Loam Roamer is a channel that will share vehicle builds, modifications, bike builds, modifications, and everything that goes into looking for epic camping sites, trail wheeling locations, and from mtn biking that is off the beaten path and the trails we all know and love! None of the reviews include free stuff or pro discounted stuff. Something you will find on my channel with any review. I buy it and use it or am thinking about doing so and getting a chance to test it. So any review is how I feel and only biased towards that. I am not an influencer asking for or getting free stuff. Then telling you, it is amazing when I am incentivized to do so. I hope that helps you with any review and gives you a perspective of where I am coming from.

Ibis Ripmo AF: Unboxing an Unbuilt Bike - Free Brakes????
Amen to this, its funny howany people i see spend so much for the exact same tech you just said.
Right!
I did exactly this to mine. Fully adjustable now. Fitted the bleed valves when fitting the full Fox mudguard 👍
Awesome!
Hi! Im from mexico and have a hartail that i use for allmountain and enduro light, stock bike have 26 mm internal, I wanna buy sun ringle duroc rims and have to option Sun ringle duroc 35 (with 31 internal) and duroc SD37 (with 32 internal) What do you recomend for my style of riding ? I live on a zond with very technical trail on the forest, northshore style ...
32 internals so if you run a 2.4 it is blocky or a 2.6 you get the benefit.
@LoamRoamer I use 2.4 hutchinson Wyrm For your comments, the Best election would be duroc 35 (internal 31) ? with my actual 26mm I see the tyre super round, like a balloon...
27mm - front 2.6 , rear 2.4 rigged marin muirwoods
2.6 will be rounded, it works if the goal is rolling as the tire profile is optimized for less resistance and not optimized for cornering. The rear def should roll, and corner pretty good.
great thx
I just got a Transition Relay, (Fazua Ride 60). I want to do this. Are there any concerns with the tight bend on the cable where it comes from the controller and loops back under the ring before going in the hole? I wish there was a way to disassemble/reassemble the ring, placing the wire on the other side. Good video. Thanks.
Try and give it some loop, it is a thin bunch of wires for sure, but that is also a good reason to put it away.
Thanks.
I’m currently running 29mm internal width rims paired with 2.4in Bontrager Gunnison tires. I’m dissatisfied with their roundish profile. Would a 2.5WT maxxis offer me a better profile? I’m thinking of getting some assegais or maybe dissectors
Thats well above avg
lol, love it!
Can I do this on a road bike wheel?
If it is a dt swiss exp hut, hell yes!
Is it just me or does aligning the bar with the markings of headtube angle make it look like it’s really rolled foward?
I htink it is just a cemera effect in the video, the bars are definitely not rolled forward.
In gravel bike 50mm front and 45mm rear - should I go for 25 internal or 28internal which is 75gr heavier for each rim ?
I would go 28 in the front and 25 in the rear. This is for traction versus rolling and spinning up. Many of my bikes have this variation for performance reasons.
Just ordered using your link, good tip thank you.
Have you tried galfer? Have you tried mixed pads? What about the full metal copper pads?
I love my truckerco sintered metallic pads and I’ve been running them for a while but I’m tempted to try the red mtx
I think I'm gonna try 30mm with 2.00". I wanna know what it feels like.
Share what you find.
You think a round file would work just as safe as a drill bit?
yes
I just got trp evo dh fitted on kevo and know have a wierd tapping noise I think in frame every time I compress suspension on my levo .changed all shock bushings no apart play in any linkage all bolts tight. Can't sus out what it is
brake host might be hitting the carbon during compression.
@LoamRoamer sounds like it .its going to shop soon to remove hose and try eliminate as noise wasn't there before brakes were fitted also had fox upgrade my x2 at same time thought bushings. So replaced bushings. Must be cable thanks
Grab yourself a fox mud guard to smack on while you are doing the ports👌
For sure
Great information on the topic. I unknowingly got my 240 hub built up to a 25mm IW rim.. the EX471... pretty upset about the 25mm IW because I've always ran 30mm and they've worked well. Right now I have a Conti Kryp 2.4 to the 2.4... What are your thoughts on a minion 2.4 on the 25mm IW... 2.3 minion?
It will round those tires and reduce the traction patch. While this may be fine in the rear it will make the front really feel the dead spot of a minion. If you drop to the 2.3 it will help. 30mm would be far more ideal. Even 28mm would be a big change using the tire widths you like. Sorry to hear you got a build that came with a narower rim width.
What about gravel 27.5 wheels? I have 50mm clearence front with a 29” wheel and 43mm on the rear with a 29” wheel. Probably 50mm front and 45mm with the 27.5 wheels. Any thoughts about the sweet spot for a internal rim with, tire combo? Thanks
25-28mm work amazing for this setup. I personally run 28mm
Hi, What am I supposed to be feeling exactly that’s soooo much better? I just got a 36 Performance and it feels freaking awesome! What more can the Grip2 damp do for my riding? My performance 36 ( to me ) is the best! You can adjust on the fly and actually feel the difference by simply setting to Firm, Med, and wide Open. Most people I know wouldn’t dare fiddle with their factory 36 bc they spend a ton of time setting it up and assume it feels good dialed without actually really knowing what perfect is supposed to feel like?
I agree with you in many ways. My point is why get Kashima just to get the ports. And if you want to have more adjustment a damper is all that does that, not the cost of appearance. You make great points on how simpler suspension worked really well for many.
What’s the minimum inner rim width recommended for 27.5x2.8 tires?
30mm would be good as a minimum, 35mm would be a better width.
can you make a tutorial video because i have no idea what your talking about and i dont want to risk ruining my forks.
I will put this on the list!
Loving my Sight VLT C2! I run a Lyrik at 170mm on Noble TR-37s with Hydra hubs. One Up 35mm bar, Cromag stem, Funn Mamba one side clipless as well on Conti Krypyotal DH casing super soft front and soft rear. Its such a capable bike for shuttle DH laps but still absolutely rips punchy XC trails. My next upgrade is AXS. I did put XT 4 pot brakes on the front because they were needed. Great video on your wicked bike!
How is this setup working 1 year later? Thinking about doing same on my FAZUA bike. Thanks for the video!
Still working great!
Great comparison! Can you share your weight and the settings of the Ohlins? Tokens, spacers and adjustments?
I just picked up a LT with the 5Dev, they are so bas a**
Thanks, I am very light and I am sure this will help
That was very educational. This was a very good custom mod. Excellent job!
Where did you get the light fairing ? I cant seem to find it anywhere.
From up top Overland when I ordered the rack. I think they say it is the Baja Designs LP9 version
Where’s the video? I can’t find it🙏🏾
What do you recommend for a big, heavy guy doing XC riding?? 2.35 front, 2.2 back.
My ‘23 derailleur doesn’t have the screws so ill have to send it to sram.
man I was searching high and low for this! I knew there was a little sram thing but couldn't remember wtf it was! thanks
Park tools makes a great tool for this also, that has the threads and a cable attached.
Is it just me or were a couple of steps skipped? Did you put oil in the air shaft (where the spacer / cap goes) and did you mention the extra 5ml of oil you need in air lower?
I am looking at snagging this bike this weekend (SIZE L). I am 6', 190 lbs. I just sold my 2021 CUBE Stereo HPC Race 140 LARGE. Loved the bike just bottomed it out a few times. Looking to upgrade to a bigger squish, better components. I enjoy doing it all. This would be my everyday bike here in Southern Alberta, trails, medium jumps and drops, downs and ups. Hard to decide. Feels like mixed reviews. Wish I could have kept my other bike to compare side by side. Any other tips?
I ride mine all the time, and it makes a tremendous one-bike solution. It is the bike I have owned the longest to date. If riding it on everything you describe, run it in high mode as a 29er. I think Mullet is only for the steeper and very tight riding on this bike. So many reviewers start out telling you how great a bike is because of their contract and then pivot (no pun intended) to a changed message when something new comes out. They are paid to say it is better; it is why I started this; I wouldn't say I like that about influencer behavior. A large will be great, and a suspension setup will be important. Don't run your compression fully open; damping is essential to all bikes. Follow their recommendations and then make small changes from there. I do big climb days with this bike, and while it is not an XC bike, it climbs well and is not a miserable experience. Then you point it in the direction of the party, and the confidence you gain is incredible. It is a playful bike that can smash big obstacles as well. Enjoy the bike, it is one of the better rides out there to own!
Thanks for this from the UK. I am just about to upgrade to Magura brakes and this is really helpful. Fingers crossed!
May i know what bearing size and numbers for the rear please? Possible to get it not from industry 9 kit?
You should reach ut to thm with the issue, they do great warranties on their bearings. I do not know the bearing numbers off hand.
23mm inner and 2.20 tire? Is good for xc?
@@timescueta57 will work great
Is 24mm inner and 28mm outer good for xc riding on a hardtail?, i dont hit hard trails
It will work great for tires around 2.0-2.25. A wider tire will be rounded off.
Do You know the numbers for the bearings and which brand would you recommend as the replacement?
Thank you for posting a visual on these rare tech questions. Do you know if the issue is the same for the Vivid coil as well or is it just the vivid air?
similar issues as they adjust the same. It does work better than air. But the rebound is not fun ever,
Sweet!!!
How are19mm rims and 35mm tyres?
Can I run Maxxis ardent race 27.5 x 2.35 as a rear tire on Entity XL2 internal , 35mm??
You can, the tire will be squared off and a little stiff, on the rear this could be great.
Great review Dustin. I just switched my bike to a canyon freeride e bike 180 and just got the gold pad and 220 2.0 rotors front and rear. Do you think this will be good for Northstar? I ride Northstar 2-3 days a week. I have Shimano slx four piston brakes.
at a 60/inch lb spring rate and shooting off from an assumption that you look to be 175lbs at most, you are over sprung. Plus the trail you are running appear to be not suited for the spring rate that you are running.
Can I get a discount code, I’m uk based ?
I will follow up, codes expirtes, will see about a new one.
Can I have a working discount code for the stand?
It expired a while ago. Old video. I will ask them for another code
Great video and explanation. Thanks for sharing.
