Liga Skirbauska I got here from Teoh, too! :D Beautiful works of art by Erin! Wow. And I'm a hop, skip, and a jump away from her gallery! I will have to visit soon!
In luv with your paintings..... So beautiful n vibrant.....fresh n so imaginative....sooo beautiful..... No words just a humble appreciation.....fly high....best honest wishes
One look, and I’m a giant fan already. I would love to try something like this. I will follow this work. I haven’t actually bought any art before, but this something worth saving for.
Love your work! I would also call your work, Metaphorical Impressionism, as it creates on canvas (with your confident colors and bold, impasto strokes) something so engaging, that it can fool the viewer into believing it is reality (even with the sometimes exaggerated colors. I hail from west Texas, in the Chihuahuan desert, so I know desert colors.) I too am a fan of Impressionism and try to create a metaphorical image in my own paintings. I, like you, am a light hunter. Bravo!
Lovely work Erin , you have inspired me, l have been painting for a long time, l loved guigin and Van Gogh and the impressionist thing but l really love the Nabi, movement, l think your work is reminiscent of the nabi, ideal, l will follow your lead, also you have also that Taos, thing , all that light over there, Australia is a dark place at the moment, l will try to brighten things up, my name is Anthony Bennett. Namaste, Erin.
Stunning paintings, colours all...breathtaking..I wonder what colours are imprescindible for her to make all this beauty? White,Cadmium yellow medium, cadmium red light, magenta, ultramarine and burned amber? Anyone please tell me if you know, vital information for me there
Her main technique for color is to use bright vivid colors that don't muddy, so that is probably a good place to start in researching what colors to use. You really only need three primary colors and white and you can make any color. Look up different color wheels.
@@cheers2023 I know well colour theory. Its just BS talk you need just 3 colours..no you can’t mix all colours with just 3 colours ..we wouldn’t buy Cobalt teal and spend so much on that pigment if we could mix it just as one example..Magenta you also can’t mix...primary? There are two primary colour wheels.Lemon yellow, magenta, cyan and black like in printer.Or yellow,red,blue..but depending on pigments you get all tonalities...one blue with one yellow will make one tonalities, other yellow or other blue will create absolutely different colours.reds too are very interesting and can get tricky..so yeah..I have tons of all kind a paints, acrylics, watercolours, oils and so on..wouldn’t spend fortune in specific colours, specific pigments if that wouldn’t be needed..with mixing you can’t get intensity of colours, especially if want transparent colours.will need to buy those rose reds, and quinacradon purples...or go and mix and see with real eye,can you rally get all colours? Maybe for colourblind who don’t sees difference.Same ultramarine depending on brands can be diferente and make different mixes.so no colour is not that easy as 3 primary colours.same you can’t mix simple yellow ochre and that’s soo much used to make colour less plastic looking, more complicated looking...so yeah, with colours as more pigments you have more choice you really got..Ofcourse if you don’t know basic colour theory not even all pigments in world will gona save you’re artpeace.also you saying she’s using vivid colours that don’t muddy? What that even means, always when you mix 3 primaries you get muddy colour there is no way around it! So yeah suggest you look up proper colour theory and don’t sell BS propaganda we need just 3 colours..will need atleast white and black to add to that, ocres, cobalt teal, good purple(not mixed from magenta and blue, but proper quinacradon),you can’t mix so intense, bright proper colours, you never will see them on you’re palette no matter how you mix..if you don’t care for subtitle changes and just do stuff for fun, that’s ok do the best you can with what you have, but don’t even try to get same cobalt teal, magenta, ochre you’ll spend all paint in you’re pots and won’t come even near.. so yeah, nice try but no.BS stories like you need only 3 colours are why so many spend years mixing and suffering, instead of getting pigment they really need, students get frustrated ,think they never gona learn and get depressed.when all they needed is to get couple tubes of paint more, know what tubes work grate with what tubes, what colour palette and intensity you get there and then you’ll spend couple tubes until you tie them well together.and years of work to see and appreciate subtitle changes in intensity. So 3 colours my arse.my basic colour palette is lemon yellow, dark yellow, ochre, rose red,Naphtali red, magenta, cyan, cobalt teal, ultramarine, burned umber, pains gray and white.thats for me is basic of basics.I tend to add quinacradon Rose and purple and phalo green.so yeah it’s 14 basic pigments and colours on my palette not 3 basic colour as you sed and from those then yes I can mix and get..and still my personal colour mixing and eye is not so trained as this artists, that takes decades do develop in most cases and deffinetly is not build with 3 paint tubes.I bet you would loose speech to see she’s paint and pigment collection.so yeah suggest you to return to that colour theory and try you’re best with just 3 colours,go make phalo green, magenta, simple yellow ochre, quinacradon purple..common I say take 5 colours to make it easier, let me know when will get atleast one of those colours you sed need just 3 colours to mix..like we who buy tubes of paint and pigments are stupid and just wanna spend, don’t know mixing and colour theory? 🤦🏼♀️😂 so good luck
@@ligaskirbauska8652 my three primary colors consist of ultramarine blue, quinacradone magenta, and cad yellow lemon. I never said basic yellow, red, blue. But yes, you can get an array of bright colors with three strong primaries. You don't have to take my advice but please refrain from the drama.
@@ligaskirbauska8652 yes with basic primary colors you can make all of the colors of the rainbow 🌈 If you need a special kind of teal then yes you have to buy specialty colors.
This looks wonderful but I wish there was a way to bring your art into my house on my budget! :) Maybe this book will be on my Christmas list. Meanwhile, I'm thinking I'll get the calendar (even though it's for last year!).

It gives me not at all any peace, it gives me excitement
How much is your book and where can I buy one?
What is the difference between Open Impressionism and Post Impressionism?
ruclips.net/video/NeIR11PJjgk/видео.htmlm46s - Does anyone know what colors Erin uses?
She use Winsor & Newton. If you search other option, Royal Talens is excellent too
Thanks!
still just impressionism, its all been done nothing new here.
Wonderful Erin ...
