Didn’t realize Class1 e-mtb bashing was still a thing…
This aside, comparing full power vs mid powered lighter e-mtbs is where it is really at right now. The mid-powered category seems to really take off this year with more and more manufacturers. Great video, I like the conclusions, programs might differ from one rider to the next, as long as everyone is having FUN! 👍
Great video, I've been mulling around getting the new levo SL with the bigger upgraded motor. It's much more aggressive then the pivot shuttle SL! I currently have a levo pro that i love. I can't decide since there are no test bikes for rent. After watching your video, i still can't decide!
I just bought the new Levo SL but have not ridden it yet hoping I find a good deal on the Shuttle SL. I’m a big Pivot fan and would sacrifice the bigger travel and adjustable geo/versatility of the Levo for the efficiency and beauty of the Shuttle!

Where did you guys do the test? Looks like somewhere in southern California.
Great bikes you got here, guys !
Looks like you chosed them wright for your bodies.
I'm 5.8 and under 70 kg... I would have chosen the LS, i guess.
Thanks for your vidéo.
MBA! I remember reading you guys back in the 90s. It was the best MTB mag back then. Not perfect. I remember you guys predicting that the URT was going to be the standard rear suspension for all bikes. Now you only find them on an occasional Walmart bike.
That SL is creaking like a mofo , is it coming from the motor/axle ?
A big difference to me was how noisy the LT was. The Fazua was MUCH quieter bike motor.
Seems a little hard to swallow riding for 6+
Hours on boost and only using 40% of the battery? This seems strange on either of those bikes…
Holy hell, that was an awful review. Almost unwatchable. Instead of saying this one or that one, see the actual model name of the bicycle you’re talking about
Sorry, E-Bikes ar mountain bikes as much as mopeds are motorcycles. They are very different and the only thing that grounds them are Theo tires.
I'm a little confused to what exactly you are saying. But if you are trying to say these Electric Mountain Bikes are not mountain bikes we may need a little bit of convincing due to the nature of these bikes having a near exact parts list as a modern mountain bike besides the internal battery within the frame and the added Shimano mountain bike EP8 electric motor in the LT model. Pivot a mountain bike company that builds high end mountain bikes also builds these high end electric mountain bikes the only difference is added power for the guy who may not have the fitness level to get his mechanical bike up the hill these days.
So are horses and cars… but unfortunately things change… buy a bigger stable and you can then get a car to park in it :)
I am really interested in the Shuttle LT, and I would like you to tell me if the reach in size Medium is way too long, did you feel overly stretched out on the front while pedaling with the dropper up? May I ask your height for the size Medium Shuttle LT? Keep up the good work!
ZZZZZZZ, Get off my lawn.
Electric motor cycle, say it with me, electric motor cycle. please make sure to mention they belong on motor cycle trails or on the street not on bike trails or any where a motor cycle shouldn't be.
Not even close buddy lets try this one together Electric. Mountain. Bike.
for one big huge idea they don't have a throttle and they also have pedals. For comparison the stark varg ( starkfuture.com/products/stark-varg ) has 938Nm of torque compared to our Pivot Shuttle LT that only has 85Nm of torque that is only available from pedal assist. These Mountain Bikes are also almost a direct make up of a mountain bike frame with added room inside the frame for a small battery and motor not to mention they use mountain bike suspension and many other mountain bike components. I'll leave here a list for you of actual electric motorcycles by definition that all have throttles do not include pedals and mountain bike frame make ups an then you can rewatch our video and become further educated on the difference between a electric mountain bike and an electric dirtbike / motorcycle LINKS ARE ALL BELOW

@@MountainBikeActionMagazine Don’t forget the US Dept. of Transportation and many states consider Class 1 E-Bike the same as a traditional bicycle.
@@MountainBikeActionMagazine well said! , These e-mtb haters have no idea what they are talking about! And they are jealous they can't afford one, so they bash on other people's fun!
Elecric motor mountain bicycle, there, fixed it for you.
