"the world is out of balance because someone did something really bad"
*kratos's pushing of the bridge becomes more intense*
He uplifted an entire labyrinth to get to the pandora's box. Thats probably nothing to him.
I think everything is hard for him... but only because he wants it to be lol. He's an immortal war God with no godly powers, just the physical traits, and he's SO FREAKING STRONG that his base of power is set low so he doesn't just straight up break things he grabs. Thus, he has to strain to access his strength, explaining why he strains both to open chests (because at neutral he's set to zero) and during, say, the fight with Baldur. He also could have hit Baldur harder, but he figured out early on that hitting him wasn't gonna do anything, so hitting him harder meant he would just have to run to catch him or hit him into his own house.
The fact that the temple is designed like that where "someone" can just casually push the whole bridge says a lot about Tyr and his feats of strength
Notice how low toned Kratos is when he says that. He must be rezisting the urge to try and straighten himself to loosen up.
It's due to him tempering his rage, from the digital comic.
He was disgruntled that his son thought of him as a weak old man, despite atreus seeing him snapping a troll's neck like a kit kat bar.

@Afnan khan wrong, Kratos' actions in Mycenean Greece had no effect in Midgard since they are treated as two separate worlds in the setting.
What she IS talking about is how the Helwalkers are being formed, which is happening because of the Valkyries not being allowed to take souls to Valhalla, so this is actually something that really ISN'T Kratos' fault at all, but rather Odin's.
@Afnan khan I don't understand the question. Do you mean "what powerful force are they dealing with and why is the world unbalanced"? The answer to that is: The two most destructive fantastic forces in Midgard that we are aware of are the Gods and the residents of Kratos' house" . Kratos and Atreus pull the world into chaos due to their various actions throughout the course of the game, whereas Odin has been seemingly causing trouble for everywhere for a while since before Kratos and Atreus started their journey

But I'm a sure that you can find them for free in the internet.
What he meant is to just try to live a regular life.
That's exactly why he's so weakened after the first encounter with Baldur. Even though he won. You must remember that, it is the first fight Kratos has been in years, the boy is 12 so a lot longer than that for sure. Towards the end Kratos has faced enough challenges, then he fights baldur for one last time , which is completely different from the first battle. In the beginning he was an old man who has given up fighting for good, in the end he was the God of War.
So literally the only way to get anywhere is to have godly strength

I really liked how Atreus would start to question his dads abilities as the game went on
I think everyone is overlooking the fact that even if he could push that bridge he would be walking in place, because his feet wouldn't have enough friction.
I find it a nice touch that even tho Atreus knows about the gods he doesn’t think that his dad is a god or at the very least not human because of the impossible feats that he does because why would he?
He’s been isolated in the forest for who knows how long and he probably thinks that people like Kratos are just very strong.
Funny how kratos is only strong at certain situations, if he was as strong as that in actual combat, each swing of his axe would utterly obliterate anything it touches, but how it is in the actual game? monsters just flinch back a little with each strike, kek.
Well yeah, it's gameplay. They downplay a lot of his abilities.
Well you can’t put in your “full strength” in EVERYTHING you do.
Why would you use maximum effort on a rotting corpse that you know you can clearly obliterate
Because using your full strength leaves you exhausted
Game mechanics to keep it interesting. Plus it's funny to see him struggle with a small chest or coffin after he flips an entire temple on its axis.

That has to be the most resistant shaft ever created
He sounded really annoyed when he said "I did not hurt my back"
The funny thing about all this is, Kratos was pretending to struggle. He was still trying to hide his Godhood from Atreus at this point.
