Crystal, I just wanted to tell you THANK YOU for all your words of encouragement about not giving up & just keep trying. I have gotten SO frustrated so many times & given up on crochet projects until hearing you today!!! I will now go back to old unfinished projects due to frustration & try again. The best part of following your tutorials is you make it SO easy to learn to do projects!!! Again, thanks!!!

Good for you Judith! It's ok to get frustrated but you CAN do it!!! I've been learning from Crystal for years... She's fabulous. Best of luck on all of your projects, you will find joy in everything thing you make! ❤️

I feel like this too. Several times as a teenager and in my mature years, I’ve tried and tried to get the absolute basics of knitting & crochet - but I never managed to even memorise how to do any given stitch, let alone achieve reasonably consistent tension. I never produced a granny square in my life!
Just learning to do a consistent foundation chain is a big achievement for me! With Crystal’s videos, it made me feel just fine about starting off a sample, unravelling, and doing it over till some simple stitch eventually comes out. It feels like it’s just fine to take the time and enjoy to do it.
I also love how Crystal reminds us we are in charge of our own projects, that we can vary things to suit ourselves. I think she teaches at a deeper level in this way.

I carefully did a crochet pattern from Annie's years ago and met the requirements for sizing when I did a test swatch. I'm a larger than average girl and just wanted to make the XL for a slouchy cardigan. When I got done following the pattern exactly, I wound up with a 3X cardigan! It was beautiful, but I donated it to a woman's shelter for a really big girl. So I know exactly how you feel. I really like Crystal's made to measure patterns. After tax season I want to try one!

Crystal I want to Thank you so much for showing us not only how to crochet this IMO! Stunning Cardigan, but also teaching us in the previous video how to crochet the dimensions on how to determine everyone’s own body type. I truly can’t Thank you enough for all that you have taught me as I’ve followed you through the years, and how many of your patterns that I have not only made for myself ( I’m always Last on the list) LOL, but the sentimental items like my 1st grandchild’s newborn baby dress. I could have never made that beautiful little dress without your tutorial. I used the exact same rose yarn & I made the little headband also. Thank you so much. Although we don’t know each other I do consider you a RUclips friend & an Excellent Teacher.
    Have a Great Day

I love your attention to detail, especially when seaming the pieces together. This would be a great project to practise seaming because the horizontal lines across each piece will make lining it up so much easier. The cardigan is beautiful and if it did come from Grandpa's closet, then Grandpa has very good taste 😉😊 😍

I did take inspiration from many of your videos recently to make myself a vest out of the smoke colored ciao ‘paca yarn that Premier had on their Black Friday sale. It came out just the way I wanted. I was so pleased. I had never made a vest before for myself. I made a matching beanie too! It keeps me toasty warm. ❤

You get so many comments I’m not sure you’ll see this, but I’m sending it anyway. Lol. I am in trouble. Today I was searching for something in my craft room and came across a package a friend sent me years ago with a bunch of old crochet hooks. I hadn’t thought much of it at the time because I am fairly picky about certain aspects of my hooks. I decided to look through them today and lo and behold there were a handful of old Hero hooks. After hearing you talk about them, I rescued them from the package and decided I would give them a try. This tutorial came up right on time for that. Luckily, there was an H hook in there and started this sweater with it. I LOVE it!!! Which sucks for me since they are no longer available and I am a notorious loser of hooks. I swear the dog eats them! Just thought I’d share. Even though I am a stranger to you, you are in my living room every day so feel like an old friend (not in a creepy way, lol).
