I wouldn't say he is the greatest needle mover of all time. But he is certainly in the top echolons of this sport, thats for sure. Hogan, Flair, Austin and Rock have drawn the same if not more than him. He definetly is the biggest draw i wrestling for about 5 years now - and at that point he has stopped wrestling for almost 5 lol. The buzz he creates is crazy huge. Story was his contract was expiring at MitB and he was gonna win the WWE title from Cena and take it with him (his contract truly was expiring too). So on June 25th 2011 (I remember because I was there in Vegas) he attacked Cena at the end of Raw and walked up the ramp, sat down with his legs crossed, and gave one of the most iconic promos of all time. Many said it was his "Austin 3:16" moment and they were right. After that Punk was pretty much a made man in wrestling. He was the first star since Cena became the face of the WWE to out draw and out sell Cena in ratings and merch. He won the WWE title that year at Survivor Series (full circle?) And kept it from then all the way up to Royal Rumble 2013 where he lost it to the Rock. He then had a great match with Taker at WM 29, came back after that to have an outstanding feud with Heyman and his guys. Including Lesnar. Then in early 2014 he asked for time off because he was burned out and WWE fired him for being out for too long. I'm not taking Punk's side or WWE's. He had some grievances but Punk can be EXTREMELY DIFFICULT to work with. Having said that, WWE is ran by adults who constantly put aside their personal animosities in order to put on the best show possible. That's why he's back in WWE. AEW had leaders who refused to do that very thing.

He could comeback at Raw and Randy would have his moment. Randy is a future WWE Hall of Fame Legend he is the Legend Killer he is the Apex Predator, he started his way in the one of the Best Stables of All time EVOLUTION. Randy beat so much Legends when he started. What have Punk did in his way? He have good mic skills. Thats all he got. His wrestling skills in the AEW was terrible like shit. The only way WWE can make Punks comeback great is to take him to NXT and to help come over the new talented guys they work the ass off for get the Spotlight. So many talented guys like Ilya Dragunov, Trick Williams, Carmello Hayes, Bron Breaker, there are to many good workers. CM Punk would be a big help for NXT.

It takes a LOT in today's world to make most of us feel like kids again, and love or hate CM Punk...returns like this accomplish that for those of us that have been following wrestling for decades. I fell asleep because I had gotten up for work at 2am that day, and trying to stay up to the end of a WWE event is near impossible. The FIRST thing I saw on my phone when I picked it up at 2am was "CM Punk returns at Wargames!" and that made the snooze button irrelevant.
Imagine being one of the people that decided to watch Collision and Rampage live as Tony Khan decided to suicide his week by going head to head with a WWE PLE/PPV featuring a double return of Punk and Orton.

As a wrestling fan many years, I have known people who have bad blood with the WWE. Bret Hart was on top of the list and never thought he would be even back in the ring, let alone Ultimate Warrior. Then, the miracle of CM Punk seeing him in the WWE shocked me and got my interest to see what his run here would do. Sure I have seen him in AEW, which I am grateful for Tony for getting him back in the ring, but this is a different story. I am happy to see him again and looking healthier. Love the reactions as well.

As a wrestling fan many years, I have known people who have bad blood with the WWE. Bret Hart was on top of the list and never thought he would be even back in the ring, let alone Ultimate Warrior.
Then, the miracle of CM Punk seeing him in the WWE shocked me and got my interest to see what his run here would do. Sure I have seen him in AEW, which I am grateful for Tony for getting him back in the ring, but this is a different story.
I am happy to see him again and looking healthier. Love the reactions as well.
