Samsung has legitimately impressed me over the last few years. Especially on the software support front. I never would have thought my Galaxy would be on an update schedule that's more or less in line with my Pixel.
I assume the fast update policy mostly applies to their phone lineup and, in particular, their flagships. I have a Galaxy Tab S6 Lite which, granted, is almost two years old [since official release in May 2020] and the Lite moniker means it wouldn't get the same love as its non-Lite peers, but I'm still waiting for an update to One UI 4.X from 3.1 while the Android 13 developer preview is out and its stable version will be released in a few months. Also I don't agree with the suggestion that we as consumers should "take it easy" on Samsung just because Samsung produces a wide variety of phones and tablets and that it theoretically means more work to get the timely software updates done across all devices. Now don't get me wrong. There's so much I appreciate about Samsung products and especially the One UI and how far they've come in terms of both aesthetics and performance of the OS and how Samsung phones have always had features years ahead of competition. Hey Michael, 3 things. 1) This review should honestly be called “Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra: The Movie”. As per usual, the script, cinematography, explanation, presentation, your voice and microphone quality (as well as the pace and intonations that characterize your speech) were all top notch. Cinema grade, might I say. This was a whole story. 2) I see you still play Smash Hit. I’ve subscribed and unsubscribed to and from a number of tech channels over the years, but I make sure I’m always subscribed to yours. It was a huge hit in the mobile review sector when you took a break from reviewing a few years back 😅
First time I've watched a MrMobile review the day of release *with* the phone he's reviewing. Thanks to you multiple of my family members use Z Fold3s, and now I'm sure I got it right getting the S22 Ultra, haha.
On day 3 with the phone now and really loving having my "Note" back. The battery life has definitely been less than stellar but I'm hoping it improves with time...most Samsung phones do.
My first impression is the same as yours, the phone is awesome so far but the battery life not so much. I also hope given an update plus some time to settle down after initial setup will result in better battery life.
@@NM_rocker gotta agree, initial battery life is really bad. Has yours improved Mark? I'll just say I'm glad these phones have Super Fast Charging at 25W because I hate having my phone running below 50% battery or above 80... wish you can manually set the phone to restrict charging to those parameters.
@@alphaspartan it’s gotten a bit better after adaptive battery out some apps to sleep that I only use once I a while. There’s a setting in the battery section that you can set so the battery only charges to 85%, I think the battery percentage will still say 100% but it doesn’t fully charge b
@@NM_rocker I finally went in and manually added a bunch of apps into deep sleep so that I could eek out some additional battery life. I was getting impatient waiting for the OS to do it. 😅 Unless I have a faulty battery, this s Spen seems to drain a lot of battery compared to the S21U.
Thank you, Mr. Mobile. You're the ONLY reviewer I've seen so far that didn't make the stupid "Note name mistake" as a joke. Instead, you just told it as it is. It's a Note in all but the name. Not just that, you STRONGLY said it while others seemed to skip around it. You also pointed out things you missed as an actual Note user which I genuinely think only as a long term full feature user could understand. Even though I have already ordered my unit (an online exclusive colour with the matching S Pen of course), this sir, is the review I've been waiting for.
I havent had a super flagship in a long time, usually i've been getting mid range or slightly under flagship, but ive had my eye on the s22 ultra. That statue of liberty picture absolutely blew my mind. WOW
The lack of a MicroSD card slot and of course the price is the thing that's putting me off getting this (or the S22 Plus). I keep my phones for years (I'm currently rocking a S8), so I keep filling them with data for that entire time, to the point that in the last year I got a new MicroSD card for it because the previous 128GB one wasn't cutting it anymore. Still tempted mind, but I'm a lot less eager since I found out about the lack of MicroSD. Might consider the Fold as well, considering the price.
As an iPhone user (i12pm) I'm jealous - mostly. Zoom, wow! S Pen, wow! Well done Sammy. Now on to the reviewer! Your presentation, voice modulation etc are unsurpassed, not only on RUclips but TV too. You have a long career ahead of you! Beautiful!
Your outro enough goes a long way in my enjoyment of your channel! Unbias, unpurchased, uninfluenced it's rare these days and so refreshing. Thank you for that. The then fact you make great content is also awesome haha. Cheers from Brisbane Australia 🤙🏼
DeX is one of the reasons why I bought a Samsung. Having a device you can fit in your pocket which can almost function as a PC, makes it a solid all in one device. Hopefully Samsung further improves it in the future.
I got mine on Feb 22. Went with the 256gb black and love it. I had the s20 and also had the S21 ultra and I am very happy with the S22 ultra. I also have the tab S7 plus and do not use the Spen that much, but find myself using the pen with the phone more often. Good job on the review
I always enjoy getting your take on things and look forward to your thoughts on DeX. I have Z Fold 3 and not looking back any time soon. It just does everything I need it to and doesn't feel cramped like a normal phone. The S22U, on the other hand, looks like the next upgrade for possibly my wife as she is a HUGE shutter bug for kids, animals, etc. so that might be right up her alley. That or the S21U.
Guess you didn't watch the review carefully, this camera isn't suited for fast moving subjects-(kids, animals, the like)-you just mentioned. The Xperias are much better in that regard. The higher megapickel count along with the large sensor do have their drawbacks too (including readout speed/shutter lag, shallow depth of focus which can be a problem in certain situations), but all that aside it's a great camera system, just make sure she can handle such a huge brick (I personally can't)!
@@sushimshah2896 did you seriously just recommend a sony phone for photography? Hell no 🤣 sony can't even do hdr properly. And samsungs only really struggle with moving subjects in lower light. A pixel would be a way better option than a sony ever could be
@@propersod2390 If only the Pixel 6 Pro were available in more countries, there's currently only around 10 countries that have the Pixel 6/Pros and even then, some of these regions only carry the 128GB Variant. Importing the phone is not really an option as there will be RMA issues and stuff. But gotta agree, the Sony Xperia's ain't that great after viewing sample videos on youtube. The S22 series will still be the current widely adopted phones globally because of availability issues of the other devices.
@@propersod2390 I don't know why you find it surprising, Sony has been improving, sure it may not be on par in terms of the Auto output, but it isn't a mainstream device for insta-lovers anyway. And I never said that the Xperias have better cameras than the Note, ahem S22U in every situation, I responded for a very specific use-case of the original commenter. And no amount of crazy HDR will save your photo if the subject is out of focus (clearly the animals weren't shot in low-light, so it shouldn't have been blurry according to you, yet they were)! And when it comes to the Pixel (6/Pro specifically), I certainly wouldn't recommend those bug-ridden & generally worse QC phones to anyone I know, not to mention that they are just as limited as the Xperias in terms of availability.
@@propersod2390 For just taking photos and for fast moving subjects they are good. And they are the only ones taking photography seriously enough to still include a two-stage camera button, unlike all the other clowns.
I'm a software engineering student with no plans of buying most of the tech you review but man, your reviews are like crisp short movies. Loved it every time!
Succinct and stylish, as always. Love a good Mr. Mobile review on the morning. Quick aside: I ended up buying an Artek folding keyboard based on your reviewing, and ya know what? I love it. My favorite iPad Pro 11 accessory. Long-haul battery, satisfying mechanism and haven't had a Bluetooth hitch yet. Also, it's a hell of a conversation starter.
1:30 No. That's only the case for the US, where everyone uses iPhones. In most of the rest of the world, people still widely use wired headphones, and not as "retro self expression".
Great review! The portrait shots are amazing! 1:07 the removal of the headphone jack from smartphones is not an issue. You can easily hook up wired headphones with USB to 3.5MM Audio Adapter with 32bit/384khz Hi-Rez Output build in independent DAC chip. They are cheap and remain secure. I use it for my S22 Ultra and have no complaints. But the micro SD card slot is bit of an issue, although transferring files is easy.
I rarely use my S Pen but I have had to sign a few contracts & boy is it convenient! In Sept. 2023, I can get up at 5:30a, pair to my Watch 5 Pro Titanium, hook up the boat, go fishing all day, take a few pics & videos. Then get home around 6 or 7p & relax. It goes back on wireless charging at 9-10p & it's never below 50% besides 1 time it was at 45% battery life in late Sept 2023 because I was watching movies while fishing on a slow day. Never had an issue out in 100°F while fishing here in SE Texas..It's a Powerhouse! I also just looked up resale on Amazon & seen $800-$1000 for the S22 Ultra, so Samsung is retaining its value 🤟
5:22 "hello dex" reference to samsung dex. such a movie buff and not surprising coming from an actor. when i found your channel, i immediately had a feeling like you're a trained actor with the way you present in your vids and your occasional movie references. this is definitely my fav tech channels out there and thx for the content!
Very detailed review and excellent production and content quality as always. I have a Samsung s21 Ultra that I'm going to stick with: Although I'd LOVE to have the build in S-pen storage, I just can't justify the cost at this time. Also, thanks for the comparison of the camera to the S21 Ultra, very well done! A+++!
I absolutely love your review! Very comprehensive and relevant for most people use case. As a Note user for the last 6 years, I am absolutely agree with your opening statement! 😂 A versatile device that able to do wide array of activities are the reason I keep using Galaxy Note. The S Pen might feel like gimmicky, or something nice-to-have, but I ended up using it more than I expected.
i currenlty have the fold 3, really wanted one, the fold 3 is amazing, but I miss the cameras of other phones, I don't use the large screen enough, so been waiting for this review, I hate to say it but I'm going to swap to the s22 ultra, fits my needs better, just needed to make sure no major downfalls
Ive been following Mr., Fisher since he was at Pocketnow several years ago, so now im doing research for a new phone, ive decided to revisit this review and come straight to this channel for it. Simply the best reviews out there. Thank you. We just love you Mr Mobile!!
"He went to fricken California without me, that jerk.!" 🤣🤣🤣 I would have reacted the same way. But anyways, it seems like everyone is getting somewhat of a different experience when it comes to the cameras across the board. Samsung definitely needs to optimize the experience like soon, now that the general public is starting to get their S22 devices.
What a cool review!! Really enjoyed your perspective Mr. Mobile... as well i must say your narration style and choice of words, rhythm, subtle puns are so chic... it is very enjoyable to hear you thru a review, i felt the same when I watched your Pixel 6 California trip review..
I have a headphone jack and really do use it on a daily basis. Its super convenient to switch calls from phone to a laptop. Android tws earphones just haven't reached that kind of seamless integration just yet unlike the apple earpods.
1:35 Uhhh I still use wired earphones and I have the Pixel 6 Pro...it's not really as much a form of expression as it is a convenience for me. Not having to worry about another battery to charge, and the wire making it much harder to lose (besides the fact that it's cheaper anyway) is really nice. As much as I wish the headphone jack still existed on phones, a dongle (for $10) did the job well enough, so I'm not too bothered.
I loved my z fold 2. A lot actually, however the phone is too fragile for me. I worked in an industrial setting and have a small child. I had the most durable case it still was too risky. The phone broke after only 7 months for a damaged hinge the 1st time. It was only a matter of time for another mishap. I am glad I was part of the initial experience. I know what it has to offer. In a few generations I'll be ready to fold again. In the meantime a power phone like this will do.
I am not buying the folds yet. It think they still have to learn from their designs. It's basically a new type of phone, and I suppose the future, eventually.
on the headphones topic, i dont use headphones on the go very often, so wireless is awful to me. i charge them when ive used them, then if i randomly need them theyve been sitting so long theyre nearly dead, ruining the battery and stuff. plus it feels like a waste of money to spend 100 bucks on a set of earphones i only use rarely. i really would like the headphone jack back.
You're simply the best! I love your practical approach to your reviews considering even the most subtle details. It's rather unfortunate that I cannot even afford a $300-dollar phone but all the same, it's amazing watching your reviews on high earned phones.
I always had struggled to replace my p30 pro because i love the camera an their Leica processing which is very different from others....I wanted tp upgrade to another Huawei with more zoom which is now not possible here...S22 ultra is a compelling smartphone..i love zooming and clicking images... nice showcase of zoom
Easily becoming one of my favorites if not the favorite smartphone reviewer. Also the "when phones were fun" reviews are great and unique. Thanks Mr mobile, for your great content!
as a big fan of sony omnibalance and tube design the s22 ultra was finally a phone worthy to upgrade from my sony xperia xz1 i adore the design and build quality the screen is finally the kind of bright i want i get 6 hours of onscreen time max none adaptive brightness and i feel this is ok, my mate 10 pro still does 9 hours max brightness which is my benchmark but 6 hours is at the limit of acceptable and i guess it's what i have to accept for max brightness i would also honestly say a sd card slot is nice to have but it's sortof redundant today with as much as 500 or 1 tb of storage, sd cards also does not play well with android, so it's nice but i don't miss it a lot i never used it but it was nice to just have it same with a headphonejack which i also never used some complaints i have ce markings on the back and youtubers receiving specialized s22 ultras with no markings it's so unfair, i spoke to samsung and they told me these specialized review units are what samsung envisioned for the design before regulations of ce markings, allthought sony hid all these markings inside on paper on older xperia devices why couldn't samsung do that? oddly enough sony stopped doing that too, and i hate it. camera performance is terrible just terrible lag overall in the ui not sure if it's exynos or the fact that i received mine 2 weeks ago before the day 1 patch but the phone does not feel smooth speaker not frontfacing i miss that from my sony the s22 ultra is the phone sony should have made not samsung i think foldables are the better way to go at that price but i am so obsessed with design and i can't stand the design of foldables right now weirdly almost closed, asymetrical for no reason at all as those curves can be removed but i guess people are obsessed about curves, if the fold 4 has a squared off design like the s22 ultra i'd buy that instead
People who still use wired headphones aren't doing it because it's ironic, they're doing it because they prefer the quality and consistency that a wire provides, it doesn't go much deeper then that.
This sort of review comes only from the Mr. Mobile. Informative, fun, excellent narrative and amazing editing. One of my favorite Tech channels for a reason.
Great review 👍. Hoping the zoom functionality makes its way to the Fold later this year. Also, not sure whether you know about Theme Park that is part of the GoodLock app on the galaxy store? You can set 3rd party icon packs from the Play store in that app, and you can make your own themes too.
I know it's an Ultra phone with Ultra specs. Love the specs, but wished it was smaller...! 6.8' is massive... and wayyy to large for me to pocket... Loving your reviews Mobileman!
My Note 9 still works pretty well and it's in great condition because I keep in a case. But my carrier is offering me $400 for it if I get the 22 Ultra. Still trying to decide if I want to do it. I know if I wait till next year's model I'd get even less for my Note 9, which will be 4+ years old by then. Very tempting to upgrade even though there is nothing wrong with my 9.
i love that you can bet Fisher will mention a foldable in every single review of a new phone, my man out there trying to ignite the folding phone market alone if need be.
I absolutely LOVE my S22 Ultra! It arrived early like two days ago, and I love the loud speakers and brighter screen! I came from the S21 Ultra and it's quite the difference! 😌
So the brightness is a upgrade ? I'm coming from the s20 ultra and getting the s22 ultra in 2 weeks mainly because of the new brightness feature since I'm outside alot with my phone
Great Review. Personally, I think turning down artificial sharpness has actually made the image looked better in S22 ultra. I felt S21 ultra sharpness was a bit overdone. In fact, all new phones go overkill when it comes to sharpness. The natural sharpness you get from optics is just better.
Very precise! Maybe is a One UI 4 thing, as my Samsung S20 FE after the update seemed less sharp but then I feel they look less "overprocessed" smartphone way and more natural as in a bigger camera way.
Your camera review segment has peaked my interest in this phone’s capabilities more so than other reviews I’ve seen so far. Not taking away from any other reviewers, yours just resonated more with me.
Loved this review! As someone who's is upgrading from the 2018 Samsung Note 9, I can't wait to get my until as I feel I'm finally upgrading to a phone that has everything I want/need. Regardless whether the photos are slightly softer than the S21 Ultra they are bound to be way better than what I'm currently using. And even though I'm losing the headphone jack and SD card slot what I'm gaining is so much more and plan to use this phone for just as long as I did my Note 9. The only sad part of this review is I can't believe I missed your Ingress stream! So saddening!
Am impressed by this phone honestly, can’t wait to have access to it (Samsung only sending spares to every shops event for the biggest carrier in France) I was hesitating with a fold3 but the cameras make it a winner to me.
Still the best narrator in the game, with actually useful review info in your videos. It's more than just eye candy, it's quality content. Keep up the great work!
MrMobile I've watched many if your reviews but haven't commented to say thanks. Your review helped make the decision to spend a little extra and buy the S22 Ultra. Keep up the great work.
Not giving us an SD slot is absolute BS.... no excuse whatsoever. Doesn't matter what's inside, SDs have specific uses that cannot be sidestepped. As such, I'll keep on keeping on with the Note 20 ultra. Worth mentioning too... my cameras are better tbh, especially with the laser focus... my cpu/gpu hangs on just as well... my battery is similar... and uhhh, this isn't a big enough increase in anything to justify getting it if you already have a 20. Maybe the 23 will have an SD card slot, and be marginally better yet. I do rely on the Note though... the spen takes notes, measurements, draws rough mock ups, makes store lists, materials and such, serial numbers, model numbers, so much more... it's constant use. Where most in my position would use paper and pen all day long, I use the phone. But I mean, the screen, resolution, dpi, software, versions of said software, all of it, even ram (the 20u is where the top tier 22 is)... my 20 ultra is IDENTICAL, if not better.
Amazing and always witty review, it's like we are actually hanging out with you! I have a XS Max (brand new insurance replacement) and I was going to upgrade to the S22 Ultra, but honestly after this review I am not convinced this "shiny new tech" is actually an upgrade. Great review, especially because it keeps the phone makers honest by pointing out the shortcomings and the features that are the same as last year's $1000+ device.
You’re 100% correct and you are sane and can see through the ‘shiny new tech’. To be fair, the XS Max **is** an absolute beast, especially when it launched in 2018. The A12 chip was almost too powerful at the time-only NOW does the S22 Ultra’s Snapdragon chip just barely get a few points higher in benchmarks in CPU only. We’re talking barely. The $1,099 price was incredibly worth it in 2018 especially with that A12 because it’s paying off with that raw power to run iOS 15 without breaking a sweat in 2022. And it’ll most likely do the same for iOS 16. I also got a brand new replacement in 2021 lol, it feels so brand new. Are you using it without a case or with a case?
@@Johnnygga While I agree the A12 is still plenty powerful, saying it has _just_ now been beaten is a bit on overstatement. The Snapdragon 865 (2019) had better benchmark results than the A12. Apple's silicon is definitely ahead of the competition but everything ages
8/128 as base storage is disappointing for the alleged best non-foldable phone Samsung can make. 2019's Note10+ did 12/256 as base PLUS the expandable storage. The phone is gorgeous but Samsung looks like they are unwilling to make a proper phone with everything they can put on
You really are the best tech reviewer I follow. I watch your reviews for phones I have NO intention of buying because you are so informative! I'll be sticking with my S21 from last year but enjoyed this one very much!
I swear, each and every year I hope for 2 things from Samsung flagships. Better video and non - blurry photos of moving subjects, but no...It looks like it isn't a big problem for Samsung. I don't care about megapixels and zooms, messy photos of anything that's moving is just big NO on phone of this price (and name)
@@sushimshah2896 I don't think it has to do with megapixels. Since S7 Edge, my first Samsung phone, there has been an issue with moving subjects. I think their camera software needs some improvements, especially with hardware this powerful.
A concise and perfect review by Mr. Fisher as always, for the underwhelming flagship from Samsung. The phones they keep pumping out each generation lack any character and charm. Where is the amazement of the curved edge S7, the foldable screens of the flip and fold, to the "meh" candy bar S22 ultra, max, plus, yadda yadda....I'm still gonna hold on to my Galaxy S10 for this year of Samsung releases....
I like the zoom on my s21 ultra while I had it. I found the 6 pro camera to be more consistent and especially with skin tones. Thought it was marketing first lol. That was the only advantage was the 100 time zoom. I never take photos that far. Not even on my mirror less camera

Battery life will always get better after a few days of owning a new phone. It's how it was with my s21 ultra as well
My first impression is the same as yours, the phone is awesome so far but the battery life not so much.
Got my S22 Ultra on 2-22-22....and have been blown away since ! Your shot of the Statue of Liberty says it all, GREAT VID as usual !
I got mine on Feb 22. Went with the 256gb black and love it. I had the s20 and also had the S21 ultra and I am very happy with the S22 ultra. I also have the tab S7 plus and do not use the Spen that much, but find myself using the pen with the phone more often. Good job on the review
New flagship every year? Bit of a waste of money dont you think?
I remember when phones of this class were less then 1k so it's still mind boggling to remember how much these are.
I think the best part of this review was that it came out literally as I was unboxing my own 22 ultra. Great video as always though!
Nice. Enjoy!
No one does phone reviews quite like MrM. Fantastic review.
What about if you're charging your device?
$600 in my country for a 512gb but Xiaomi 13T pro is already at $550
I'll wait for a bit whether s22U gets to $400 like the s21u today in a few months
Your videos are an art. Been following you since 2017. Keep up the good work.
It's peak summer in Australia right now so if there were overheating issues we'd hear about them.
@5:24 Dope editing move!
2:54 nice meta reference collecting those 'snapdragon' plants ;)
Others reviewing this phone focus on fancy fluff. Mr Mobile convinces me he's a user. Bravo.
Samsung: That zoom though!
Everyone: Yes but what about-
Samsung: IT ZOOMS!!!
6:47 Wow, that Statue of Liberty zoom shot was absolutely beautiful! ❤️
i currenlty have the fold 3, really wanted one, the fold 3 is amazing, but I miss the cameras of other phones, I don't use the large screen enough, so been waiting for this review, I hate to say it but I'm going to swap to the s22 ultra, fits my needs better, just needed to make sure no major downfalls
Ive been following Mr., Fisher since he was at Pocketnow several years ago, so now im doing research for a new phone, ive decided to revisit this review and come straight to this channel for it. Simply the best reviews out there. Thank you. We just love you Mr Mobile!!
You know you've got a real review when Michael Fisher drops a video on it 🍿📱 📺
"He went to fricken California without me, that jerk.!" 🤣🤣🤣 I would have reacted the same way. But anyways, it seems like everyone is getting somewhat of a different experience when it comes to the cameras across the board. Samsung definitely needs to optimize the experience like soon, now that the general public is starting to get their S22 devices.
I've very much appreciated your work over the years sir. Thanks for this review. I picked up the S22 Ultra over the weekend.
As always, a perfection of a review video courtesy from one of the best Techtubers to ever exist. ✨
Exact same situation for me, traded in my ZF2 for this.
Best review, best video edition, best narrator. Such a pleasure to see this.
As always you are my favorite RUclips guy. Your videos are VERY GOOD. Been thinking of switching back to Samsung.
2:22 Missed opportunity to quote Tony Stark's "Is is too much to ask for both?"
As per usual, an extremely well made and entertaining review! I love the 60 second segment, let’s bring it back 😁🙏🏼
on the headphones topic, i dont use headphones on the go very often, so wireless is awful to me. i charge them when ive used them, then if i randomly need them theyve been sitting so long theyre nearly dead, ruining the battery and stuff. plus it feels like a waste of money to spend 100 bucks on a set of earphones i only use rarely. i really would like the headphone jack back.
You're simply the best! I love your practical approach to your reviews considering even the most subtle details. It's rather unfortunate that I cannot even afford a $300-dollar phone but all the same, it's amazing watching your reviews on high earned phones.
FINALLY a phone worth upgrading too
My Huawei mate 20 pro has been so good 4yrs in and it's still holding up compared with a lot of flagships
Hahaha l love that Obi Wan - Dex clip! 😂 Great review! 👍
Easily becoming one of my favorites if not the favorite smartphone reviewer. Also the "when phones were fun" reviews are great and unique. Thanks Mr mobile, for your great content!
I don't know if you did it on purpose but the thumbnail is super appropriate rn
Another great review. Although I do miss having an s pen, I will stay with my S21. I've been enjoying it even more after the android 12 update
S pens are available on eBay for a 2 bucks.
I love the way you put your words together ❤ very nice review 🔥
as a big fan of sony omnibalance and tube design the s22 ultra was finally a phone worthy to upgrade from my sony xperia xz1
i adore the design and build quality
the screen is finally the kind of bright i want
i get 6 hours of onscreen time max none adaptive brightness and i feel this is ok, my mate 10 pro still does 9 hours max brightness which is my benchmark but 6 hours is at the limit of acceptable and i guess it's what i have to accept for max brightness
i would also honestly say a sd card slot is nice to have but it's sortof redundant today with as much as 500 or 1 tb of storage, sd cards also does not play well with android, so it's nice but i don't miss it a lot i never used it but it was nice to just have it same with a headphonejack which i also never used
some complaints i have
ce markings on the back and youtubers receiving specialized s22 ultras with no markings it's so unfair, i spoke to samsung and they told me these specialized review units are what samsung envisioned for the design before regulations of ce markings, allthought sony hid all these markings inside on paper on older xperia devices why couldn't samsung do that? oddly enough sony stopped doing that too, and i hate it.
camera performance is terrible just terrible
lag overall in the ui not sure if it's exynos or the fact that i received mine 2 weeks ago before the day 1 patch but the phone does not feel smooth
speaker not frontfacing i miss that from my sony
the s22 ultra is the phone sony should have made not samsung
i think foldables are the better way to go at that price but i am so obsessed with design and i can't stand the design of foldables right now weirdly almost closed, asymetrical for no reason at all as those curves can be removed but i guess people are obsessed about curves, if the fold 4 has a squared off design like the s22 ultra i'd buy that instead
People who still use wired headphones aren't doing it because it's ironic, they're doing it because they prefer the quality and consistency that a wire provides, it doesn't go much deeper then that.
The "don't be a creep" bit had me laughing out loud
Mission accomplished! Haha - wanted to do it with a wig and a dress, but ran out of time.
That star wars callout to dex was genius
The best tech reviewer in the game! Hands down 👏
A delight of video as always, i liked that segment called 60 seconds, good place to hace a quick review of features to not forget.
Liked as always
This sort of review comes only from the Mr. Mobile. Informative, fun, excellent narrative and amazing editing. One of my favorite Tech channels for a reason.
I mean to be honest at 1:23 there is so much space on the right side of the phone, they really could have fit the headphone jack.
Have been waiting for this review! This will help me decide if I should keep my Pixel 6 pro or return and get S22 Ultra.
Skip
Keep your Pixel unless it's giving you troubles. I know there's a lot of software issues plaguing the Pixel 6 Pro.

Your narrative skill is exceptional. Well done, Mr Mobile.
I absolutely LOVE my S22 Ultra! It arrived early like two days ago, and I love the loud speakers and brighter screen! I came from the S21 Ultra and it's quite the difference! 😌
Are the speakers an improvement over the S21 Ultra ones?
@@drstrr Definitely! Not significantly, but you could definitely tell a difference!
So the brightness is a upgrade ? I'm coming from the s20 ultra and getting the s22 ultra in 2 weeks mainly because of the new brightness feature since I'm outside alot with my phone
Great review of the camera. not many youtubers go to this length to review it. I really enjoyed the sample shots you took
I find s22ultra images too sharp. There are often even sharpening halos in pictures.
Ha- I'll do another, don't worry!
Am impressed by this phone honestly, can’t wait to have access to it (Samsung only sending spares to every shops event for the biggest carrier in France) I was hesitating with a fold3 but the cameras make it a winner to me.
They all should bring back the Micro Sd card in all phones
Still the best narrator in the game, with actually useful review info in your videos. It's more than just eye candy, it's quality content. Keep up the great work!
Your videos are so beautiful. They are really enjoyable to watch.
Thank you!
As the norm for Mr.Mobile, Fantastic crisp review 👌
And the background score is just ever so fitting 💕
WONDERFUL
Hopefully, in a few iterations they bring back extendable storage. That's the big deciding factor for me when upgrade in a few more years. ,
I think that ship has long saled with Samsung.... and wont come back.
They try too hard to be apple
Never say never…
…never!
There will be other options elsewhere if that turns out to be the case.
@@Matanumi they've already done it once. Realized the mistake then brought it back.
Wow the cameras on this thing are amazing. That first video in the harbor had so much going on and that video picked up every detail.
The gold standard of RUclips phone reviews. Thanks, Michael! 💯
Well the higher megapickel count is to blame here, not much they can do.
You are better off with an Xperia if you shoot moving subjects a lot.

Thank you for "ALWAYS" making such super informative reviews here on youtube. Always look forward to your reviews.💓
I like the zoom on my s21 ultra while I had it. I found the 6 pro camera to be more consistent and especially with skin tones. Thought it was marketing first lol. That was the only advantage was the 100 time zoom. I never take photos that far. Not even on my mirror less camera
