Nope. It was literally last minute 😬
He was probably busy on the phone and what not trying to figure out if the deal was going to get done. If you are an hour or two from a debut and not even signed yet, I doubt you'd be chilling on the couch in front of your tv. Plus, it took him 20 minutes to get there, he was in his car for a spell, and he was in an office for a spell before being led to the curtain. Good chance the show was barely underway when he left the house.
If Hunter had taken over sooner lots of wrestlers would have stayed.

@@cjfox7674 there were rumors but they amounted to nothing. This was a very last minute ordeal thanks to Nick Khan reconnecting Triple H and CM Punk. And it really does show how his return went. A lot of real reactions and the fact Punk was only wearing a plain white T shirt.
