I just love how you put all the different patterns and colors together in a room to make it your own style. The designers are correct...buy what you like, add colors and patterns and add your own personal touches to make a space or spaces in your home look fabulous.

What a beautiful use of bold color and pattern, you put everything together nicely. I absolutely love how you've taken the emotion from your experience in these designers homes and incorporated them into your own. Many of the homes you showcase have walls covered in collections of framed art, something I love. So something I did in my home is framed a collection of photographs from our travels and displayed them in our main living area. Not only do they serve as a reminder of fun times but they serve as a conversation piece for our guests. I also love traditional oil paintings in ornate frames. I had set some aside thinking they looked outdated.. I brought them all back inside and put them everywhere, even the bathroom. I decided that surrounding myself with things I love is always on trend. Thank you for all that you do, I absolutely LOVE your channel. Xox

Bonjour Susanna and Stacy ! Hope you had great Holidays and that my note will find you both and your family in great health and spirit. I know from watching CNN that the past few weeks was a lot chaotic in the U.S., hopefully tings will get better from now on, although the pandemic is quite a "moment" to go through. Like you guys here in Québec city we are spending most of our time at home. That being said, I use that time to change things around my home, the inspiration came from a lot from the wonderful videos that you, ladies, provided to us. Funny enough, I was thinking of Alex Papachristidis this week when he said : " always have 9 yellow lemons on the table for good luck " in one of the video you made - I was putting some yellow lemons on a nice bowl on my table and I found myself counting them !!! That is one example of watching your videos is so wonderful, there is always something to be learn or be inspire by. Wonderful visit of your home Susanna, you did so well in so many aspects of changing or adding things. Bravo ! Looking forward for more wonderful videos.. in the meantime, I an revisiting some of the previous ones and they still bring endless pleasure. oxox

My parents were hoarders. The lesson I've been attempting to learn is a simple one that goes back to William Morris (& for the slight misquote...) "Have nothing in your home that is not useful or beautiful". I aim for both. And I'm slowly starting to learn that the things I need to keep are the ones that have the best stories. I have been encouraged to be bold, love it and combine the things I love everywhere in my home. It's a process but I am on my way and with a newly decorated living room with a black and white rug, a green sofa, a grey blue shade on the wall and a console table decorated with plants, candles and some loved books - the gallery wall is the next thing to get my head around, but what I have now is confidence and a joy of interior design. Don't be afraid, buy what you love. Outstanding advice. I love how you show how the designers homes that you have visited has inspired your own gorgeous home. So many outstanding tips such as the spectacular tv room painted in cobalt blue. The combination of the yellow curtains and green sofa is inspired and it works because its all in the same tone and saturation. So good. I also love the museum postcard on the door -so witty and fun. Especially love how you do the stair-runner and outdoor pillows on a budget and its looks sensational. This is a favorite episode.

We so often get fed that we need to decorate this way or follow a trend, neither of which I do. I am inspired by vlogs such as this and have enjoyed seeing homes of others who make their house a home with their uniqueness and love of color and pattern.
