In this video, I share a valuable lesson learned during my previous trip about the importance of leader length when dragging baits for catfish-you don't always need long leaders for success! My buddy Clint and I spent the day chasing catfish, starting with catching fresh Skipjack for bait (it doesn’t get better than that).
After a break at Calhoun's on the River for some much-needed fuel, we headed back out for more fishing action. The day ended on a high note when we caught the biggest catfish while dragging planer boards! We even reeled in what might be my last Flathead of the year.
