The very first item I ever crocheted was a wrap cardigan using 2 strands of yarn. I then made 2 sweater vests. And then nothing for about 45 years. I started crocheting again at the start of the pandemic, but I've yet to make a wearable. I think this cocoon cardigan will break the draught. 😊

I did almost the same thing. I made cardigans, pullovers, hats, and scarfs for my kids every year when they were little. Then, I stopped for 39 years and picked it back up just this year. This will make a great project for a gift for my daughter-in-law for Christmas.

Wow, I finished the body of the shrug worked up quickly but I chickened out on the ribbing. I finished off with a double crochet half double crochet border. I chose to make body from a wine 4 weight and brown border. I wish it had more flow but it is OK. My first wearable. Thanks for the easy tutorial. Remember, it doesn't have to be perfect.

Still working on the waffle stitch blanket 🧶🤦🏻‍♀️. My daughter n I share an apt, she has an Australian Shepherd about 18 mos old who LOVES to eat my yarn! Still trying to untangle part of another ball of yarn so my crocheting is slow cuz he goes after it even if it’s in the yarn bag I keep it in. ❤❤gayle
