Street photography segment is LEGENDARY
You don't know how much you made my day with that Street Photography segment. I instantly close every video that starts with variations of segments like that.And that's a huuuge amount. It drives me mad, it's like everyone's just copying each other and not even making an effort. Not even commenting on the camera in question, but more straight to the point content like this (apart from the parody) is what it's getting harder and harder to find. This made me subscribe.

I was more invested in the story of you going outside and taking pictures than in some of the latest movies i've seen in the cinema. Your videos are just incredible!
I couldn’t grab a pen and paper fast enough to start writing down that life advice. “I don’t use a zoom lens. If you can’t see where you’re headed, how you know when you’re there?” Labeling my pancake lens with that line as we speak 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

That short at the beginning was amazing! The shot choices the color grading the narration the acting was all impeccable and what made it better was how you didnt acknowledge it yourself 😂 amazing
I've always been a huge fan of the no-frills dense information style that you've maintained in the past, but dude! The street photography section shows not only your hilarious sense of humor both as an actor and in VO, but the visuals, color and style is relevant and pleasing to look at. I'd love to see more in your future videos!

The street photography segment is the best set piece I've ever seen on this channel. Should be required viewing for all street photographers. That said, the tech portion jumps abruptly into noise performance in shooting video, nothing about noise in stills.
I really like this new approach or intro of the camera review. BRILLIANT!!! Especially the phrase "The camera is the extension of me, I am the tool"

Which focal length do you prefer to shoot with?
The compression makes the gradient on your shirt look alive whenever there's motion. That is super weird and super cool!
I have never seen a receipt on the ground look so good.

In fairness it’s more for photography than video but I’d like to capture some on off vid clips on a trip in a few weeks to the Far East.
I guess my iPhone 13 Pro can do a bit too to complement the Fuji.
Of course, if I prioritised video, I’d have got the XH2 or 2S but my main gear is all Canon so don’t want to duplicate systems.

on the web streaming function: it doesn't deliver power through USB-C, does it? Still need a dummy battery?
It does. Runs for hours on USB.
@@geraldundone that's amazing to hear. for some reason I have been reading that none of the 5th gen X-Trans models can do web streaming simulataneously with delivering power. Not doubting your reply, sounds like you tested it yourself. Just thrilled. I ordered one which is supposed to be hear in a few weeks, and would love to use it this way.

The street photography part was an absolute masterpiece. But in terms of Color grading and comedy.

I love the webcam function. Did you test it on Mac ?
It was a key feature to me to pull the trigger, but unfortunately it does not work with all the Mac I tried. It's working perfectly on my Window PC. Maybe a bug to be fixed later on with software.

I wish we had benchmarks that could be standardized to test camera processors. I wonder if these camera processors are weak or strong.
How would they compare to something like Apple Silicon or SnapDragon chips?

Love your wry sense of humour in the faux outdoor "test" :D I'll be picking one of these up once they go on sale here in Japan, for the simplicity of the photography interface, its light weight, and for the nice film simulations Fujifilm give you in camera, so I don't need to mess around in post. My daughter's just turned three years old and it's also for her, so she can learn the basics with something that feels right in her hands, not one of my large, unwieldy (for her) super-cams!

The first 4 minutes of this video expresses all of the ways I feel about people on RUclips saying this camera and it's predecessor the best camera of all-time for street, travel, and reportage photography. It's not. 🤣 Buy the X-Pro3 and call it a day.
