I guided the remote cable of my Shuttle SL along the dropper post cable. This is the most stealth look and by bar most protected position for the thin remote cable. I do this even I use the exact same One Up E-Bike handlebar. So I have the option to do what you did in the video but just do not like the loose thin cable which still would hang around.
Pivot decided that this way through the bars damages their cable. Your way is their recommended way. My question is why frail electrical cables in this modern era. SRAM should fix this soon enough I am hearing.
I just got a Transition Relay, (Fazua Ride 60). I want to do this. Are there any concerns with the tight bend on the cable where it comes from the controller and loops back under the ring before going in the hole? I wish there was a way to disassemble/reassemble the ring, placing the wire on the other side. Good video. Thanks.
I like the ring control, the one on a Giant e-bike is even sleeker and better. I haver an EP8 bike and don't like the form factor much. I also do not understand why these are not wireless yet, but hey.... Let me know if you try the EP8 switch and how it works.
@@LoamRoamer i am waiting on transitions relay hitting the uk sometime this year i think it has a removable fazua battery driver pack, i like thee idea of it been removable like the kinesis e rise hard tail, either bang a spare driver pack in or use it as a normal full sus bike
I have a race face turbine stem, burgtec stem and an I9 stem; unless you want your bars tilted way back, the hole placement on these bars are horrible! I think you may have the only stem that works with these bars (if running wires). The wire hole/ opening is at the bottom of the bars, which puts the wire inside your stem and pinches the wire. Horrible Design!
Cheers for the vid, just fitted a set on my Haibike Lyke with the FAZUA system, super clean 👍
Great to hear!

Try and give it some loop, it is a thin bunch of wires for sure, but that is also a good reason to put it away.
Thanks.
How is this setup working 1 year later? Thinking about doing same on my FAZUA bike. Thanks for the video!
Still working great!
You think a round file would work just as safe as a drill bit?
yes
Is it just me or does aligning the bar with the markings of headtube angle make it look like it’s really rolled foward?
I htink it is just a cemera effect in the video, the bars are definitely not rolled forward.
what do you think about the ring control? did you ever think about it to upgreat that whit a Shimano STEPS EP8 switch?

@@LoamRoamer both switches has just +- and maybe maybe it works with the EP8
is the battery on the pivot inside the downtube? or is it a detachable battery
Inside the downtube. It is removable by removing motor bolts, rotating the motor and sliding it out. It is a good design for everything but travel.

Pivot should have shipped the bike this way, that cable is definitely super flimsy. One good crash and your bike is DOA.thanks for the video!
I agree!

You are not wrong, they definitely designed this with their stem in mind. I am happy the 5dev stem worked so well.
so the hole on these bars don't work with the Burgtec stem?
@@burgoaleI have a burgtech enduro stem and it works perfectly.
