Higher levels mean less people renting your pawn
And by the time you get to high levels you'll have a chunk of useless rift crystals anyway
I’m level 105, sitting on 20000 rift crystals. It really doesn’t matter.
Plus your pawn will be 1 out of 100 instead of 1 out of 10000.
I've found that explosive arrows are the best choice for big monsters when using this bow.
Loving warrior, tried a couple different vocations but nothing else has felt as satisfying as knocking a massive enemy out with one skyward followed by a jump heavy and then getting the Y execute on their prone face for multiple HP bars in less than 10 seconds
Use the vocation that allows you to switch vocations. Weaken enemies with your op thief and switch to your bow for the last hit.
Playing Warfarer will make bigger enemies much more manageable. For instance just having skull splitter from thief daggers will delete health bars, even early. Then finish with the bow quick. Worked for me anyway. Also as far as weight, dragon forging with reduce it by half. The thief has bump and lift to steal items, use it on dragons (plus ballistas if possible) to get the material and there you go :)

Warfarer lets you level up EVERY vocation at the same time. The drawbacks to Warfarer are not having access to Meister skills (except rearmement), and you get less stat increases (which can be offset by The Dragonforged in NG+ by boosting Warferer level ups).
All in all. The Warfarer is the best vocation unless you seriously want to use meister skills.
Your pawn gets increased xp if it last hits with the bow. I equipped it on my pawn at level 20. Just reached endgame and they arelow 80s and I am 58. I let it last hit bosses and mostly just play mage support
So using this bow I’m gifting it to myself on a new game and then then unlocking wayfarer out straight away to see how the set stat build is early game

@@Wizard_Pikachu some good preparation send yourself yout portcrystals and newt liquor and lion mask if you trying the wayfarer run early game
Don't need the Beastren Mask if you do it illegally. Eventually nobody will bother you short of terse remarks and thats it.
@@solidmoon8266 you’re right. Doing it this way tho I think you gotta wait till your past a certain point after the gate so the guards don’t agro you.

If you struggle in the game just follow this and your problems are solved: (or don't do it if you want some difficulty, you can also avoid playing Thief to make the game harder)
Just take a Sorcerer Pawn with Meteor and 3 random normal skills (skip the 2nd ultimate). Or even a Sorcerer with only Meteor.
Cherry on the cake would be with decent talents like "less likely to get focus" and maybe rings that increase casting speed.
It will carry every single fight the game has to offer. (add a Support Mage and a Tank Fighter or Warrior with aggro spell)
Then you will end up finding Magick Archer class at some point with it's ultimate and the game is free till the end. The ultimate one shot nearly every single boss in the game (except 3 or 4 bosses in the true ending), but it's still super effective with the rest of the spells against them.
In addition you can use "blue pots" to restore your health bar to full or use respawn stones to restore it too (wouldn't recommend the 2nd option but it's still an option)
Wouldn't it be easier to use a regular bow against bosses until they're close to death and then switch to this one?
They are not going to nerf the Medusa bow it is meant to give 400% XP gain and when you become higher and higher level them you need more XP anyway

It's funny that the item description says that increases XP gain but increases stamina usage for skills. Why would they nerf something that is intentional?
@@demonintellect9834 nerf ? When a bow has a 400% XP boost and has a higher stamina cost then it is not a nerf but a debuff. you have to balance a weapon or it will just be the best bow in the game because of the XP gain

Whats good about the Medusan bow is the amount of XP you get after giving the killing bow to the enemies . You lvl up wayyy much quicker. Just max it out to halve the weight of the bow
they better not nerf it it this is a single player game with a max lvl of 999 and it already takes a long time to lvl up to high lvls and ppl r using the gamehub as well to rent ppls pawns but i personally use lower lvls to help those pawns
What exactly are you helping with outside of giving the owner of the pawn an item that is probably useless... it's not RC cause if they are lower level they are free
You still get RC if your pawn gets rented. You can also get pawn badges, set quests, and even get stuff gifted to you

There’s no need to even grind to level 999. You can get there playing this game on and off.
No, but if you wanted to you could. Except getting there would take 3+ years of casual playing 1-2 hours a day.
People are expecting something similar to BBI for this game (I know I am), so they want to grind up the levels so they can jump into it right away and get the full experience right off the jump

The truth is the bugs are minor
game is amazing.
Its light years away from being as bad as you imagine or hear.

The original Dragon's Dogma Dark Arisen is often on sale for deep discounts and still stands up as a good game and if you like that game, you'll like/love this game. I'm playing the game on an older pc with a 1660ti graphics card and while I need low settings, the game is working fine. I've crashed to desktop a few times but that's the only technical problems I've seen.

There's actually a faster way now if you're in Archer there's an area where you can get an activate a ballista to kill off a dragon in two shots and then you take his material to a hidden vendor and then by the one shot arrow in the game that you can only have one of and then one shot Medusa and get her bow.
But does this also cut off her head, too?
Use the shield on medusa or cut her head off. Don't waste the arrow on her. If anything, use it on the sphinx. But she has numerous riddles to defeating her too.
With new game plus not adding any higher difficulty it’s a huge waste to power level

idk why ppl rush high lvls this much, after lvl 40-45 imo it doesnt matter that much and also higher your pawn level is less they will get hired. After a point like lvl 40 +/- gear is much more important than level
Higher levels will bump up your stats so you can wear armor you like vs. Stats to keep you from dying.

You're probably not utilizing new skills of the current vocation and not upgrading the equipments.
Try different vocations if it doesn't click
Plan your party of pawns more around your weak spots. Holy Trinity make Sense. Tank with taunt, healer and dds and your good to go

Depending on your vocation, it could just be you not using it properly.
Sorceror for instance shouldn't be on the front lines.
Warriors need to be aware of timing, theif needs to be aware of dodging, so on so forth.

Ya, but going through the story over and over again will just get boring and tedious. Gotta mix it up somehow.
If you are really hardcore you could throw your main pawn in the drink and not get them back at the rift stone. That is if they don't fall in by themselves first.
That's not hardcore that's just trying to make the game harder because it's easy
Just do the story. Levels past 50 honestly, a waste. No need for a levelling guide, when there isnt harder content. Play the game regularly and you will win. BF beat with a level 35 no problemo endgame and all. They wont nerf it, bc there is really no need for it and its a solo game.
Im leveling as much as possible for an unarmed run levels still increase stats depending what vocation you have on
I can beat it at level 3 with thief.
Lvl 50 is softcap. After that your stats wont grow much Till 225 hardcap. U wont be able to do an unarmed Run @@TTVtsrgame
I'm sure we got hard mode coming I hope they do something like a nightmare mode where enemies have chance to be the unmoored world variants and double the regular enemies like dmc's legendary Dark knight mode and enemies will drop more gold and rift crystals

it does work on your pawn, if your pawn uses it.. the pawn will benefit from the increase xp boost, my pawn is higher level than me cuz I had given her the bow to use for a while
I was gonna say the same because I notice when I used it I out leveled my pawn so fast. So I figured this is how I level up my pawn too
I tested this over and over. The pawn kills a deer and you get 10xp not 40. It does not work on the pawn or if it does the pawn is getting the exp and you are not which kinda defeats the whole reason to do it.
