off.
yeah the beeping noise was removed '15+ , i had the same issue with my track edition. It's such a great car overall, i'll definitely get another in the future.
My twin turbo 1998 Supra makes the same beep in reverse. As for the heater seat switches if it really bothers you that much easy to remove them & relocate them in the centre console where you pointed out in the front centre console. As for snow boards dude buy a SUV if your wanting to put snow boards , GTR is made for speed not luxury. & for that very little grinding noise from the gearbox, nothing compared to my other car R34 GTR with twin plate clutch system which is noisier. You have a nice race car their don't complain about those little things, when most people can't even afford one be happy you own a GTR. :) greetings from Sydney Australia.

WOW, you are really reaching! #1 - Reverse Beeping: Never noticed it until you mentioned it. I recommend not driving it in reverse for prolonged times. #2 - Seat Heating Switch: Never noticed it or used it while in CO. I recommend putting your hand over the seat to tell if it's on. #3 - No Folding Seats: You are more than welcome to try driving a GTR in the snow or ice, but I wouln'd advise it. Remember, this is a tuner car. #4 - Front Seat Edge Flaw: You got me on that one. I have Recaro, but will have standard on my new Pure. If it becomes an issue, I'll upgrade. #5 - Noisy Clunky Trans: The #1 GTR owner's concern. It is a poor guy's supercar that will give the 911 Turbo S a run for its money specially once upgraded to FBO/e85. It is a $30K piece of machinery if you ever have to replace it out of pocket. It did have a bellhousing issue that's been resovlved post '15. It doesn't like low speeds. But really, can you get a better sports car for this price? And I mean, you can get a Pure in the low $90Ks. I just had an M4 priced in the low $100Ks. Porsche 911 Turbo S in the low $200Ks, and so on. This transmission is good for at least 600ft/lbs torque and for those with deep pockets, it can be upgraded to handle huge amounts of torque (via Jack's Tans. or Sheps). In short, you'll get used to the noise and make sure you have emergency money if you make upgrades that will void your warranty (or is out of warranty). Just my two cents. ;)

These "flaws" are highly subjective. Most people these "flaws" wouldnt bother them at all. You got to understand this is your subjective opinion and not at all some kind of fact...
I work on and service theses. you should drive a 2017 model most of you transmission complaints will go away and if your drove a 2008 version you would marvel at how quiet yours is. its cause buy the ultra light flywheel and gearbox tolerances but if you were to ever buy one new you would get a document explaining thats its all normal because its a street legal race car. however if you want snow boards you may want to get roof racks that would fix your problem. the beeping when in reverse is because people have launched them backwards into walls ect cos there not paying attention. I hope you continue to enjoy it.
I agree with few things except the snowboard part. It's a performance oriented car so you're lucky enough it have good amount space for groceries shopping and family picnic. Other than that, keep the good work. ☺️
The interior back up beeper goes back to the roots of Nissan, my 91 silvia had an interior back up beeper that way you know to make sure you go back into park before getting out of the car

The beeping in reverse is for the driver to "hear" id they are backing out into something. As your backend gets closer so something as you reverse, the beeping will get faster and when you get too close it'll souund similar to a flatline beep. So its not stupid. Its parctical.

Most bucket seats are like that, rs4 seats are terrible for it but it’s down to the owner! My c63 used to get bolster wear round the lumbar support as that actually stuck out the most that was harder to avoid as the roof was low and I’m 6ft2 😂

so what if it beeps, man up and get used to it. the heated seat buttons are positioned perfectly, just get your friends to turn the button off. the seats can not fold down and should not, because they would hit the front seats. the metal part in the seat isn't an issue, because you are supposed to sit in the guidelines of the seat, not on the outside. the transmission has to make noises because it is moving, you are not supposed to change gears while stationery, cars are meant to be driven.
For the price that this car cost it looks like an average car on the road. I just don’t know why an expensive car doesn’t look the part . I mean if you are driving it on the street it will just blend in with all the cheap cars driving next to you . It’s more of the feel of the hp you are paying for so not for everyone. Good video man .
Thanks. Thats something I truly love about the car. Nobody pays attention to it when I'm driving around. I can park at Wall Mart and nobody looks at it. But when it comes time to get on the highway or pass a car, this thing is a rocket! Our video coming out this Saturday shows me racing an 800 WHP McLaren on an airstrip. GTR has no problem keeping up. I love the car more and more
i bet a heat indicator on the dash and folding rear seats shows up on the next model. those are actually practical ideas, and would add more value than their cost to implement. i'm way too old to snowboard, but you never know when you're out in the GTR and you get that phone call from the Mrs asking if you can bring home a quart of milk and few cut 2x4's from the Depot (it happens).

The car is a pain in the ass to tune. I use to work for a speed shop and we had one as a shop car. The gtr has 2 ecu, the ecu for the trans would lock up in 1st gear if the car made over 650 lbs torque. You had to upgrade the clutch packs inside or the trans would blow then you had to bypass something in the ecu so it doesnt lock

fyi i have a 2010 gtr and the passenger heated seat is on a rocker switch when pressed into high or low it rocks back to off but stays on until the passenger turns it off or the car is turned off
The driver seat design flaw is spot on, haven't seen another video pointing that out. Hasn't torn on mine yet but I'm always conscious to not overly exert pressure on that outer side even though it is inevitable. Maybe some stiff ass carbon seats in the future for me.
My friend let my hold his GTR because he was going away for couple months and didn't want to leave it unattended. I only took it out on Saturdays. The only thing I hated about it was that I was constantly being hassled by other people. What bothered me the most was the questions because I don't know a damn thing about the car. The amount of attention this car gets makes me uncomfortable and for that reason I hate it with a passion but at the same time I do love it. The backlash in the comment section proves that this car is like a god to people, hence the attention it receives and headaches I received.

iirc, there is no opening to the trunk after removing the rear seats, as its designed/built as a closed shell for rigidity. you'll need to remove the seats and panels to get to the rear suspension bolts. Someone more with knowledge will eventually chime in and correct me if i'm wrong.
Maybe you should test drive and check a car before buying one, and one thing is that GTR is for racing not for some people that likes or needs space,high ground clearance and many more.

It’s not a 250k lambo, so not everything is going to be perfect, it’s worth every penny for what the car offers, the dual clutch is clunky I know, drove me nuts, but gives the car a more raw characteristic and wouldn’t be the same if it was super quit and smooth as a Lexus! I was use to it real quick after driving a e63 m6 smg trans!! Which was a single clutch and in m mode would shit very brutal, but loved it for 3 years because the sounds the v10 made and how pure it is.

Most bucket seats are like that, rs4 seats are terrible for it but it’s down to the owner! My c63 used to get bolster wear round the lumbar support as that actually stuck out the most that was harder to avoid as the roof was low and I’m 6ft2 😂

so what if it beeps, man up and get used to it. the heated seat buttons are positioned perfectly, just get your friends to turn the button off. the seats can not fold down and should not, because they would hit the front seats. the metal part in the seat isn't an issue, because you are supposed to sit in the guidelines of the seat, not on the outside. the transmission has to make noises because it is moving, you are not supposed to change gears while stationery, cars are meant to be driven.
For the price that this car cost it looks like an average car on the road. I just don’t know why an expensive car doesn’t look the part . I mean if you are driving it on the street it will just blend in with all the cheap cars driving next to you . It’s more of the feel of the hp you are paying for so not for everyone. Good video man .
Thanks. Thats something I truly love about the car. Nobody pays attention to it when I'm driving around. I can park at Wall Mart and nobody looks at it. But when it comes time to get on the highway or pass a car, this thing is a rocket! Our video coming out this Saturday shows me racing an 800 WHP McLaren on an airstrip. GTR has no problem keeping up. I love the car more and more
i bet a heat indicator on the dash and folding rear seats shows up on the next model. those are actually practical ideas, and would add more value than their cost to implement. i'm way too old to snowboard, but you never know when you're out in the GTR and you get that phone call from the Mrs asking if you can bring home a quart of milk and few cut 2x4's from the Depot (it happens).

The car is a pain in the ass to tune. I use to work for a speed shop and we had one as a shop car. The gtr has 2 ecu, the ecu for the trans would lock up in 1st gear if the car made over 650 lbs torque. You had to upgrade the clutch packs inside or the trans would blow then you had to bypass something in the ecu so it doesnt lock

FWIW: GTR not the only used car with a visible tear in the driver's seat. It happens with other vehicles as well even well kept ones.
Just to let you know is if you remove the back seat and back rest, there's a huge ECU blocking a hole thus preventing you putting skiis through.
As a owner you could help the company, email them and suggests for those improvements .. Simple! Then, who knows, you could get the next year gtr with discount

reverse beeping soud come with all cars originally from Japan. My right hand drive FairladyZ also come with the sound. All my frinds' cars from Japan come with the sound. It is the sound of JDM, so enjoy it.

I think it would be cool to make that noise when you switch from drive to reverse because in my opinion it would make the car sound more sporty.

fyi i have a 2010 gtr and the passenger heated seat is on a rocker switch when pressed into high or low it rocks back to off but stays on until the passenger turns it off or the car is turned off
The driver seat design flaw is spot on, haven't seen another video pointing that out. Hasn't torn on mine yet but I'm always conscious to not overly exert pressure on that outer side even though it is inevitable. Maybe some stiff ass carbon seats in the future for me.
My friend let my hold his GTR because he was going away for couple months and didn't want to leave it unattended. I only took it out on Saturdays. The only thing I hated about it was that I was constantly being hassled by other people. What bothered me the most was the questions because I don't know a damn thing about the car. The amount of attention this car gets makes me uncomfortable and for that reason I hate it with a passion but at the same time I do love it. The backlash in the comment section proves that this car is like a god to people, hence the attention it receives and headaches I received.

iirc, there is no opening to the trunk after removing the rear seats, as its designed/built as a closed shell for rigidity. you'll need to remove the seats and panels to get to the rear suspension bolts.
Someone more with knowledge will eventually chime in and correct me if i'm wrong.

The transmission noise are servos changing the gear position perfectly normal.
Maybe you should test drive and check a car before buying one, and one thing is that GTR is for racing not for some people that likes or needs space,high ground clearance and many more.

Bro, you can't tell a person to not to buy a GTR just because of these minor issues that you felt annoyed and not all people are like you couldn't tolerate these small issues, I guarantee you that other cars could have bigger issues easily than the one you've mentioned for sure. Nissan was considered as one of the most reliable cars in the world. Even BMW and Mercedes could not beat it. 😂👌

Bro trade it for a maxima sv!! The trunk has a pass through for skies!! U might be able to fit a few people in the trunk and not worry about the small flaws in a gtr, just drive and enjoy! It’s not a 250k lambo, so not everything is going to be perfect, it’s worth every penny for what the car offers, the dual clutch is clunky I know, drove me nuts, but gives the car a more raw characteristic and wouldn’t be the same if it was super quit and smooth as a Lexus! I was use to it real quick after driving a e63 m6 smg trans!! Which was a single clutch and in m mode would shit very brutal, but loved it for 3 years because the sounds the v10 made and how pure it is.
