I sold my Kenevo SL for the new Shuttle LT and I like it so much that I sold my Enduro for the Firebird! I’ve got the same build as yours expect I went with coil option. I’m a heavier rider (260lbs) and I love how the DW link system allows me to run lighter spring rates/air pressures than the extremely leveraged specialized bikes.
Absolutely. The dialed in progressivity is really good on this bike
Fox X2, by far the best air shock I have ever had the joy of using. Took a little bit of work to set up right for me compared to past shocks but so, so worth it!
It is a great shock, one of the best for sure. My only issue is how heavily it relies on the air spring versus damping, but these are small things. I think on this bike, a coil is likely the absolute best, but that is hypothetical until I do some testing!
@@LoamRoamer I am currently running X2 on both of mine, however I have tried a borrowed DHX2 on the Reign. It was nice but not progressive enough for the mastero linkage on the harder hits.
I would love to try an MRP progressive coil on it, but at the same time the EXT Aria air shock is coming out next year.
I don't do super long high intensity gravity runs, I have not had heat problems, so it makes me lean towards a custom air can as the next experiment. EXT is highly recommended from coil peeps, so the desire is high to try their latest toy!
A Fox DHX2 with orange sls would look mighty fin on that beast of yours.
