Paen is pretty broken, but its kind of wasted on Thief. Best user of it is Mystic Spearhand. Their ultimate will straight up kill anything in seconds without even hitting the weakpoints.... you can just non stop spam the hits on the ultimate until anything is dead. Saw it take a dragon from 5 bars to 0 in about 15 seconds.
Mystic spearhand is a bit overused making it boring to play so the theif thing is the go to with paen and blades of pyre
Just like in DD1, skull splitter FTW!! I'm not quite there yet in DD2, but I remember being able to kill Daimon with it in seconds solo.
From the description of the skill I thought it was something I had to go touch to get the buff knowing this I may have to see if Amy will add it to her pawn. I don't use formless feint, but it will be great for climbing and my sorceress's love of nukes!

Something borked while I was running the quest to get this skill and the grandma never gave me the scroll to learn Celestial Paeon. She got attacked by a wolf midsentence while I was talking to her and she never handed over the reward. I'm in ng+ now so I'll have to run the quest again to see if I can get it once I'm further along.
@@amyranth44 That was the Paeon spell? I thought that was one of the Sorceress spells that you had lost due to that! I think I'm mostly done with everything I really wanted to do for my first run so I'll be poking the big dragon soon myself.
Two of the books have original copies that you can give the second quest giver plus the fakes. When you get the spells from the girl and grandparents she should also gives you a ring, wait until you have to stop the girl from going berserk and wait a day or two before you see her again. Before going to her dad have the ring she gave you equipped. You'll get special dialogue and after a few visits you should also get his spell.

Why don’t you just have your main pawn with is ability on all four hot bars and have 3 thief?
LOL have you tried Sorcerer? and not like 3... just u with one bomb in the hold, stam up then place a bomb on the dragon chest hit it with the staff 2-3 times unleash the bomb from the staff on top of the initial one and cast another on the same spot... and by now the first bomb will start exploding buffing the other 2 bombs ... short story ... in 30 sec from the first placed bomb any dragon is dead. One Sorcerer plaid correctly by the player.
Or just eat stam regen food. The games pretty easy anyway, I reckon there are quicker time to kill setups.

I gave my main pawn mage celestial paean in all 4 weapon slots, and hired 2 sorcerers with meteoron and augural flare, me as the Thief. Disgustingly broken.
Cupcake Crumb and Sleepy Sprinkles are looking quite tasty.
People went from being bad at the game to decent at it now everything they do is “broken”.
The game is easy, you can push through it just using the thieves spin to win move. Need easier? Use formless feint. Need easier? Hire a sorc with meteor and/or tornado.

Why tf do all content creators for video games struggle so much with pronunciation. "CELESTRIAL" why the R? Seriously, it's a pattern I've noticed amongst most creators for video games. Not trying to single this guy out but there is always some random word they can't say correctly 😂

No, they intentionally made the game like that, its a power fantasy and if you want difficulty you have to nerf yourself. Was the same thing with the first one. Go adventure however you find most enjoyable.
Sry but Thief is not the Best when its all about raw DPS . With the Mystic Archer and the Maisterability (Ulti) i can deleate a Dragon in 10 sec with 6-7 Life Bars. But i dont do this anymore because it drains your max Life and you have to Rest after every Fight to get your Max Life full again. Instead i use the Homing Frost Shot Skill, wich stays a very long Time, hitting the Points you marked over and over again and also freezes the Bosses from Time to Time. Basicaly i just run around and Auto Kill everything that comes my way, i dont care if it is a Dragon or what ever. Offten the Dragons will be dead before the Battlemusic starts and the Dragon triggers at me. But i dont have played every Class jet, so maybe there is a better raw DPS Class out there ( i highly doubt it) you never know. But overall the Game is absolute Amazing and the Classes i played are all fun to play. Dragons Dogma 2 and Horizon 2 are both very amazing Games. Horizon 2 is for me the best Game i ever played. Everything was perfect, but Dragons Dogma 2 is also amazing.

@@Firespark81 Trash Ability? I dont know about that, but like i also wrote i use a different Skill and its also faster then the Thief. A lot faster actually. I also played Thief for the most Part of the Game and he is Very fun and strong, but he is not stronger then the Magic Archer. It is what it is. The best thing that Thief does is that he is very fast and agile and ofcourse he does good damage - no doubts - i played him allot also. But with the Magic Archer u dont have to grappel on the Bosses or wait till they come down or force them to come down or fly with them or realy anything. Just aim and release destruction. Like i say the Thief is very good but in comparisen ONLY FOR RAW DAMAGE OUTPUT! Magic Archer does more and faster.
@@paralexgaming5985 in the unmoored the thief is definitely the strongest class in the game, I can explore it just by myself and my main pawn who isn't even a mage so we never have to heal (just because I can kill everything that fast) I played as magic archer on the other hand and I always need to bring a mage/warrior because someone needs to take agro while I have to set up for dmg and even then sometimes I end up leaving the fight with a slither of hp because I'm just barraged with so many enemies I can't manage. You won't even be able to use that life draining move in the unmoored because you're limited in the number of days, you can't sleep unless you have all heal pots or rest at the seabed floor inn and waste a day you could have been killing more enemies. And as a Thief you don't even need to grapple onto enemies all you need is formless feint and blades of pyre and you'll melt all these bosses hp. Dragon forge the blades of pyre ability and you'll be able to spam it 15x AS WELL as having formless feint on and considering it takes around 9x formless feint to kill a lesser drake, and even just 2x to kill a griphon the game becomes so easy its just boring.
i dont really wanna talk down your video(s) but i dont think dragons dogma need this kind of super broken things. because of its general difficulty. i mean you mentioned the thief being kind of broken by itself with the masterskill, so taking the exploits to even a higher level is uncalled for.
if you keep in mind that the "most difficult" enemies in the game are the dragons and you fight how many of those in an entire playthrough? 6-10 maybe? and i also include the true ending fights here as well.
what i'm trying to say is, that the game is - thankfully - well balanced to make it beatable fairly easy with any vocation. at least compared to similar games like this (e.g. dark souls, elden ring)
The only people who are in any position to say what the game needs and what is called for are the people that made it since they can actually implement the change across the board. Even then they can't really stop people (who have a different view of what the game may or may not need) from cheating and modding . They can try to ban accounts that do that stuff but you can always unplug you internet connection and use cheat engine to give yourself unlimited stamina (for example) in the game if you are worried about some sort of retribution for doing so.
@@Pimpemon Sure, but there is nothing that Firespark is showing in this video or the one on the thief that are cheats or even exploits, they are just party configurations and the use of skills. Is it overkill for the current bosses you fight? Probably. I finished the game without having to do any particular min/maxing but who knows, if dlc similar to BBI drops in the future, some folks will definitely be trying to run the most powerful efficient builds possible.
@amyranth44 I know but OP said what was already in the game was uncalled for. Whos to say that manipualting the game in this way is un called for? I just went with an extreme example of what would actually be cheating and potentially uncalled for.
hopefully capcom just let people do whatever they can come up with, no matter how broken it is. if they go the way of diablo 4 and just start nerfing everything people do the game will be dead in a month!
They know its broken, they are not going to change it. It's meant for people to play as they see fit.

Nothing about this is broken - I just see a good strategy! Plus ☝️ This so called Arisen person is pretty weak from my perspective. How is it this all mighty Arisen is capable of being kidnapped by a pack of wolves against his/ her own will?? Weird! Yeah I’m modding that nonsense out.
